Finite temperature QCD with two flavors of dynamical quarks on 24^3*10 lattice

We present results obtained in QCD with two flavors of non-perturbatively improved Wilson fermions at finite temperature on $16^3 \times 8$ and $24^3 \times 10$ lattices. We determine the transition temperature in the range of quark masses $0.6<m_π/m_ρ<0.8$ at lattice spacing a$\approx$0.1 fm and extrapolate the transition temperature to the continuum and to the chiral limits.

Finite Temperature QCD with Two Flavors of Non-perturbatively Improved Wilson Fermions

We study QCD with two flavors of non-perturbatively improved Wilson fermions at finite temperature on the $16^3 8$ lattice. We determine the transition temperature at lattice spacings as small as $a \sim 0.12$ fm, and study string breaking below the finite temperature transition. We find that the static potential can be fitted by a two-state ansatz, including a string state and a two-meson state. We investigate the role of Abelian monopoles at finite temperature.

Consistent noncommutative quantum gauge theories?

A new noncommutative model invariant with respect to U(1) gauge group is proposed. The model is free of nonintegrable infrared singularities. Its commutative classical limit describes a free scalar field. Generalization to U(N) models is also considered.

Renormalization by enforcing a symmetry

A new renormalization scheme for theories with nontrivial internal symmetry is proposed. The scheme is regularization independent and respects the symmetry requirements.

A practical gauge invariant regularization of the SO(10) grand unified model

It is shown that a simple modification of the dimensional regularization allows to compute in a consistent and gauge invariant way any diagram with less than four loops in the SO(10) unified model. The method applies also to the Standard Model generated by the symmetry breaking $SO(10) \to SU(3)\times SU(2)\times U(1)$. A gauge invariant regularization for arbitrary diagram is also described.

Chiral symmetry in lattice QCD

A chiral invariant effective action for lattice QCD is proposed. Its connection to the multifermion model is established. A possibility of using this action for computer simulations is discussed.

Gluon - W-meson scattering via different renormalization schemes

The one loop gluon - W-meson amplitude is calculated by means of the gauge-invariant generalized Pauli-Villars regularization and with the help of dimensional regularization. It is shown that in the former case the amplitude satisfies Generalized Ward Identities, whereas in the latter case the amplitude differs from the first one by the constant.

Lattice QCD with Exponentially Small Chirality Breaking

A new multifermion formulation of lattice QCD is proposed. The model is free of spectrum doubling and preserves all nonanomalous chiral symmetries up to exponentially small corrections. It is argued that a small number of fermion fields may provide a good approximation making computer simulations feasible.

Nonlocal lattice fermion models on the 2d torus

Abelian fermion models described by the SLAC action are considered on a finite 2d lattice. It is shown that modification of these models by introducing additional Pauli - Villars regularization supresses nonlocal effects and provides agreement with the continuum results in vectorial U(1) models. In the case of chiral fermions the phase of the determinant differs from the continuum one.

Phase of a chiral determinant and global SU(2) anomaly

A representation for the phase of a chiral determinant in terms of a path integral of a local action is constructed. This representation is used to modify the action of chiral SU(2) fermions removing the global anomaly.

Bosonized Formulation of Lattice QCD

Problems in lattice gauge models with fermions are discussed. A new bosonic Hermitean effective action for lattice QCD with dynamical quarks is presented. In distinction of the previous version, it does not include constraints and is better suited for Monte-Carlo simulations.

Improved Algorithm for Bosonized Fermion Determinant

Following the line of \cite{AS} we propose an improved algorithm which allows to calculate a D-dimensional fermion determinant integrating the exponent of D+1 dimensional Hermitean bosonic action. For a finite extra dimension the corrections decrease exponentially.
