Laplace-Runge-Lenz vector for arbitrary spin

A countable set of superintegrable quantum mechanical systems is presented which admit the dynamical symmetry with respect to algebra so(4). This algebra is generated by the Laplace-Runge-Lenz vector generalized to the case of arbitrary spin. The presented systems describe neutral particles with non-trivial multipole momenta. Their spectra can be found algebraically like in the case of Hydrogen atom. Solutions for the systems with spins 1/2 and 1 are presented explicitly, solutions for spin 3/2 are expressed via solutions of an ordinary differential equation of first order..

Matrix superpotentials and superintegrable systems for arbitrary spin

A countable set of quantum superintegrable systems for arbitrary spin is solved explicitly using tools of supersymmetric quantum mechanics. It is shown that these systems (introduced by Pronko, J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 40 (2007) ) include matrix shape invariant potentials classified recently in A. G. Nikitin and Y. Karadzhov, J. Phys. A: 44 (2011) 305204; J. Phys. A: 44 (2011) 445202.

Superintegrable systems with spin invariant with respect to the rotation group

Quantum nonrelativistic systems with $2\times2$ matrix potentials are investigated. Physically, they simulate charged or neutral fermions with non-trivial dipole momenta, interacting with an external electric field. Assuming rotationally invariance of the Hamiltonian all such systems allowing second order integrals of motion are identified. It is shown that the integrals of motion can be effectively used to separate variables and to reduce the systems to decoupled ordinary differential equations. Solutions for two of the discussed problems are presented explicitly.

Integrability and supersymmetry of Schroedinger-Pauli equations for neutral particles

Integrable quantum mechanical systems for neutral particles with spin $\frac12$ and nontrivial dipole momentum are classified. It is demonstrated that such systems give rise to new exactly solvable problems of quantum mechanics with clear physical content. Solutions for three of them are given in explicit form. The related symmetry algebras and superalgebras are discussed. The presented classification is restricted to two-dimensional systems which admit matrix integrals of motion linear in momenta.

New exactly solvable systems with Fock symmetry

New superintegrable systems are presented which, like the Hydrogen atom, possess a dynamical symmetry w.r.t. algebra o(4). One of them simulates a neutral fermion with non-trivial dipole moment, interacting with the external e.m. field. This system is presented in both non-relativistic and relativistic formulations. Another recently discovered system (see arXiv:1208.2886v1) is non-relativistic and includes the minimal and spin-orbit interaction with the external electric field. It is shown that all the considered systems are shape invariant. Applying this quality, these systems are integrated using the tools of SUSY quantum mechanics.

Invariant solutions for equations of axion electrodynamics

Using the three-dimensional subalgebras of the Lie algebra of Poincaré group an extended class of exact solutions for the field equations of the axion electrodynamics is obtained. These solutions include arbitrary parameters and arbitrary functions as well. The most general solutions include six arbitrary functions. Among them there are bound and square integrable solutions which propagate faster than light. However, their energy velocities are smaller than the velocity of light.

Symmetries and solutions of field equations of axion electrodynamics

The group classification of models of axion electrodynamics with arbitrary self interaction of axionic field is carried out. It is shown that extensions of the basic Poincaré invariance of these models appear only for constant and exponential interactions. The related conservation laws are discussed. Using the Inönü-Wigner contraction the non-relativistic limit of equations of axion electrodynamics is found. An extended class of exact solutions for the electromagnetic and axion fields is obtained. Among them there are solutions including up to six arbitrary functions. In particular, solutions which describe propagation with velocities faster than the velocity of light are found. These solutions are smooth and bounded functions which correspond to positive definite and bounded energy density.

New exactly solvable relativistic models with anomalous interaction

A special class of Dirac-Pauli equations with time-like vector potentials of external field is investigated. A new exactly solvable relativistic model describing anomalous interaction of a neutral Dirac fermion with a cylindrically symmetric external e.m. field is presented. The related external field is a superposition of the electric field generated by a charged infinite filament and the magnetic field generated by a straight line current. In non-relativistic approximation the considered model is reduced to the integrable Pron'ko-Stroganov model.

