Polarization Phenomena in Small-Angle Photoproduction of e+e- Pairs and the GDH Sum Rule

We discuss a possibility to measure the spin-dependent part of the forward Compton scattering amplitude through interference effects of the Bethe-Heitler and virtual Compton scattering mechanisms in photoproduction of e+e- pairs at small angles.

Relativistic Oscillator Model and Delbrück scattering

Elastic scattering of photons in a Lorentz-scalar potential via virtual spin-zero particle-antiparticle pairs (`` Delbrück scattering") is considered. An analytic expression for the Delbrück amplitude is found exactly in case of an oscillator potential. General properties of the amplitude and its asymptotics are discussed.
