Gravitational wave signatures and periodic orbits of a charged black hole in a Hernquist dark matter halo

In this work, we study the motion of massive test particles and the gravitational--wave emission associated with periodic trajectories around a magnetically charged black hole immersed in a \textit{Hernquist} dark matter halo. We begin by analyzing the effective potential and the conditions for stable motion, with particular attention to the marginally bound radius and the innermost stable circular orbit. Our results show that the dark matter parameters, namely the halo density and scale radius, enlarge the allowed region and generally shift the relevant characteristic radii and angular momenta toward larger values. In contrast, the magnetic charge partially counterbalances this behavior. We then examine periodic trajectories through the rational number $q$, which characterizes the relation between the azimuthal and radial frequencies, and construct representative zoom--whirl configurations together with their precessing counterparts. Finally, we investigate the imprints of dark matter and magnetic monopole charge on the gravitational--wave polarizations in the extreme mass--ratio regime.

Antisymmetric tensor propagator with spontaneous Lorentz violation

In this work, we study the spontaneous Lorentz symmetry breaking due to an antisymmetric 2-tensor field in Minkowski spacetime. For a smooth quadratic potential, the spectrum of the theory exhibits massless and massive excitations. We show that the equations of motion for the free field obey some constraints which lead to the massive mode be non-propagating at leading order. Besides, there exists a massless mode in the theory which can be identified with the usual Kalb-Ramond field, carrying only one on-shell degree of freedom. The same conclusion holds when one analyses the pole structure of its Feynman propagator. A new complete set of spin-type operators is found, which was the requirement to evaluate the propagator of the Kalb-Ramond field modified by the presence of a nonzero vacuum expectation value responsible for the Lorentz violation.

The relativistic Aharonov-Bohm-Coulomb system with position-dependent mass

In this work, we study the Aharonov-Bohm-Coulomb (ABC) system for a relativistic Dirac particle with position-dependent mass (PDM). To solve our system, we use the left-handed and right-handed projection operators. Next, we explicitly obtain the eigenfunctions and the energy spectrum of the particle. We verify that these eigenfunctions are written in terms of the generalized Laguerre polynomials and the energy spectrum depends on the parameters Z, $Φ_{AB}$ and $κ$. We notice that the parameter $κ$ has the function of increasing the values of the energy levels of the system. In addition, the usual ABC system is recovered when one considers the limit of constant mass ($κ\to{0}$). Moreover, also we note that even in the absence of ABC system ($Z=Φ_{AB}=0$), the particle with PDM still has a discrete energy spectrum.

Thermodynamic properties of an Aharonov-Bohm quantum ring

In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of an Aharonov-Bohm (AB) quantum ring in a heat bath for both relativistic and non-relativistic cases. For accomplishing this, we used the partition function which was obtained numerically using the Euler-Maclaurin formula. In particular, we determined the energy spectra as well as the behavior of the main thermodynamic functions of the canonical ensemble, namely, the Helmholtz free energy, the mean energy, the entropy and the heat capacity. The so-called Dulong-Petit law was verified only for the relativistic case. We noticed that in the low energy regime, the relativistic thermodynamic functions are reduced to the non-relativistic case as well.
