One-Loop Renormalization of Spin-$1/2$ SOPHIES

In this paper, three formulations of spin-$1/2$ Second-Order Pseudo-Hermitian quantum field theorIES (SOPHIES) are built from scratch from parity eigenstates. Pseudo-Hermiticity allows the unconstrained fields to satisfy either Fermi--Dirac or Bose--Einstein statistics, while self-conjugate Majorana-like fields are only compatible with Fermi--Dirac. The set of independent four dimension renormalizable self-interactions of the three theories are identified, and the one-loop renormalization of the unconstrained fermionic and bosonic theories coupled to an abelian gauge boson and enhanced with a Pauli term and including self-interactions is studied, together with the one-loop renormalization of the only independent quartic self-interaction of self-conjugate fields. The analysis leads to a rich set of Renormalization Group Equations with deep connections to known theories, like the Dirac formalism and the Klein--Gordon scalar through the fixed points of the Pauli coupling.

Production of the top partner $T$ of the Bestest Little Higgs Model at the future muon collider

In this work, we evaluate the decay widths and branching ratios of the heavy top partner $T$, and perform a comprehensive phenomenological study of its pair and associated production at a muon collider within the framework of the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM). The BLHM provides an attractive and natural mechanism for addressing the fine-tuning problem in the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. In our study of the top partner $T$, we consider the production processes $μ^{+} μ^{-} \to (γ, Z, Z', h, H) \to T \bar{T}$ and $μ^{+} μ^{-} \to (γ, Z, Z', h, H)\to \bar{t}T+ t \bar{T}$, and we explore different center-of-mass energies of the muon collider to perform our numerical analysis of the production cross sections for the processes of interest. Our results show that pair production is the most promising channel for probing the top partner of the BLHM at a future muon collider.

Search for pseudoscalar Higgs boson $A_0$ of the Bestest Little Higgs model at the LHC and FCC-hh

We analyse the sensitivity of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the Future Circular Collider-hadron-hadron (FCC-hh) to the existence of pseudoscalar Higgs boson $A_0$ predicted by the Bestest Little Higgs model. We study the tree-level (two and three body) and one-loop decays of the pseudoscalar, $A_0 \to b\bar b, t \bar t, γt\bar t, γb \bar b, Zt\bar t, Zb \bar b, Wt\bar b, h_0 t \bar t, h_0 b \bar b$, and $A_0 \to γγ, γZ, ZZ, gg, WW$, respectively. In addition, we perform a phenomenological study of the production of the pseudoscalar $A_0$ via gluon fusion $gg \to A_0 \to Y$ processes, where $Y \equiv γγ, γZ, ZZ, gg, WW$. From the cross section of the processes of interest and the expected integrated luminosity of the LHC and FCC-hh, we determined the number of events that could be produced in both colliders.

The future muon collider for the research of the anomalous neutral quartic $Zγγγ$, $ZZγγ$, and $ZZZγ$ couplings

In the post-LHC era, the muon collider represents a frontier project capable of providing high-energy and high-luminosity leptonic collisions among future lepton-lepton particle accelerators. In addition, it provides significantly cleaner final states than those produced in hadron collisions. With this expectation in mind, in this article, we research the sensitivity of the anomalous neutral gauge boson couplings $Zγγγ$, $ZZγγ$, and $ZZZγ$ defined by dimension-8 operators, through the $μ^+μ^- \to μ^+μ^-Zγ$ signal, with the $Z$-boson decaying to a neutrino pair. The projections at the future muon collider with a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=10$ TeV, integrated luminosity of ${\cal L}=10$ $\rm ab^{-1}$, and systematic uncertainties of $δ_{sys}=0\%, 3\%, 5\%$, give an expected sensitivity on the anomalous $f_ {T,j}/Λ^4$ couplings at $95\%$ confidence level of the order of ${\cal O}(10^{-3}- 10^{-1})$ $\rm TeV^{-4}$. Compared with the research of the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations on the anomalous quartic gauge couplings, we find that the high-luminosity future muon collider could have better sensitivity.

