A note on scaling asymptotics for Bohr-Sommerfeld Lagrangian submanifolds

Abstract

An important problem in geometric quantization is that of quantizing certain classes of Lagrangian submanifolds, so-called Bohr-Sommerfeld Lagrangian submanifolds, equipped with a smooth half-density. A procedure for this in the complex projective setting is, roughly speaking, to apply the Szego kernel of the quantizing line bundle to a certain induced delta function supported on the submanifold. If the quantizing line bundle L is replaced by its k-th tensor power, and k tends to infinity, the resulting quantum states u_k concentrate asymptotically on the submanifold. This note deals with the scaling asymptotics of the u_k's along the submanifold; in particular, we point out a natural factorization in the corresponding asymptotic expansion, and provide some remainder estimates.

Global surfaces of section for dynamically convex Reeb flows on lens spaces

We show that a dynamically convex Reeb flow on the standard tight lens space $(L(p, 1),ξ_{\mathrm{std}})$, $p>1,$ admits a $p$-unknotted closed Reeb orbit $P$ which is the binding of a rational open book decomposition with disk-like pages. Each page is a rational global surface of section for the Reeb flow and the Conley-Zehnder index of the $p$-th iterate of $P$ is $3$. We also check dynamical convexity in the Hénon-Heiles system for low positive energies. In this case the rational open book decomposition follows from the fact that the sphere-like component of the energy surface admits a $\mathbb{Z}_{3}$-symmetric periodic orbit and the flow descends to a Reeb flow on the standard tight $(L(3,2),ξ_{\mathrm{std}})$.

Lagrangian cobordism functor in microlocal sheaf theory I

Given a Lagrangian cobordism $L$ of Legendrian submanifolds from $Λ_-$ to $Λ_+$, we construct a functor $Φ_L^*: Sh^c_{Λ_+}(M) \rightarrow Sh^c_{Λ_-}(M) \otimes_{C_{-*}(Ω_*Λ_-)} C_{-*}(Ω_*L)$ between sheaf categories of compact objects with singular support on $Λ_\pm$ and its right adjoint on sheaf categories of proper objects, using Nadler-Shende's work. This gives a sheaf theory description analogous to the Lagrangian cobordism map on Legendrian contact homologies and the right adjoint on their unital augmentation categories. We also deduce some long exact sequences and new obstructions to Lagrangian cobordisms between high dimensional Legendrian submanifolds.

Braid Stability and a Floer theory of Braid Isotopies

We build a Floer theory on the space of braids of periodic orbits of a Hamiltonian flow on a closed symplectic surface. The differential and continuation maps are defined by counting Floer isotopies of braids: tuples of Floer cylinders with pairwise disjoint graphs. With this new perspective, we prove a quantitative braid stability result that shows the persistence of braids under possibly large Hamiltonian perturbations. As an application, we show that for every $α\geq 0$ there is a sequence of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms $ϕ_k$ on the two-torus $T^2$ such that $$d_H(\operatorname{Ent}_{\leq α}(T^2,ω),ϕ_k)\to \infty \quad (k \to \infty),$$ where $\text{Ent}_{\leq α}(T^2,ω)\subset \text{Ham}(T^2,ω)$ denotes the set of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms with topological entropy at most $α$ and $d_H$ the Hofer metric. We prove this result by studying only contractible periodic orbits, whereas analogous higher-genus statements were previously obtained using non-contractible orbits.
