Quark mass dependence of the $T_{cc}(3875)^+$ pole

Recently, several LQCD simulations have proven that the interaction in the isoscalar channel in $DD^*$ scattering is attractive. This channel is naturally connected to the $T_{cc}(3875)^+$ which is observed in the $D^0D^0π^+$ invariant mass distribution. However, it remains an open question whether the virtual bound state found in the several LQCD simulations is actually linked to the LHCb experimental observation. In this article we perform an EFT-based analysis of the LQCD data and demostrate that a proper chiral extrapolation leads to a $T_{cc}$ pole compatible with experiment. At the physical pion mass, we find a virtual bound state with a binding energy $ΔE=-0.06 \left(^{+1.30}_{-2.20}\right) \left(^{+0.50}_{-1.11}\right)$. Moreover, we extract from a global analysis both, the light and heavy quark mass dependence of the $T_{cc}$ pole, and study the role of the $ρ$ and $π$ meson exchanges.

Decay widths and mass spectra of single bottom baryons

We develop a Hamiltonian model that incorporates the spin, spin-orbit, and isospin interactions to determine the masses of the ground states of single-bottom baryons and their excitations up to the $D$-wave. Furthermore, we calculate the strong decay widths of single-bottom baryons using the $^3P_0$ model. Our calculations consider final states comprising bottom baryon-(vector/pseudoscalar) meson pairs and (octet/decuplet) baryon-(pseudoscalar/vector) bottom meson pairs within a constituent quark model. In that respect, this is the most complete investigation which has ever been performed in the single bottom baryon sector so far. Additionally, we compute the electromagnetic decay widths from $P$-wave states to ground states. The electromagnetic decays become dominant in cases where the strong decays are suppressed. The experimental uncertainties are propagated to the model parameters using a Monte Carlo bootstrap method. Our quantum number assignments, as well as our mass and strong decay width predictions, are in reasonable agreement with the available data. We also provide the partial decay widths for each open flavor channel. Our predictions of mass spectra and decay widths provide valuable information for the experiments seeking to identify new bottom baryons and knowledge of possible decay channels can aid in their identification in the data. Therefore, our results will be able to guide future searches for the undiscovered single bottom baryons at LHCb, ATLAS, and CMS.

Strong decay widths and mass spectra of charmed baryons

The total decay widths of the charmed baryons are calculated by means of the $^3P_0$ model. Our calculations consider in the final states: the charmed baryon-(vector/pseudoscalar) meson pairs and the (octet/ decuplet) baryon-(pseudoscalar/vector) charmed meson pairs, within a constituent quark model. Furthermore, we calculate the masses of the charmed baryon ground states and their excitations up to the $D$-wave in a constituent quark model both in the three-quark and in the quark-diquark schemes, utilizing a Hamiltonian model based on a harmonic oscillator potential plus a mass splitting term that encodes the spin, \mbox{spin-orbit}, isospin, and flavor interactions. The parameters of the Hamiltonian model are fitted to the experimental data of the charmed baryon masses and decay widths. As the experimental uncertainties of the data affect the fitted model parameters, we have thoroughly propagated these uncertainties into our predicted charmed baryon masses and decay widths via a Monte Carlo bootstrap approach, which is often absent in other theoretical studies on this subject. Our quantum number assignments and predictions of the masses and strong partial decay widths are in reasonable agreement with the available data. Thus, our results show the ability to guide future measurements in LHCb, Belle and Belle II experiments. Finally, the appendices provide some details of our calculations, in which we include the flavor coupling coefficients, which are useful for further theoretical investigations.

A study of $c c\bar{c}\bar{c}$ tetraquark decays in 4 muons and in $D^{(*)} \bar{D}^{(*)}$ at LHC

We perform a quantitative analysis of the decays of $cc\bar c\bar c$ tetraquarks with $J^{PC}=0^{++}, 2^{++}$ into 4 muons and into hidden- and open-charm mesons and estimate, for the first time, the fully charmed tetraquark decay width. The calculated cross section upper limit is $\sim 40$ fb for the 4 muons channel, and $\sim 28$ nb for the $D^{(*)} \bar D^{(*)} \to eμ$ channel. On the basis of our results, with the present sensitivity LHCb should detect both signals, for $0^{++}$ and $2^{++}$ fully-charmed tetraquarks.

Heavy $Ω_c$ and $Ω_b$ baryons in the quark model

In this contribution, we present a study of ground- and excited-state $Ω_c$ and $Ω_b$ baryons consisting of two strange quarks and a heavy charm or bottom quark. An analysis in the quark model shows that the recently observed excited $Ω_c$ and $Ω_b$ states can be interpreted in terms of $λ$-mode excitations.

Search for $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark decays in 4 muons, $B^{+} B^{-}$, $B^0 \bar{B}^0$ and $B_s^0 \bar{B}_s^0$ channels at LHC

We perform a quantitative analysis of the $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark decays into hidden- and open-bottom mesons and calculate, for the first time, the $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark total decay width. On the basis of our results, we propose the $bb\bar{b}\bar{b} \to B^{+} B^{-} (B^0 \bar{B}^0) (B_s^0 \bar{B}_s^0) \to l^{+} l^{-}+\text{X}$ decays as the most suitable channels to observe the $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark states, since the calculated two-lepton cross section upper limit, $\simeq 39 $ fb, is so large as to be potentially detectable with the 2018 LHCb sensitivity, paving the way to the observation of the $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$ tetraquark in the future LHCb upgrade. The $4μ$ signal for the ground state, $J^{PC}=0^{++}$, is likely to be too small even for the upgraded LHCb, but it may not be hopeless for the $J^{PC}=2^{++}$ fully-bottom state.

The $Ω_{c}$-puzzle solved by means of spectrum and strong decay amplitude predictions

The observation of new $Ω_{c}=ssc$ states by LHCb \cite{Aaij:2017nav} and the confirmation of four of them by Belle \cite{Yelton:2017qxg} may represent an important milestone in our understanding of the quark organization inside hadrons. By providing results for the spectrum of $Ω_{c(b)}$ baryons and predictions for their $Ξ_{c(b)}^{+}K^{-}$ decay channels, we suggest a possible solution to the $Ω_{c}$ quantum number puzzle. We also discuss why the set of $Ω_{c(b)}$ baryons are the most suitable environment to test the validity of three-quark and quark-diquark effective degrees of freedom. Finally, we calculate the masses and the partial decay widths of the $Ξ_b(6227)$ and $Σ_b(6097)$ states, just observed by LHCb \cite{Aaij:2018yqz,Aaij:2018tnn}. Our results are in good agreement with LHCb experimental data.
