Cuspidal Class Number Formulae for Intermediate Modular Curves of Prime Level

Abstract

Let $X$ be a modular curve lying between $X_{0}(p)$ and $X_{1}(p)$, where $p \ge 13$ is prime. The cuspidal group of $X$ is the subgroup of its Jacobian generated by the equivalence classes of differences of cusps. In this paper, we give explicit formulae for the order of the cuspidal group, and two subgroups of it defined over the rationals.

Correlations of values of random diagonal forms

We study the value distribution of diagonal forms in k variables and degree d with random real coefficients and positive integer variables, normalized so that mean spacing is one. We show that the l-correlation of almost all such forms is Poissonian when k is large enough depending on l and d.

Galois measures and the Katz map

The purpose of this paper is to explain the proofs of the results announced by Nick Katz in 1977, namely a description of ``Galois measures for Tate modules of height two formal groups over the ring of integers of a finite unramified extension of $\mathbf{Q}_p$''.
