Descartes Curvature Geometry, Compact-Cycle Amplitudes, and the GST Cabibbo Seed

Abstract

Several apparently distinct formulations of the charged-lepton mass relation $p_2/e_1^2 = 2/3$ share a common algebraic object: the ratio of flavor-breaking to flavor-symmetric amplitude components on an internal family space. We show that (i) the relation expressed as a Fourier-mode constraint on Shulga's compact cycle, (ii) the same relation as a Descartes curvature condition in the sense of Kocik, and (iii) the Soddy completion of the resulting circle configuration are related by exact algebra, with no approximations. The Soddy completion defines a companion scale $F^2 = α^2 μ_\star$ with $α= \sqrt{3/2} - 1$ and $μ_\star = \sum_\ell m_\ell$; identifying this scale with $\bar{m}^{\rm MS}_s(μ_\star)$ yields a light-quark mass cascade with the ratio $m_d/m_s = 5/2 - \sqrt{6}$. Combined with the leading Gatto-Sartori-Tonin relation, this gives the down-sector Cabibbo seed $\sqrt{m_d/m_s} = \sqrt{3/2} - 1 = 0.22474\ldots$, numerically close to the measured $|V_{us}| = 0.22503 \pm 0.00068$ ($0.4σ$). A full CKM evaluation requires the up-sector phase correction, which we defer. The correspondence is testable by future lattice QCD+QED determinations of $m_d/m_s$; explicit failure modes are listed.

Structure of Logarithmically-Corrected Starobinsky Fuzzy Dark Matter Black Holes

This work constructs an anisotropic, Einasto-profile fuzzy dark matter (DM) black hole (BH) using a logarithmically-corrected Starobinsky gravity, $f(R)=R+βR^2+γR^2\ln(R/μ^2)$, a form motivated by one-loop quantum corrections to the gravitational action rather than by the pure quadratic term alone. We derive the generalized trace equation for this action, show that its $β$- and $γ$-dependence collapses to a single compact source term, and solve the resulting field equations perturbatively about an exact general-relativistic (GR) background for two distinct anisotropic equations of state: a de~Sitter-type branch and a non-local branch, the latter worked through to a closed tangential-pressure profile rather than left incomplete. The logarithmic correction is found to raise the extremal (zero-temperature) threshold relative to pure quadratic gravity and to increase the core tangential pressure noticeably in the non-local branch.

Testing Schouten--Codazzi Gravity: Cosmological Constraints and Deviations from $Λ$CDM

Schouten--Codazzi gravity (SCG) admits a cosmological background that extends flat $Λ$CDM by one integration constant, $γ_0$. Its contribution to the Friedmann equation scales as $(1+z)$ and corresponds to an effective component with equation of state $w_{γ_0}=-2/3$. We constrain this extension using 15 combinations of Type~Ia supernovae, DESI~DR2 baryon acoustic oscillations, and compressed cosmic microwave background information, supplemented by a big-bang nucleosynthesis prior as specified in the analysis. Supernovae paired with either BAO or CMB favor positive $Ω_{γ_0}\equivγ_0/H_0^2$, with approximate marginal departures from zero of $1.7$--$3.2σ$. In contrast, all three supernovae$+$BAO$+$CMB combinations are consistent with $Ω_{γ_0}=0$ within their 68\% credible intervals. Their central log Bayes factors favor $Λ$CDM, with $Δ\ln\mathcal{Z}$ between $-2.54$ and $-1.13$, and the inferred Hubble constants remain close to those of the corresponding $Λ$CDM fits. These results provide a background-level test of SCG conditional on the adopted priors and likelihood approximations, particularly the model assumptions entering the CMB compression.

Fluctuations in Aharonov-Bohm Electrodynamics

We consider the application of the Fluctuation Dissipation Theorem (FDT) to the electrodynamics of Aharonov-Bohm (ABE), which differs from Maxwell's in that it allows for local non-conservation of charge. For the case of a system of non-conserved charges at thermal equilibrium we obtain the same spectral distribution of energy of the electromagnetic field as in Maxwell electrodynamics. However, the electric field contribution to that energy doubles that in Maxwell case, while the magnetic contribution is the same as in Maxwell theory, the electric excess energy is compensated by a negative contribution arising form the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) scalar field. For a conductor with local non-conservation of charge described by the $γ$ model, we derive the spectrum of current correlation at first order in $γ$, which results in a violet noise contribution added to the classical Johnson-Nyquist white noise result for the voltage fluctuations in a conductor.
