Calculating the Critical Temperature for Coleman-Weinberg GUTs
Abstract
We study the finite temperature effective potential of the Higgs scalar in GUTs with Coleman-Weinberg symmetry breaking. The critical temperature is derived without employing a high temperature approximation to the effective potential, and the limitations of such approximations are discussed.
