On Lusztig Sheaves for Tame Quivers

Abstract

Let $Q$ be a connected quiver of tame type, and let $U_v^-$ be the positive part of the corresponding quantized affine algebra. In Lusztig's construction of the canonical basis of $U_v^-$, the simple perverse sheaves occurring, up to shift, as direct summands of the flag sheaf complexes are given by intersection cohomology complexes $\operatorname{IC}(X(c,m),\mathcal{L}_χ)$. We study the restrictions of these intersection cohomology complexes to the locally closed subsets $Y(c,m)$ obtained by fixing the preprojective, non-homogeneous regular, and preinjective summands in the category $\operatorname{rep} Q$. We prove pointwise purity on the loci where the homogeneous regular part is a direct sum of pairwise non-isomorphic quasi-simple modules, and establish a semisimple decomposition of the restrictions to the corresponding larger strata. The graded multiplicities of the local systems associated with irreducible characters of symmetric groups determine the transition coefficients from the canonical basis to the PBW basis constructed via quiver representations. This gives a geometric explanation of the positivity of these coefficients and the unitriangularity of the transition matrix.

Gelfand-Kirillov dimensions and annihilator varieties of highest weight modules of exceptional Lie algebras

Let $L(λ)$ be an irreducible highest weight module of a complex simple Lie algebra of exceptional type, with highest weight $λ-ρ$, where $ρ$ is half the sum of positive roots. Its annihilator variety is the closure of a nilpotent orbit of dimension twice the Gelfand--Kirillov (GK) dimension of $L(λ)$. We develop an explicit algorithm that determines both invariants for any infinitesimal character. The GK dimension is reduced to evaluating Lusztig's $\mathbf{a}$-function on the integral Weyl group of $λ$. After decomposing the integral root system into irreducible factors, classical factors are treated by the Robinson--Schensted insertion algorithm and the H-algorithm, while exceptional factors are handled by positive index reduction and PyCox. The annihilator orbit is then recovered from the local special datum by Springer theory and Sommers duality. An implementation is available online and takes $λ$ as input to compute the GK dimension and annihilator variety of $L(λ)$.

Weights and characters for affine Hecke algebras

Weights play an essential role in the classification of simple modules for affine Hecke algebras. In this paper we show the extent to which weights determine simple modules and relate this to induction and restriction along isogenies. We also describe the behaviour of hermitian duals and unitarity under induction and restriction along isogenies.

Categorification of the genus two DAHA

We construct three derived endofunctors on the derived category of graded integrable representations of the current algebra of a flat degeneration of $D(2|1,α)$, and prove that their classes in the Grothendieck group are the genus two Macdonald operators. Computing the graded $\operatorname{Ext}$ pairing explicitly, we deduce the self-adjointness of the genus two Macdonald operators and the orthogonality of genus $2$ Macdonald polynomials with respect to the certain skew-bilinear form.
