Abstract

Some aspects of analysis on disconnected sets are briefly discussed, more along the lines of regions with infinitely many components than Cantor sets.

On Cone Restriction Estimates in Higher Dimensions

We revisit the Ou-Wang's approach to the cone restriction problem via polynomial partitioning. By recasting their inductive scheme as a recursive algorithm and incorporating the nested polynomial Wolff axioms, we obtain improved bounds for cone restriction estimates in higher dimensions.

Littlewood-Paley and Carleson measure characterizations of Lipschitz spaces adapted to Schrödinger operators

Let $L =-Δ+V$ be a Schrödinger operator on $\mathbb{R}^n$, $n \geq 3$, with the potential $V$ being nonnegative and belonging to the reverse Hölder class $RH_q$ for some $q >n/2$. For $0< α<2$, the Lipschitz space $Λ_L^α(\mathbb{R}^n)$ adapted to $L$ is defined as the space of all measurable functions $f$ on $\mathbb{R}^n$ such that \[ \|f\|_{Λ_L^α}:= \|ρ(\cdot)^{-α}f(\cdot)\|_{L^\infty}+ \sup_{z \in \mathbb{R}^n \backslash \{0\}} \frac{\|f(\cdot + z) + f(\cdot -z) -2 f(\cdot)\|_{L^\infty}}{|z|^α} <\infty, \] where $ρ$ is the critical radius function related to $L$. In this paper, we provide characterizations of $Λ^α_L(\mathbb{R}^n)$ in terms of Littlewood-Paley-type decompositions and Carleson measures, for $0< α< 2 -(n /q)$.

The Szemerédi-Trotter Estimate in Finite Field with its Applications

We prove a sharp Szemerédi-Trotter estimate \[\mathcal{I}(A,\mathcal{L})\lesssim \frac{|A||\mathcal{L}|}{p}+|A|^{2/3}|\mathcal{L}|^{2/3}+|A|+|\mathcal{L}|\] for prime finite field $\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{F}_p$ by a new polynomial decomposition theorem. As applications, we first prove the sharp Furstenberg set estimate in $\mathbb{F}^2$. Secondly, we improve sum-product estimate \[\max\{|A+A|,|A\cdot A|\}\gtrsim\min\{(p|A|)^{1/2},|A|^{5/4}\},\quad A\subset\mathbb{F}.\] Finally, we improve the Fourier restriction estimate $R^*(2\toα)$ holds for $α>\frac{10}{3}$ in $\mathbb{F}^3$ when $p\equiv 3\mod 4$.