The new $Z'$ boson of the Bestest Little Higgs Model as a portal to signatures of Higgs bosons $h_0$ and $H_0$ at the future muon collider

We study the new $Z'$ boson as a portal for the production of Higgs bosons $h_0$ and $H_0$ predicted by the Bestest Little Higgs Model through the Higgs-strahlung processes $μ^+μ^- \to (Z, Z') \to Zh_0, ZH_0$. We focus on the resonance and non-resonance effects of the $Zh_0, ZH_0$ signals. In our analysis, we consider the center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=3, 4, 6, 10, 30$ TeV and integrated luminosities of ${\cal L}=2, 4, 6, 10, 30$ ${\rm ab^{-1}}$ projected for a future muon collider. The possibility of performing precision measurements for the Higgs bosons $h_0$ and $H_0$ is very promising at the future muon collider. Furthermore, our results may be helpful to the High Energy Physics community. Complementarily, we generate and provide the Feynman rules necessary for studying the processes $μ^+μ^- \to (Z, Z') \to Zh_0, ZH_0$.

New physics search with the new gauge boson $Z'$ of the bestest little Higgs model at the muon collider

The Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) has attracted increasing attention in recent years, mainly because it can explain the hierarchy problem without fine-tuning by introducing one-loop corrections to the Higgs boson mass through heavy top quark partners and heavy gauge bosons. In the context of this new model, we exhaustively investigated the impact of the BLHM parameters on the Higgs-strahlung production processes $μ^{-} μ^{+} \to Z'h_0$ and $μ^{-} μ^{+} \to Z'H_0$, where $Z'$ and $H_0$ represent a new heavy gauge boson and a new heavy Higgs boson, respectively. We consider the integrated luminosities of ${\cal L}=2000, 20 000$ ${\rm fb^{-1}}$ and the respective center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=3000, 10 000$ GeV projected for a future muon collider to estimate the number of expected Higgs boson production events $h_0$ or $H_0$ in association with a new gauge boson $Z'$ at the muon collider. In addition, we derive and present the Feynman rules for scalars ($h_0, H_0, ϕ^{0}, η^{0}, σ, H^{\pm}, ϕ^{\pm}, η^{\pm}, A_0$) and include the self-interactions of Higgs bosons.

Exotic and physics-informed support vector machines for high energy physics

In this article, we explore machine learning techniques using support vector machines with two novel approaches: exotic and physics-informed support vector machines. Exotic support vector machines employ unconventional techniques such as genetic algorithms and boosting. Physics-informed support vector machines integrate the physics dynamics of a given high-energy physics process in a straightforward manner. The goal is to efficiently distinguish signal and background events in high-energy physics collision data. To test our algorithms, we perform computational experiments with simulated Drell-Yan events in proton-proton collisions. Our results highlight the superiority of the physics-informed support vector machines, emphasizing their potential in high-energy physics and promoting the inclusion of physics information in machine learning algorithms for future research.

Probing the heavy Higgs boson production and decay $H_0$ of the Bestest Little Higgs Model at the LHC and the FCC-hh

In the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) scenario, we analyze the branching ratios and production cross-section of the heavy Higgs boson $H_0$. The analysis is performed at the tree level and the one-loop level. In addition, we present results of the possible production of the heavy Higgs boson $H_0$ via gluon fusion for the center-of-mass energies and the integrated luminosities of the LHC, HE-LHC, HL-LHC, and FCC-hh. Our results show a very optimistic scenario for studying the $H_0$ scalar predicted by the BLHM and for the energies and luminosities of current and future hadron colliders.

Expected sensitivity on the anomalous quartic neutral gauge couplings in $γγ$ collisions at the CLIC

