Dilepton Production in High Luminosity Multi-GeV Electron Scattering
Abstract
We consider the production of a 300GeV dilepton in very intense 4GeV electron scattering off of a lead target. The production cross-section and angular distribution of the resulting muons are calculated. There occur several such events per year, and their detection is rendered feasible by measurement of $e^+μ^-μ^-$ angular correlations.
