On $A_{n-1}^{(1)},B_{n}^{(1)}, C_{n}^{(1)}, D_{n}^{(1)},A_{2n}^{(2)}, A_{2n-1}^{(2)}$ and $D_{n+1}^{(2)}$ Reflection $K$-Matrices

We present the classification of the most general regular solutions to the boundary Yang-Baxter equations for vertex models associated with non-exceptional affine Lie algebras. Reduced solutions found by applying a limit procedure to the general solutions are discussed. We also present the list of diagonal $K$-matrices. Special cases are considered separately.

Solutions of the reflection equations for the $U_q[G_2]$ vertex model

We investigate the possible regular solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation for the fundamental $U_q[G_2]$ vertex model. We find four distinct classes of reflection matrices such that half of them are diagonal while the other half are non-diagonal. The latter are parameterized by two continuous parameters but only one solution has all entries non-null. The non-diagonal solutions do not reduce to diagonal ones at any special limit of the free-parameters.

On the algebraic Bethe ansatz: Periodic boundary conditions

In this paper, the algebraic Bethe ansatz with periodic boundary conditions is used to investigate trigonometric vertex models associated with the fundamental representations of the non-exceptional Lie algebras. This formulation allow us to present explicit expressions for the eigenvectors and eigenvalues of the respective transfer matrices.

Gaudin magnet with impurity and its generalized Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation

This work is concerned with the formulation of the boundary quantum inverse scattering method for the xxz Gaudin magnet coupled to boundary impurities with arbitrary exchange constants. The Gaudin magnet is diagonalized by taking a quasi-classical limit of the inhomogeneous lattice. Using the method proposed by Babujian, the integral representation for the solution of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation is explictly constructed and its rational limit discussed.

Algebraic Bethe Ansatz solutions for the $sl(2|1)^{(2)}$ and $osp(2|1)$ models with boundary terms

This work is concerned with the formulation of the graded quantum inverse scattering method for a class oflattice models with reflecting boundary conditions. The $sl(2|1)^{(2)}$ and $osp(2|1)$ models are considered with their diagonal reflections in BFB grading. This allowed us to derive the eigenvalues and eigenvectors for the corresponding transfer matrices as well as explicit expressions for the Bethe Ansatz equations.

Bethe Ansatz solution for quantum spin-1 chains with boundary terms

The procedure for obtaining integrable open spin chain Hamiltonians via reflection matrices is explicitly carried out for some three-state vertex models. We have considered the 19-vertex models of Zamolodchikov-Fateev and Izergin-Korepin, and the $Z_{2}$-graded 19-vertex models with $sl(2|1)$ and $osp(1|2)$ invariances. In each case the eigenspectrum is determined by application of the coordinate Bethe Ansatz.

$sl(2|1)^{(2)}$ Gaudin Magnet and its associated Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation

The semiclassical limit of the algebraic Bethe Ansatz method is used to solve the theory of Gaudin models for the $sl(2|1)^{(2)}$ R-matrix. We find the spectra and eigenvectors of the $N-1$ independents Gaudin Hamiltonians. We also use the off-shell Bethe Ansatz method to show how the off-shell Gaudin equation solves the associated trigonometric system of Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations.

$C_{n}^{(1)}$, $D_{n}^{(1)}$ and $A_{2n-1}^{(2)}$ reflection K-matrices

We investigate the possible regular solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation for the vertex models associated with the $C_{n}^{(1)}$, $D_{n}^{(1)}$ and $A_{2n-1}^{(2)}$ affine Lie algebras. We find three types of solutions with $n$, $n-1$ and 1 free parameters, respectively. Special cases and all diagonal solutions are presented separately.

Area Quantization in Quasi-Extreme Black Holes

We consider quasi-extreme Kerr and quasi-extreme Schwarzschild-de Sitter black holes. From the known analytical expressions obtained for their quasi-normal modes frequencies, we suggest an area quantization prescription for those objects.