The presence of multi-boson self-interactions is implied by the non-Abelian gauge structure of the Standard Model (SM). Precise measurements of these interactions allow not only testing the nature of the SM but also new physics contribution arising from the beyond SM. The investigation of these interactions can be approached in a model-independent manner using an effective theory approach, which forms the main motivation of this study. In this paper, we examine the anomalous neutral quartic gauge couplings through the process $γγ\rightarrow Z Z$ at the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) with the center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=3$ TeV, integrated luminosities of ${\cal L}=5$ $\rm ab^{-1}$. The anomalous neutral quartic gauge couplings is implemented into FeynRules to generate a UFO module inserted into Madgraph to generate both background and signal events. These events are then passed through Pythia 8 for parton showering and Delphes to include realistic detector effects. We obtain that the sensitivities on the anomalous quartic neutral gauge couplings with $95\%$ Confidence Level are given as: $f_{T0}/Λ^{4}=[-1.06; 1.08]\times 10^{-3}$ ${\rm TeV^{-4}}$, $f_{T1}/Λ^{4}=[-1.06; 1.08]\times 10^{-3}$ ${\rm TeV^{-4}}$,$f_{T2}/Λ^{4}=[-1.06; 1.08]\times 10^{-3}$ ${\rm TeV^{-4}}$,$f_{T0}/Λ^{4}=[-1.06; 1.08]\times 10^{-3}$ ${\rm TeV^{-4}}$, $f_{T5}/Λ^{4}=[-4.08; 4.08]\times 10^{-4}$ ${\rm TeV^{-4}}$ and $f_{T8}/Λ^{4}=[-1.10; 1.10]\times10^{-4}$ ${\rm TeV^{-4}}$. Our results on the anomalous quartic neutral gauge couplings are set more stringent sensitivity with respect to the recent experimental limits.

Flavor-changing top quark rare decays in the Bestest Little Higgs Model

This paper investigates the effects of parameters in the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) on rare flavor-changing decays of the top quark. As a result, flavor-changing phenomena are introduced in the BLHM for the first time. In this study, we incorporate new flavor mixing terms between the light quarks of the Standard Model (SM) and the fermions and bosons of the BLHM. We compute the one-loop contributions from the heavy quark $(B)$ and the heavy bosons $(W^{\prime\pm}, ϕ^{\pm}, η^{\pm},H^{\pm})$. Our findings demonstrate that the branching ratios of decays $t\to qV$ and $t\to qh^0$, where $q=u,c$ and $V=Z, γ, g $, exhibit improvements compared to their counterparts in the SM, except for the gluon case. Moreover, we observe that the processes with higher sensitivity are $Br(t\to cZ)\sim 10^{-5}$, $Br(t\to cγ)\sim 10^{-6}$ and $Br(t \to ch^0) \sim 10^{-8}$ within the appropriate parameter space.

Study of the projected sensitivity on the anomalous quartic gauge couplings via $Zγγ$ production at the CLIC

Gauge boson self-couplings are completely defined by the non-Abelian gauge symmetry of the Standard Model (SM). For this reason, a direct search for these couplings is extremely significant in understanding the gauge structure of the SM. The possible deviation from the SM predictions of gauge boson self-couplings would be a sign of the presence of new physics beyond the SM. In this work, we study the sensitivities on the anomalous couplings defined by dimension-8 operators related to the $ZZγγ$ and $Zγγγ$ quartic vertices through the process $e^+e^- \to Zγγ$ with Z-boson decaying to charged leptons at the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC). We analyze the center-of-mass energy of 3 TeV, integrated luminosities of ${\cal L}=1, 4, 5$ $\rm ab^{-1}$, systematic uncertainties of $δ_{sys}=0\%, 3\%, 5\%$, unpolarized and polarized electron beams and considering the Initial State Radiation and Beamstrahlung effects for extraction of expected sensitivity on the anomalous $f_ {T,j}/Λ^4$ couplings at $95\%$ confidence level, which are especially sensitive to the $Zγγ$ channel. It is clear from the results that we expect better limits on the couplings if the systematic error is improved. The best limits obtained on the anomalous quartic couplings for the process $e^+e^- \to Zγγ$ with $\sqrt{s}= 3$ TeV, ${\cal L}=5$ $\rm ab^{-1}$, and $δ_{sys}=0\%$ can be approximately improved up to about 1.1 times better than the limits obtained with $δ_{sys}=5\%$. Our sensitivities on the anomalous quartic couplings can set more stringent sensitivity by two orders of magnitude concerning the best sensitivity derived from the current experimental limits. Finally, with initial electron beam polarization, the sensitivity of the anomalous quartic couplings improves by almost a factor of 1.2.

