Injective Morita contexts (revisited)

Abstract

This paper is an exposition of the so-called injective Morita contexts (in which the connecting bimodule morphisms are injective) and Morita $α$contexts (in which the connecting bimodules enjoy some local projectivity in the sense of Zimmermann-Huisgen). Motivated by situations in which only one trace ideal is in action, or the compatibility between the bimodule morphisms is not needed, we introduce the notions of Morita semi-contexts and Morita data, and investigate them. Injective Morita data will be used (with the help of static and adstatic modules) to establish equivalences between some intersecting subcategories related to subcategories of modules that are localized or colocalized by trace ideals of a Morita datum. We end up with applications of Morita $α$-contexts to $\ast$-modules and injective right wide Morita contexts.

Jacobson radicals of Ore extensions

Let $R$ be a ring, $σ$ be an automorphism of $R$, and $D$ be a $σ$-derivation on $R$ with $Dσ=σD$. We will show that $J(R[x;σ,D])\subseteq A[x;σ,D]$ where $A$ is a collection of all leading coefficients of polynomials in $J(R[x;σ,D])$. In addition, we will prove that $J(R[x;σ,D])\cap R$ is nil if $σ$ is locally torsion and one of the following conditions is given: (1) $R$ is a PI-ring and $D$ is $q$-skew, (2) $R$ is an algebra over a field of characteristic $p>0$ and $D$ is a locally nilpotent derivation such that $σD=Dσ$. This answers partially an open question by Greenfeld, Smoktunowicz and Ziembowski.

Projective Differential Moment Invariants from the Viewpoint of Classical Invariant Theory

Polynomial first-order projective differential moment invariants are investigated. The main result establishes an exact correspondence between such moment invariants and symmetric polynomial multipoint relative projective differential invariants of weight $-1$. This correspondence describes each homogeneous component with respect to moment degree and allows previously obtained results on relative projective invariants to be used for systematic construction. It is also proved that passing from the formal algebra of moments to their integral definitions introduces no additional algebraic relations among the constructed invariants. For low moment degrees, the absence of nontrivial invariants of degrees $1$ and $2$ is established, and a complete description of degree $3$ invariants is obtained. The ten cubic differential moments are naturally identified with the coefficients of a ternary cubic, connecting the construction with classical invariant theory. In particular, the Aronhold invariants $S$ and $T$ yield projective differential moment invariants of degrees $4$ and $6$. One of the known moment invariants of Wang et al. is shown to be proportional to $S$. The algebra of polynomial moment invariants is proved not to be finitely generated. The field of rational moment invariants coincides with the field of fractions of the polynomial invariant algebra. For the explicit constructions, compact multipoint representations define the corresponding moment polynomials without requiring their full expansions. These representations provide a basis for algorithmic construction and software computation of the invariants.
