Gauge Invariance and Confinement in Noncompact Simulations of SU(2)
Abstract
Wilson loops have been measured at strong coupling, $β=0.5$, on a $12^4$ lattice in a noncompact simulation of pure SU(2) in which random compact gauge transformations impose a kind of lattice gauge invariance. The Wilson loops suggest a confining potential.
