Compactness and blow up results for doubly perturbed Yamabe problems on manifolds with umbilic boundary

Given a compact Riemannian manifold with umbilic boundary, the Yamabe boundary problem studies if there exist conformal scalar-flat metrics such that the boundary has constant mean curvature. In this paper we address to the stability of this problem with respect of perturbation of mean curvature of the boundary and scalar curvature of the manifold. In particular we prove that the Yamabe boundary problem is stable under perturbation of the mean curvature and the scalar curvature from below, while it is not stable if one of the two curvatures is perturbed from above.

A multiplicity result for double singularly perturbed elliptic systems

We show that the number of low energy solutions of a double singularly perturbed Schroedinger Maxwell system type on a smooth 3 dimensional manifold (M,g) depends on the topological properties of the manifold. The result is obtained via Lusternik Schnirelmann category theory.

The Nonlinear Schroedinger equation: solitons dynamics

In this paper we investigate the dynamics of solitons occurring in the nonlinear Schroedinger equation when a parameter h->0. We prove that under suitable assumptions, the the soliton approximately follows the dynamics of a point particle, namely, the motion of its barycenter $q_h(t)$ satisfies the equation $ddot{q}_h(t)+\nabla V(q_h(t))=H_h(t)$ where $\sup_{t\in R} |H_h(t)| -> 0$ as h->0.

Solitons for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation

In this paper we study existence and orbital stability for solitary waves of the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. The energy of these solutions travels as a localized packet, hence they are a particular type of solitons. In particular we are interested in sufficient conditions on the potential for the existence of solitons. Our proof is based on the study of the ratio energy/charge of a function, which turns out to be a useful approach for many field equations.
