We prove that all linear Lie groups satisfying the conditions listed in the title are finite extensions of commutative Lie groups.
We prove that the discontinuity group of every locally bounded homomorphism of a Lie group into a Lie group is not only compact and connected, which is known, but is also commutative.
In the paper, a method of describing the outer derivations of the group algebra of a finitely presentable group is given. The description of derivations is given in terms of characters of the groupoid of the adjoint action of the group.
