Oscillations of 2D Rashba system spin polarization in quantizing magnetic field

We apply the method of the non-equilibrium statistical operator in order to describe the magneto-electric effect in 2D electron system with the spin-orbit interaction, and find the polarization of spins of the charge carriers in quantizing magnetic field. We show that, in quantizing magnetic field, the oscillations of the spin polarization become "anomalously" large.

Photoconductiviy of 2D Rashba system in the perpendicular AC magnetic field

The response of a 2D electron system to a DC measurement electric field has been investigated in the case when the system is driven out of the equilibrium by the magnetic ultra-high frequency field that leads to combined transitions involving the spin-orbit interaction. It has been shown that the method of non-equilibrium statistical operator in conjunction ith the method of canonical transformations allows one to build a theory of linear response of a non-equilibrium 2D electron gas to a weak "measurement" DC electric field. The proposed theory predicts that such perturbation of the electron system with high (~10^7 cm^2/Vs) mobility leads to a new type of 2D electron gas conductivity oscillations controlled by the ratio of the radiation frequency to the cyclotron frequency.

2D Rashba system in AC magnetic field

The response of an electron system to a DC measurement electric field has been investigated in the case when the system is driven out of the equilibrium by the magnetic ultra-high frequency field that leads to combined transitions. The discussed model includes contributions from Landau quantization and from microwave irradiation. Impurity centers are considered as sources of scattering. It has been shown that the perturbation of the electron system by the ultra-high frequency magnetic field leads to oscillations of the diagonal components of the conductivity tensor.

Kinetics of 2D electrons in the magnetic field in the presence of microwave radiation. Response of a non-equilibrium system to a weak measurement field

Kinetics of spatially uniform distribution of 2D electrons in crossed electric and magnetic fields in the presence of microwave radiation has been studied. In the present model the contribution from the microwave radiation and the effects of Landau quantization are considered exactly, while scattering is treated perturbatively. Here Landau--Floquet states interact with the impurity potential that causes transitions between them. The linear response of a non-equilibrium system to a weak measurement field has been considered for the case when the non-equilibrium state of the carriers can be described by the average values of the total energy and the number of particles.

Oscillations of 2DEG thermoelectric coefficients in magnetic field under microwave irradiation

It is known that under microwave irradiation, in 2D electron systems with high filling factors oscillations of longitudinal magnetoresistance appear in the range of magnetic fields where ordinary SdH oscillations are suppressed. In the present paper we propose a simple quasiclassical model of these new oscillations based on the Boltzmann kinetic equation. Our model also predicts similar oscillations in diffusion component of thermoelectric coefficients, which should be observable at low temperatures.

Oscillations of magnetoresistance of 2DEG in a weak magnetic field under microwave irradiation

Under microwave irradiation, in 2D electron systems with high filling factors oscillations of longitudinal magnetoresistance appear in the range of magnetic fields where ordinary SdH oscillations are suppressed. An unusual beat-like behaviour of these oscillations in weak magnetic fields (B < 0.02 T) was attributed to the zero spin splitting previously. We propose an alternate explanation of this beat-like structure on the basis of the Boltzmann kinetic equation, without any reference to the spin-orbit interaction.