Matrix superpotentials

We present a collection of matrix valued shape invariant potentials which give rise to new exactly solvable problems of SUSY quantum mechanics. It includes all irreducible matrix superpotentials of the generic form $W=kQ+\frac1k R+P$ where $k$ is a variable parameter, $Q$ is the unit matrix multiplied by a real valued function of independent variable $x$, and $P$, $R$ are hermitian matrices depending on $x$. In particular we recover the Pron'ko-Stroganov "matrix Coulomb potential" and all known scalar shape invariant potentials of SUSY quantum mechanics. In addition, five new shape invariant potentials are presented. Three of them admit a dual shape invariance, i.e., the related hamiltonians can be factorized using two non-equivalent superpotentials. We find discrete spectrum and eigenvectors for the corresponding Schroedinger equations and prove that these eigenvectors are normalizable.

Galilean equations for massless fields

Galilei-invariant equations for massless fields are obtained via contractions of relativistic wave equations. It is shown that the collection of non-equivalent Galilei-invariant wave equations for massless fields with spin equal 1 and 0 is very reach and corresponds to various contractions of the representations of the Lorentz group to those of the Galilei one. It describes many physically consistent systems, e.g., those of electromagnetic fields in various media or Galilean Chern-Simon models. Finally, classification of all linear and a big group of non-linear Galilei-invariant equations for massless fields is presented.

Galilei-invariant equations for massive fields

Galilei-invariant equations for massive fields with various spins have been found and classified. They have been derived directly, i.e., by using requirement of the Galilei invariance and various facts on representations of the Galilei group deduced in the paper written by de Montigny M, Niederle J and Nikitin A G, J. Phys. A \textbf{39}, 1-21, 2006. A completed list of non-equivalent Galilei-invariant wave equations for vector and scalar fields is presented. It shows two things. First that the collection of such equations is very broad and describes many physically consistent systems. In particular it is possible to describe spin-orbit and Darwin couplings in frames of Galilei-invariant approach. Second, these Galilei-invariant equations can be obtained either via contraction of known relativistic equations or via contractions of quite new relativistic wave equations.

Symmetries and modelling functions for diffusion processes

A constructive approach to theory of diffusion processes is proposed, which is based on application of both the symmetry analysis and method of modelling functions. An algorithm for construction of the modelling functions is suggested. This algorithm is based on the error functions expansion (ERFEX) of experimental concentration profiles. The high-accuracy analytical description of the profiles provided by ERFEX approximation allows a convenient extraction of the concentration dependence of diffusivity from experimental data and prediction of the diffusion process. Our analysis is exemplified by its employment to experimental results obtained for surface diffusion of lithium on the molybdenum (112) surface pre-covered with dysprosium. The ERFEX approximation can be directly extended to many other diffusion systems.

Galilei invariant theories. III. Wave equations for massless fields

Galilei invariant equations for massless fields are obtained via contractions of relativistic wave equations. It is shown that the collection of non-equivalent Galilei-invariant wave equations for massless fields with spin equal 1 and 0 is very broad and describes many physically consistent systems. Galilei invariant theories. I. Constructions of indecomposable finite-dimensional representations of the homogeneous Galilei group: directly and via contractions

All indecomposable finite-dimensional representations of the homogeneous Galilei group which when restricted to the rotation subgroup are decomposed to spin 0, 1/2 and 1 representations are constructed and classified. These representations are also obtained via contractions of the corresponding representations of the Lorentz group. Finally the obtained representations are used to derive a general Pauli anomalous interaction term and Darwin and spin-orbit couplings of a Galilean particle interacting with an external electric field.

On supersymmetries in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics

One-dimensional nonrelativistic systems are studied when time-independent potential interactions are involved. Their supersymmetries are determined and their closed subsets generating kinematical invariance Lie superalgebras are pointed out. The study of even supersymmetries is particularly enlightened through the already known symmetries of the corresponding Schrödinger equation. Three tables collect the even, odd, and total supersymmetries as well as the invariance (super)algebras.
