Effects of massive spin-2 fields on gravitational wave propagation

Massive spin-2 fields in addition to the standard massless graviton arise naturally in extensions of general relativity, such as massive bigravity or models with extra dimensions. This work explores the observational signatures of these fields on the propagation of gravitational waves. Adopting a phenomenological framework consistent with such theories, we derive an analytical transfer function in the ultrarelativistic limit and establish detectability bounds for inspiral sources. Finally, we provide forecasts for the accessible parameter space using current and future gravitational wave detectors.

Sensitivity forecasts for gravitational-wave detectors to dark matter decaying into gravitons

Dark matter may not be perfectly stable, and its decay could generate distinctive gravitational-wave signatures. In this work, we present model-independent predictions for the stochastic gravitational-wave background arising from the decay of ultralight dark matter into gravitons. Within this framework, we forecast the sensitivity reach of current and forthcoming gravitational-wave detectors to such signals.

From loop quantum gravity to cosmology: the two-vertex model

We study the notion of volume and its dynamics in the loop-quantum-gravity truncation known as the two-vertex model. We also show that its U(N)-symmetry reduction provides the old effective dynamics of loop quantum cosmology with an arbitrary perfect barotropic fluid content. A suitable modification of the Poisson bracket structure of the U(N)-symmetric model leads to the loop quantum gravity improved dynamics.