Searching the anomalous electromagnetic and weak dipole moments of the top-quark at the Bestest Little Higgs Model

In this paper, using a Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) approach, we obtain bounds on the top-quark electromagnetic and weak dipole moments. These physical observables are sensitive to quantum corrections induced by virtual particles at the one-loop level. The contributions of the virtual particles are obtained from the vertices of scalar bosons, vector bosons, and heavy quarks: $tq_iS_i$, $S_i=h_0, H_0, A_0, ϕ^{0}, η^{0}, σ, H^{\pm}, ϕ^{\pm}, η^{\pm}$; $tq_iV_i$, $V_i= γ, Z, W, Z', W'$; $V q_i\bar q_i$, $V=γ,Z$, $q_i=b, t, B, T, T_5, T_6, T^{2/3}, T^{5/3}$; $ V W^{-}_{i}Φ^{+}_i $, $W_{i} \equiv W, W'$, $Φ^{\pm}_{i}= ϕ^{\pm}, η^{\pm}$; $ZZH_i$, $H_i=h_0, H_0$; $ZZ' H_i$; and $VW'W'$. With these new contributions, we evaluated the electroweak dipole moments $ a_t$, $ a^{W}_t $, $ d_t $ and $ d^{W}_{t} $ of the top-quark in the diagonalization schemes $y_2 > y_3$ and $y_2 < y_3$ to the Yukawa couplings. For the BLHM parameters, we choose the following values of $m_{A_0}= 1000$ GeV, $m_{η^0}= 100$ GeV, $f=[1000, 3000]$ GeV, $F=[3000, 6000]$ GeV and $\tanβ=3$, which give the best sensitivity on the electroweak dipole moments of the top-quark in this context: $a_t=1.39 \times 10^{-4} + i\, 6.55 \times 10^{-5}$; $a^{W}_t=6.31 \times 10^{-5} - i\, 1.39 \times 10^{-5}$ for the $y_2 > y_3 $ scenario, while $a_t= 2.12 \times 10^{-4} + i\, 4.49 \times 10^{-5}$; $a^{W}_t= 2.13 \times 10^{-4} - i\, 1.34 \times 10^{-5}$ for the $y_2 < y_3 $ scenario.

Future projections on the anomalous $WWγγ$ couplings in hadron-hadron interactions at the FCC-hh

We carry out a study in the approach of a dimension-8 effective field theory on the anomalous quartic $WWγγ$ couplings that arise from the process $pp \to Wγγ$ at the Future Circular Collider-hadron hadron (FCC-hh). The process is sensitive to the $WWγγ$ vertex, and future projections on the anomalous $f_ {M,i}/Λ^4$ and $ f_ {T,j}/Λ^4$ couplings can be put by measurements of $Wγγ$ production. We illustrate the physics opportunities and reach of the FCC-hh operating for a high integrated luminosity scenario of ${\cal L}=1, 5, 10, 30$ ${\rm ab}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=100$ TeV and systematic uncertainties of $δ_{sys}=0\%, 3\%, 5\%, 10\%$. Production cross-sections of the signal and the sensitivity constraints on the anomalous $f_ {M,i}/Λ^4$ and $ f_ {T,j}/Λ^4$ couplings at $95\%$ C.L. are identified through the leptonic and hadronic decay modes of the $W$-boson. The FCC-hh sensitivity on these anomalous couplings is expected might reach up to the order of magnitude ${\cal O}(10^{-4}-10^1)$. These sensitivity perspectives indicate that the $pp \to Wγγ$ channel at the FCC-hh has a greater potential to search for the anomalous quartic $WWγγ$ couplings and to search for new physics than present colliders.

Research on the electromagnetic and weak dipole moments of the tau-lepton at the Bestest Little Higgs Model

In this paper, using the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) we calculate at the one-loop level the contributions to the Anomalous Magnetic Dipole Moment (AMDM) and Anomalous Weak Magnetic Dipole Moment (AWMDM) of the tau-lepton. The implications from this model are study, emphasizing the contributions of the new physics induced by the new scalar and vector bosons of the BLHM: $S_i=H_0, A_0, ϕ^{0}, η^{0}, σ, H^{\pm}, ϕ^{\pm}, η^{\pm}$, and $V_i=Z', W'$, because these quantify the new physics. With these new contributions we estimated bounds on both the real and imaginary parts of the AMDM and AWMDM of the tau-lepton. Our study complements other one-loop level research performed on models beyond the Standard Model.

