EW one-loop corrections to the longitudinally polarized Drell-Yan process. Charged-current case II

Complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections to the charged-current Drell-Yan processes $pp \to \ell^{+}\nu_{\ell}(+X)$ and $pp \to \ell^{-}\bar{\nu}_{\ell}(+X)$ are presented for the case of longitudinal polarization of initial particles. The results can be used to obtain precise predictions for the kinematic distributions of polarized $W^{\pm}$ production cross sections, and single- and double-spin asymmetries. Numerical results are obtained using the Monte-Carlo generator {\tt ReneSANCe}. This research contributes to a global next-to-leading order analysis of polarized parton distributions in proton-proton collisions at RHIC. We proved that the impact of the one-loop electroweak radiative corrections to single- and double-spin asymmetries is negligible.

Description of Bhabha-scattering at small angles using the Monte Carlo generator ReneSANCe

Results of a simulation of Bhabha small-angle scattering process at center-of-mass energy of 240~GeV and at the $Z$-boson resonance using the Monte Carlo generator {\tt{ReneSANCe}} are presented. For the given accuracy about $10^{-4}$ in estimating luminosity of future electron-positron accelerators, the minimum cutoff angle for simulated events is established.

One-loop radiative corrections to photon-pair production in polarized positron-electron annihilation

A theoretical description of photon-pair production in polarized positron-electron annihilation is presented. Complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections are calculated taking into account the exact dependence on the electron mass. Analytical results are derived with the help of the SANC~system. The relevant contributions to the cross section are calculated analytically using the helicity amplitude approach. The cases of unpolarized and longitudinally polarized fermions in the initial state are investigated. Calculations are realized in the Monte Carlo integrator MCSANCee and generator ReneSANCe which allow one the implementation of any experimental cuts used in the analysis of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data of both low and high energies.

Submillimeter spectroscopy of tilted Nd_{1.85}Ce_{0.15}CuO_{4-δ} films: observation of a mixed a-c excitation

The anisotropic conductivity of a series of tilted Nd_{1.85}Ce_{0.15}CuO_{4-δ} thin films was measured by quasioptical spectroscopy in the frequency range 3cm^{-1}<ν<40cm^{-1}. Two characteristic features have been observed in the low-temperature transmission spectra. The first one at ν= 12cm^{-1} was shown to reflect the c-axis plasma frequency of Nd_{1.85}Ce_{0.15}CuO_{4-δ}. The second feature represents a new mixed ab-plane/c-axis excitation. The frequency of this resonance may be changed in a controllable way by rotating the polarization of the incident radiation.
