Catalysis of Dynamical Chiral Symmetry Breaking by Chiral Chemical Potential in Dirac semimetals

In this paper we study how dynamical chiral symmetry breaking is affected by nonzero chiral chemical potential in Dirac semimetals. To perform this study we applied lattice quantum Monte Carlo simulations of Dirac semimetals. Within lattice simulation we calculated the chiral condensate for various fermion masses, the chiral chemical potentials and effective coupling constants. For all parameters under consideration we have found that the chiral condensate is enhanced by chiral chemical potential. Thus our results confirms that in Dirac semimetals the chiral chemical potential plays a role of the catalyst of the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking.

Transversal and longitudinal gluon spectral functions from twisted mass lattice QCD with $N_f=2+1+1$ flavors

I report on the first application of a novel, generalized Bayesian reconstruction (BR) method for spectral functions to the characterization of QCD constituents. These spectral functions find applications in off-shell kinetics of the quark-gluon plasma and in calculations of transport coefficients. The new BR method is applied to Euclidean propagator data, obtained in Landau gauge on lattices with $N_f=2+1+1$ dynamical flavors by the "twisted mass at finite temperature" (tmfT) collaboration. The deployed reconstruction method is designed for spectral functions that can exhibit positivity violation (opposed to that of hadronic bound states). The transversal and longitudinal gluon spectral functions show a robust structure composed of quasiparticle peak and a negative trough. Characteristic differences between the hadronic and the plasma phase and between the two channels become visible. We obtain the temperature dependence of the transversal and longitudinal gluon masses.

Pair double heavy diquark production in high energy proton-proton collisions

On the basis of perturbative QCD and relativistic quark model we calculate relativistic and bound state corrections in the production processes of a pair of double heavy diquarks. Relativistic factors in the production amplitude connected with the relative motion of heavy quarks and the transformation law of the bound state wave function to the reference frame of the moving S-wave diquark bound states are taken into account. For the gluon and quark propagators entering the amplitudes we use a truncated expansion in relative quark momenta up to the second order. Relativistic corrections to the quark-quark bound state wave functions in the rest frame are considered by means of the Breit-like potential. It turns out that the examined effects significantly decrease nonrelativistic cross sections.

Relativistic corrections to the pair double heavy diquark production in e^+e^- annihilation

On the basis of perturbative QCD and relativistic quark model we calculate relativistic and bound state corrections in the production processes of a pair of double heavy diquarks. Relativistic factors in the production amplitude connected with the relative motion of heavy quarks and the transformation law of the bound state wave function to the reference frame of the moving diquark S-wave bound states are taken into account. For the gluon and quark propagators entering the production vertex function we use a truncated expansion in the ratio of the relative quark momenta to the center-of-mass energy s up to the second order. Relativistic corrections to the quark-quark bound state wave functions in the rest frame are considered by means of the Breit-like potential. It turns out that examined effects change essentially nonrelativistic results of the cross sections. The estimate of the yield of pairs of double heavy baryons (ccq) at the B-factory is presented.

Relativistic corrections to η_c-pair production in high energy proton-proton collisions

On the basis of perturbative QCD and the relativistic quark model we calculate relativistic corrections to the double $η_c$ meson production in proton-proton interactions at LHC energies. Relativistic terms in the production amplitude connected with the relative motion of heavy quarks and the transformation law of the bound state wave functions to the reference frame of moving charmonia are taken into account. For the gluon and quark propagators entering the amplitude we use a truncated expansion in relative quark momenta up to the second order. Relativistic corrections to the quark bound state wave functions are considered by means of the Breit-like potential. It turns out that the examined effects decrease total nonrelativistic cross section more than two times and on 20 percents in the rapidity region of LHCb detector.

Relativistic corrections to double charmonium production in high energy proton-proton interaction

On the basis of pertubative QCD and the relativistic quark model we calculate relativistic corrections to the process of pair $J/ψ$ production in proton-proton collisions at LHC energy $\sqrt S=7$ TeV. Relativistic terms in the production amplitude connected with the relative motion of heavy quarks and the transformation law of the bound state wave functions to the reference frame of moving $J/ψ$ mesons are taken into account. For the gluon and quark propagators entering the amplitude we use a truncated expansion in relative quark momenta up to the second order. Relativistic corrections to the quark bound state wave functions are considered by means of the Breit-like potential. It turns out that the examined effects decrease initial nonrelativistic cross section more than two times. The final result lies below the experimental value measured by LHCb.

Relativistic description of the double P-wave charmonium production in e^+e^- annihilation

On the basis of perturbative QCD and the relativistic quark model we calculate relativistic and bound state corrections in the production processes of a pair of P-wave charmonium states. Relativistic factors in the production amplitude connected with the relative motion of heavy quarks and the transformation law of the bound state wave function to the reference frame of the moving P-wave mesons are taken into account. For the gluon and quark propagators entering the production vertex function we use a truncated expansion in the ratio of the relative quark momenta to the center-of-mass energy sqrt{s} up to the second order. Relativistic corrections to the quark bound state wave functions in the rest frame are considered by means of the Breit-like potential. It turns out that the examined effects change essentially the nonrelativistic results of the cross section for the reaction e^++e^-\to h_c+χ_{cJ} at the center-of-mass energy sqrt{s}=10.6 GeV.
