On generators and relations for $O_n^\circ(V)$ in higher-level Zhu algebras, Part II

Abstract

We study circle relations in the higher-level Zhu algebra of a vertex operator algebra $V$. For regular vacuum words in homogeneous letters, we prove the termwise correction-residue conjecture of Part I: every correction in the one-sided iterate expansion belongs separately to the finite-length plus subspace. The first correction formed with the left truncated field vanishes identically. Multiplying the diagonal commutator kernel by a power of $1+x$ turns it into a Laurent polynomial. This proves the vanishing and writes every other correction as a finite combination of product residues with fewer $Y_L$ factors, coming from the word obtained by replacing one negative mode by a nonnegative one. These results hold at all levels $n\ge0$, without an auxiliary-degree hypothesis. For $n\ge1$ and a homogeneous ordered pair $(u,v)$, two explicit triangular families span the quadratic residue operators modulo the length-one and singular-iterate relations, giving $\dim\mathcal{Q}_n((u,v))\le n(n+1)$. The universal product-coefficient arrays have dimension exactly $n(n+1)$ and three natural bases; restriction to the regular mode square is an isomorphism. This proves operator spanning and gives invertible matrices for two complementary diagonal eliminations. For equal inputs, mode interchange reduces the families to their odd-indexed members, giving $\dim\mathcal{Q}_n((u,u))\le 2\lfloor (n+1)^2/4\rfloor$. The pairwise estimates give an explicit global quadratic bound for any finite homogeneous strong generating set. Heisenberg, Virasoro, and affine $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ examples illustrate equality and strict inequality in the operator bounds.

Twisted Yangians of split types BI, CI, DI and Drinfeld type current relations

We study twisted Yangians associated with the split symmetric pairs of types BI, CI and DI. We introduce a new presentation of these algebras, which we call the transposed presentation, governed by a twisted reflection equation that interacts naturally with the Gaussian decomposition of the generating matrix. Working entirely within the $R$-matrix presentation, we derive Drinfeld-type current presentations of the special twisted Yangian $SY^{\mathrm{tw}}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ and of the extended twisted Yangian $X^{\mathrm{tw}}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$, in which the Serre relations are stated in a closed current form. Extracting coefficients recovers the Drinfeld presentation of Lu, Wang and Zhang, in the normalisation of Lu. As a consequence, we establish an explicit isomorphism between the $R$-matrix and Drinfeld presentations conjectured by Lu, Wang and Zhang. As a byproduct, we obtain a tensor product decomposition of $X^{\mathrm{tw}}(\mathfrak{g}_N)$ into the twisted Yangian in the Drinfeld presentation and a polynomial ring in countably many central variables. We also obtain Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt bases in the Drinfeld generators and the coideal coproduct on the low Drinfeld modes at all but the last node.

Faithful Localization of Vertex Algebra Modules

We establish a Faithfulness Theorem for vertex algebra modules, showing that two complementary geometric localizations can jointly detect global algebraic structure. We apply this principle to vertex algebras obtained by BRST reduction from classical invariant theory and identify them, under natural geometric hypotheses, with global sections of sheaves of chiral differential operators. As consequences, we prove vanishing of BRST cohomology in nonzero degrees and simplicity, and show that every finitely strongly generated module is a finite direct sum of copies of the vacuum module. In particular, the corresponding module category is equivalent to the category of finite-dimensional vector spaces. For families associated with classical groups, we identify the associated varieties with Hamiltonian reductions, proving quasi-lisse-ness and the predicted identification with Higgs branches of the corresponding supersymmetric gauge theories. This provides geometric realizations of a broad class of vertex algebras arising from three- and four-dimensional quantum field theories.

Duflo--Serganova functor for chiral differential operators on classical invariant rings

We study the Duflo--Serganova functor for vertex algebras of chiral differential operators on classical invariant rings, introduced in \cite{ADS}. Our main result is a general cancellation theorem showing that a common bosonic and fermionic summand can be removed by Duflo--Serganova reduction. We apply this theorem to obtain Duflo--Serganova reduction isomorphisms for two families of simple orthosymplectic affine vertex superalgebras at levels $-2n$ and $n$, which are not covered by the existing results of Gorelik and Serganova. As a consequence, we obtain supercharacter identities, including the conjecture of Adamović and Milas as a special case.
