Galois symmetries of fundamental groupoids and noncommutative geometry

We define motivic iterated integrals on the affine line, and give a simple proof of the formula for the coproduct in the Hopf algebra of they make. We show that it encodes the group law in the automorphism group of certain non-commutative variety. We relate the coproduct with the coproduct in the Hopf algebra of decorated rooted planar trivalent trees - a planar decorated version of the Hopf algebra defined by Connes and Kreimer. As an application we derive explicit formulas for the coproduct in the motivic multiple polylogarithm Hopf algebra. We give a criteria for a motivic iterated integral to be unramified at a prime ideal, and use it to estimate from above the space spanned by the values of iterated integrals. In chapter 7 we discuss some general principles relating Feynman integrals and mixed motives.

Groupes fondamentaux motiviques de Tate mixte

We define the category of mixed Tate motives over the ring of S-integers of a number field. We define the motivic fundamental group (made unipotent) of a unirational variety over a number field. We apply this to the study of the motivic fundamental group of the projective line punctured at zero, infinity and all N-th roots of unity.

Periods and mixed motives

We define motivic multiple polylogarithms and prove the double shuffle relations for them. We use this to study the motivic fundamental group of the multiplicative group - {N-th roots of unity} and relate it to geometry of modular varieties. In particular we get new information about the actionof the Galois group on the pro-l completion of the above fundamental group. This paper is the second part of "Multiple polylogarithms and mixed Tate motives" math.AG/0103059

Multiple zeta-motives and moduli spaces M_{0,n}

We give a natural construction of unramified over Z framed mixed Tate motives, whose periods are the multiple zeta values. Namely, for each convergent multiple zeta-value we define two boundary divisors A and B in the moduli space M_{0,n+3} of stable curves of genus zero. The corresponding multiple zeta-motive is the n-th cohomology of the pair (M_{0,n+3} -A,B).

Multiple polylogarithms and mixed Tate motives

We develop the theory of multiple polylogarithms from analytic, Hodge and motivic point of view. Define the category of mixed Tate motives over a ring of integers in a number field. Describe explicitly the multiple polylogarithm Hopf algebra.

Grassmannian trilogarithms

Some time ago the first author suggested two different constructions of Grassmannian n-logarithms. One of them works for all n, but its motivic nature is hidden. The other is a motivic but so far available only for n=2,3,4. We derived some general results about the first construction of Grassmannian polylogarithms, and found an explicit relation between the two constructions of the Grassmannian trilogarithms.

Geometry of the trilogarithm and the motivic Lie algebra of a field

We express the Aomoto trilogarithm explicitely via classical trilogarithm and investigate the algebraic-geometric structures behind this: different realuzations of the weight three motivic complexes. Using this results we give an explicit motivic construction of the Grassmannian 4-logarithm and Borel regulator map for K_7(C).

Multiple zeta-values, Galois groups, and geometry of modular varieties

We discuss the following two problems: 1) The properties of the multiple zeta-values and their generalizations, multiple polylogarithms at N-th roots of unity; 2) The action of the absolute Galois group on the pro-l-completion of the fundamental group of the projective line without zero, infinity, and all N-th roots of unity; and a surprising connection of these problems with the geometry and topology of modular varieties for GL_m.

The dihedral Lie algebras and Galois symmetries of π_1^l(P^1 - 0, infinity and N-th roots of unity)

We study the action of the Galois group on the pro-l-completion of the fundamental group of P^1 - {0, infinity and N-th roots of unity}. We describe the Lie algebra of the image of the Galois action and relate with the geometry of the modular varieties for GL_m for m = 1,2,3,... This story is the l-adic side of the motivic theory of multiple polylogarithms at roots of unity, which generalize the classical cyclotomy theory.

Explicit regulator maps on polylogarithmic motivic complexes

We define a regulator map from the weight n polylogarithmic motivic complex to the weight n Deligne complex of an algebraic variety X. The regulator map is constructed explicitly via the classical polylogarithms with some funny combinations of Bernoulli numbers as coefficients. This leads to conjectures on special values of L-functions at s=n which reduce to Zagier's conjecture when X is of dimension zero over Q. The cone of this map, shifted by one, should be called the Arakelov motivic complex of X. Its last cohomology group is identified with a group of codimension n Arakelov cycles on X.

Zagier's conjecture on $L(E,2)$

In this paper we introduce an elliptic analog of the Bloch-Suslin complex and prove that it (essentially) computes the weight two parts of the groups $K_2(E)$ and $K_1(E)$ for an elliptic curve $E$ over an arbitrary field $k$. Combining this with the results of Bloch and Beilinson we proved Zagier's conjecture on $L(E,2)$ for modular elliptic curves over $\Bbb Q$.