Support of dS/CFT correspondence from space-time perturbations

We analyse the spectrum of perturbations of the de Sitter space on the one hand, while on the other hand we compute the location of the poles in the Conformal Field Theory (CFT) propagator at the border. The coincidence is striking, supporting a dS/CFT correspondence. We show that the spectrum of thermal excitations of the CFT at the past boundary $I^{-}$ together with that spectrum at the future boundary $I^{+}$ is contained in the quasi-normal mode spectrum of the de Sitter space in the bulk.

B_{n}^{(1)} and A_{2n}^{(2)}reflection K-matrices

We investigate the regular solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation for the vertex models associated with the $B_{n}^{(1)}$ and $A_{2n}^{(2)}$ affine Lie algebras. In both class of models we find two general solutions with $n+1$ free parameters. In addition, we have find $2n-1$ diagonal solutions for $B_{n}^{(1)}$ models and $2n+1$ diagonal solutions for $% A_{2n}^{(2)}$ models. It turns out that for each $B_{n}^{(1)}$ model there exist a diagonal K-matrix with one free parameter. Moreover, a three free parameter general solution exists for the $B_{1}^{(1)}$ model which is the vector representation for the Zamolodchikov-Fateev model.

$A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ Reflection K-Matrices

We investigate the possible regular solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation for the vertex models associated with the $A_{n-1}^{(1)}$ affine Lie algebra. We have classified them in two classes of solutions. The first class consists of $n(n-1)/2$ K-matrix solutions with three free parameters. The second class are solutions that depend on the parity of $n$. For $n$ odd there exist $n$ reflection matrices with $2+[n/2]$ free parameters. It turns out that for $n$ even there exist $n/2$ K-matrices with $2+n/2$ free parameters and $n/2$ K-matrices with $1+n/2$ free parameters.

Support of dS/CFT correspondence from perturbations of three dimensional spacetime

We discuss the relation between bulk de Sitter three-dimensional spacetime and the corresponding conformal field theory at the boundary, in the framework of the exact quasinormal mode spectrum. We show that the quasinormal mode spectrum corresponds exactly to the spectrum of thermal excitations of Conformal Field Theory at the past boundary I^-, together with the spectrum of the Conformal Field Theory at the future boundary I^+.

D_{n+1}^(2) Reflection K-matrices

We investigate the possible regular solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation for the vertex models associated to the D_{n+1}^(2) affine Lie algebra. We have classified them in terms of three types of K-matrices. The first one have n+2 free parameters and all the matrix elements are non-null. The second solution is given by a block diagonal matrix with just one free parameter. It turns out that for n even there exists a third class of K-matrix withou free parameter.

Off-Shell Bethe Ansatz Equation for $osp(2|1)$ Gaudin Magnets

The semi-classical limit of the algebraic Bethe Ansatz method is used to solve the theory of Gaudin models. Via the off-shell method we find the spectra and eigenvectors of the N-1 independent Gaudin Hamiltonians with symmetry osp(2|1). We also show how the off-shell Gaudin equation solves the trigonometric Knizhnik- Zamolodchikov equation.

Reflection K-Matrices for 19-Vertex Models

We derive and classify all regular solutions of the boundary Yang-Baxter equation for 19-vertex models known as Zamolodchikov-Fateev or $A_{1}^{(1)}$ model, Izergin-Korepin or $A_{2}^{(2)}$ model, sl(2|1) model and osp(2|1) model. We find that there is a general solution for $A_{1}^{(1)}$ and sl(2|1) models. In both models it is a complete K-matrix with three free parameters. For the $A_{2}^{(2)}$ and osp(2|1) models we find three general solutions, being two complete reflection K-matrices solutions and one incomplete reflection K-matrix solution with some null entries. In both models these solutions have two free parameters. Integrable spin-1 Hamiltonians with general boundary interactions are also presented. Several reduced solutions from these general solutions are presented in the appendices.