Sensitivity limits on the weak dipole moments of the top-quark at the Bestest Little Higgs Model

We presented new researches for the sensitivity limits on the weak dipole moments of the top quark-$Z$ boson interactions in the context of the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM). For this purpose, we derive the corresponding Feynman rules. Among the new contributions, there are those arising from the vertices of scalar bosons, vector bosons and heavy quarks contribution: $tq_iS_i$, ($S_i=h_0, H_0, A_0, ϕ^{0}, η^{0}, σ, H^{\pm}, ϕ^{\pm}, η^{\pm}$); $tq_iV_i$, ($V_i= γ, Z, W, Z', W'$); and $Zq_i\bar q_i$ ($q_i=b, t, B, T, T_5, T_6, T^{2/3}, T^{5/3}$). With these new vertices, we calculate the one-loop contributions to the weak dipole moments $a^W_t$ and $d^W_t$ of the top-quark in several scenarios. We found that with the parameters of the BLHM of $m_{A_0}= 1000$ GeV, $m_{η^0}= 100$ GeV, $F=4000$ GeV, $f=[1000, 3000]$ GeV and $\tanβ=3$, the $a^W_t$ reaches values with a sensitivity of $a^{W}_{t}= 2.49 \times 10^{-4}-1.26 \times 10^{-5}i$, $1.26 \times 10^{-4}-5.41\times 10^{-6}i$, where the main contribution comes from the scalars $h_0$ and $H_0$, which couples to the top-quark of the Standard Model and the top-quarks of the BLHM. These values seem to be out of the reach of the expected experimental sensitivity of present experiments. However, experiments on future colliders are expected to be sensitive enough to measure the AWMDM of the top-quark. Our study complements other studies at the level of one-loop with an extended scalar sector.

Study on the anomalous quartic $W^+W^-γγ$ couplings of electroweak bosons in $e^-p$ collisions at the LHeC and the FCC-he

In this paper, a study is carried out on the $e^-p \to e^-γ^* p \to p W^+γν_e$ production to probe quartic $W^+W^-γγ$ couplings using 10, 100 ${\rm fb^{-1}}$ of $e^-p$ collisions data at $\sqrt{s}$= 1.30, 1.98 GeV at the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) and 100, 1000 ${\rm fb^{-1}}$ with $\sqrt{s}$= 3.46, 5.29 GeV at the Future Circular Collider-hadron electron (FCC-he). Production cross-sections are determined for both at leptonic and hadronic decay channel of the $W$-boson. With the data from future $e^-p$ colliders, it is possible to obtain sensitivity measures at $95\%$ C.L. on the anomalous $f_ {M,i}/Λ^4$ and $ f_ {T,i}/Λ^4$ couplings which are competitive with the limits obtained by the LHC, as well as with others limits reported in the literature. The production mode $e^-p \to e^-γ^* p \to p W^+γν_e $ in $e^-p$ collisions offers a window for study the quartic $W^+W^-γγ$ electroweak bosons couplings at the LHeC and the FCC-he, which provides a much cleaner collision environment than the LHC.

Sensitivity physics expected to the measurement of the quartic $WWγγ$ couplings at the LHeC and the FCC-he

We explore the physics expected sensitivity at the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) and the Future Circular Collider-hadron electron (FCC-he) to search for the anomalous quartic $WWγγ$ couplings in single $W$-boson production in association with a photon. We study the process $ep \to e^-γ^* p \to eWγq'X$ via the subprocess $γ^* q \to Wγq'$. The center-of-mass energies and luminosities of the LHeC are assumed to be $\sqrt{s}=1.30, 1.98$ TeV, ${\cal L}=10-100$ ${\rm fb^{-1} }$ and for the FCC-he $\sqrt{s}=3.46, 5.29$ TeV and ${\cal L}=100-1000$ ${\rm fb^{-1} }$. With these energies and luminosities, we estimate bounds on the anomalous quartic $WWγγ$ couplings at $95\%$ C.L., which can be an order of magnitude stringent than the experimental limits report by ATLAS and CMS Collaborations at the LHC.
