Nonexistence of a $ηNN$ quasibound state
Abstract
We have solved the Faddeev equations for $ηd$ elastic scattering using realistic separable interactions for the $NN$ and coupled $ηN$-$πN$ subsystems. We found that including explicitly the pion channel in the integral equations drastically reduces the attraction that is present in the system. As a consequence, the existence of a $ηNN$ quasibound state is excluded by the modern $ηN$ amplitude analysis.
