Effect of m_c on b quark chromomagnetic interaction and on-shell two-loop integrals with two masses

The effect of non-zero c quark mass on b quark HQET Lagrangian, up to 1/m_b level, is calculated at two loops. The results are expressed in terms of dilogarithmic functions of m_c/m_b. This calculation involves on-shell two-loop propagator-type diagrams with two different masses, m_b and m_c. A general algorithm for reducing such Feynman integrals to the basis of two nontrivial and two trivial integrals is constructed.

A geometrical angle on Feynman integrals

A direct link between a one-loop N-point Feynman diagram and a geometrical representation based on the N-dimensional simplex is established by relating the Feynman parametric representations to the integrals over contents of (N-1)-dimensional simplices in non-Euclidean geometry of constant curvature. In particular, the four-point function in four dimensions is proportional to the volume of a three-dimensional spherical (or hyperbolic) tetrahedron which can be calculated by splitting into birectangular ones. It is also shown that the known formula of reduction of the N-point function in (N-1) dimensions corresponds to splitting the related N-dimensional simplex into N rectangular ones.

Geometrical approach to the evaluation of multileg Feynman diagrams

A connection between one-loop $N$-point Feynman diagrams and certain geometrical quantities in non-Euclidean geometry is discussed. A geometrical way to calculate the corresponding Feynman integrals is considered. (This paper contains a brief review of the results presented in hep-th/9709216).

On-shell two-loop three-gluon vertex

The two-loop three-gluon vertex is calculated in an arbitrary covariant gauge, in the limit when two of the gluons are on the mass shell. The corresponding two-loop results for the ghost-gluon vertex are also obtained. It is shown that the results are consistent with the Ward-Slavnov-Taylor identities.

Two-loop three-gluon vertex in zero-momentum limit

The two-loop three-gluon vertex is calculated in an arbitrary covariant gauge, in the limit when one of the external momenta vanishes. The differential Ward-Slavnov-Taylor (WST) identity related to this limit is discussed, and the relevant results for the ghost-gluon vertex and two-point functions are obtained. Together with the differential WST identity, they provide another independent way for calculating the three-gluon vertex. The renormalization of the results obtained is also presented.

Three-gluon vertex in arbitrary gauge and dimension

One-loop off-shell contributions to the three-gluon vertex are calculated, in arbitrary covariant gauge and in arbitrary space-time dimension, including quark-loop contributions (with massless quarks). It is shown how one can get the results for all on-shell limits of interest directly from the general off-shell expression. The corresponding general expressions for the one-loop ghost-gluon vertex are also obtained. They allow for a check of consistency with the Ward--Slavnov--Taylor identity.

One-loop results for three-gluon vertex in arbitrary gauge and dimension

We review the calculation of one-loop contributions to the three-gluon vertex, for arbitrary (off-shell) external momenta, in arbitrary covariant gauge and in arbitrary space-time dimension. We discuss how one can get the results for all on-shell limits of interest directly from the general off-shell expression.

Small-threshold behaviour of two-loop self-energy diagrams: two-particle thresholds

The behaviour of two-loop two-point diagrams at non-zero thresholds corresponding to two-particle cuts is analyzed. The masses involved in a cut and the external momentum are assumed to be small as compared to some of the other masses of the diagram. By employing general formulae of asymptotic expansions of Feynman diagrams in momenta and masses, we construct an algorithm to derive analytic approximations to the diagrams. In such a way, we calculate several first coefficients of the expansion. Since no conditions on relative values of the small masses and the external momentum are imposed, the threshold irregularities are described analytically. Numerical examples, using diagrams occurring in the Standard Model, illustrate the convergence of the expansion below the first large threshold.

Tensor reduction of two-loop vacuum diagrams and projectors for expanding three-point functions

Explicit general formulae for the tensor reduction of two-loop massive vacuum diagrams are presented. The problem of calculating the corresponding coefficients is shown to be equivalent to the problem of constructing differential operators (projectors) extracting the coefficients of the momentum expansion of massive scalar three-point functions (with any number of loops), so the solution to the latter problem is also given.

Zero-threshold expansion of two-loop self-energy diagrams

An algorithm is constructed to derive a small momentum expansion for two-loop two-point diagrams in all cases where, due to the presence of physical thresholds, there are singularities at zero external momentum. The coefficients of this ``zero-threshold'' expansion are calculated analytically for arbitrary masses. Numerical examples, using diagrams occurring in the Standard Model, illustrate the convergence of the expansion below the first non-zero threshold.

New results for two-loop off-shell three-point diagrams

A number of exact results for two-loop three-point diagrams with massless internal particles and arbitrary (off-shell) external momenta are presented. Divergent contributions are calculated in the framework of dimensional regularization.

Progress in Evaluating Some Complicated Types of Feynman Diagrams with Two (and More) Loops

Problems occurring in physically important non-trivial examples of loop calculations are discussed. A procedure of deriving expansions of two-loop self-energy diagrams with different masses is constructed. The cases of small and large external momentum are considered. The coefficients of the expansions are calculated analytically. Comparison with numerical results shows good agreement below the first threshold and above the last threshold of the diagram. An approach to evaluating three- and four-point ladder diagrams with massless internal particles and off-shell external momenta is presented. Exact results for an arbitrary number of loops are obtained. Evaluating non-planar diagrams is also discussed.

Large momentum expansion of two-loop self-energy diagrams with arbitrary masses

For two-loop two-point diagrams with arbitrary masses, an algorithm to derive the asymptotic expansion at large external momentum squared is constructed. By using a general theorem on asymptotic expansions of Feynman diagrams, the coefficients of the expansion are calculated analytically. For some two-loop diagrams occurring in the Standard Model, comparison with results of numerical integration shows that our expansion works well in the region above the highest physical threshold.
