Elementary Askey-Wilson Functions

We present a determinantal evaluation formula for the very-well-poised ${}_8Φ_7$ basic hypergeometric Askey-Wilson function in terms of elementary functions. The formula in question is valid for discrete values of the four permutation-symmetric Askey-Wilson parameters; specifically, these consist of all quadruples of parameter values that are given, up to a sign, by powers $q^k$ with $k$ a positive integer or half-integer, in such a way that each of the four types (positive/negative sign, integer/half-integer power) occurs exactly once. The proof hinges on a product formula for an associated Cauchy-type determinant, which is of independent interest and is established here by elementary means using Krattenthaler's `identification of factors' method for determinant evaluations.

Construction of double Grothendieck polynomials of classical types using IdCoxeter algebras

We construct double Grothendieck polynomials of classical types which are essentially equivalent to but simpler than the polynomials defined by A.N.Kirillov in arXiv:1504.01469 and identify them with the polynomials defined by T.Ikeda and H.Naruse in Adv. Math.(2013) for the case of maximal Grassmannian permutations. We also give geometric interpretation of them in terms of algebraic localization map and give explicit combinatorial formulas.

Bethe subalgebras in affine Birman--Murakami--Wenzl algebras and flat connections for q-KZ equations

Commutative sets of Jucys-Murphyelements for affine braid groups of $A^{(1)},B^{(1)},C^{(1)},D^{(1)}$ types were defined. Construction of $R$-matrix representations of the affine braid group of type $C^{(1)}$ and its distinguish commutative subgroup generated by the $C^{(1)}$-type Jucys--Murphy elements are given. We describe a general method to produce flat connections for the two-boundary quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations as necessary conditions for Sklyanin's type transfer matrix associated with the two-boundary multicomponent Zamolodchikov algebra to be invariant under the action of the $C^{(1)}$-type Jucys--Murphy elements. We specify our general construction to the case of the Birman--Murakami--Wenzl algebras. As an application we suggest a baxterization of the Dunkl--Cherednik elements $Y's$ in the double affine Hecke algebra of type $A$.

Rigged Configurations and Catalan, Stretched Parabolic Kostka Numbers and Polynomials: Polynomiality, Unimodality and Log-concavity

We will look at the Catalan numbers from the {\it Rigged Configurations} point of view originated \cite{Kir} from an combinatorial analysis of the Bethe Ansatz Equations associated with the higher spin anisotropic Heisenberg models . Our strategy is to take a combinatorial interpretation of Catalan numbers $C_n$ as the number of standard Young tableaux of rectangular shape $(n^2)$, or equivalently, as the Kostka number $K_{(n^2),1^{2n}}$, as the starting point of research. We observe that the rectangular (or multidimensional) Catalan numbers $ C(m,n)$ introduced and studied by P. MacMahon \cite{Mc}, \cite{Su1}, see also \cite{Su2}, can be identified with the Kostka number $K_{(n^m),1^{mn}}$, and therefore can be treated by Rigged Configurations technique. Based on this technique we study the stretched Kostka numbers and polynomials, and give a proof of `` a strong rationality `` of the stretched Kostka polynomials. This result implies a polynomiality property of the stretched Kostka and stretched Littlewood--Richardson coefficients \cite{KT}, \cite{Ras}, \cite{Ki1}. Another application of the Rigged Configuration technique presented, is a new family of counterexamples to Okounkov's log-concavity conjecture \cite{Ok}. Finally, we apply Rigged Configurations technique to give a combinatorial prove of the unimodality of the principal specialization of the internal product of Schur functions. In fact we prove a combinatorial formula for generalized $q$-Gaussian polynomials which is a far generalization of the so-called $KOH$-identity \cite{O}, as well as it manifests the unimodality property of the $q$-Gaussian polynomials.

On Double Schubert and Grothendieck polynomials for Classical Groups

We give an algebra-combinatorial constructions of (noncommutative) generating functions of double Schubert and double $β$-Grothendieck polynomials corresponding to the full flag varieties associated to the Lie groups of classical types $A,B, C$ and $D$. Our approach is based on the decomposition of certain `` transfer matrices `` corresponding to the exponential solution to the quantum Yang--Baxter equations associated with either NiCoxeter or IdCoxeter algebras of classical types. The "triple"~$β$-Grothendieck polynomials ${\mathfrak{G}}_{w}^{W}(X,Y,Z)$ we have introduced, satisfy, among other things, the coherency and (generalized) vanishing conditions. Their generating function has a nice factorization in the algebra $Id_βCoxeter(W)$, and as a consequence, the polynomials ${\mathfrak{G}}_{w}^{W}(X,Y,Z)$ admit a combinatorial description in terms of $W$-type pipe dreams.

Combinatorics and Geometry of Higher Level Weyl Modules

A higher level analog of Weyl modules over multi-variable currents is proposed. It is shown that the sum of their dual spaces form a commutative algebra. The structure of these modules and the geometry of the projective spectrum of this algebra is studied for the currents of dimension one and two. Along the way we prove some particular cases of the conjectures in [FL1] and propose a generalization of the notion of parking function representations.

Crystallising the Depth Rule for WZNW Fusion Coefficients

Motivated by a formula (due to Zelobenko) for finite Lie algebra tensor products, we propose a reformulation of the Gepner-Witten depth rule. Implementation of this rule remains difficult, however, since the basis states convenient for calculating tensor product coefficients do not have a well-defined depth. To avoid this problem, we present a `crystal depth rule', that gives a lower bound for the minimum level at which a WZNW fusion appears. The bound seems to be quite accurate for $su(N>3),$ and for $su(3)$ the rule is proven to be exact. (Talk presented by M.W. at the XIXth International Colloquium on Group Theoretical Methods in Physics.)

Can fusion coefficients be calculated from the depth rule ?

The depth rule is a level truncation of tensor product coefficients expected to be sufficient for the evaluation of fusion coefficients. We reformulate the depth rule in a precise way, and show how, in principle, it can be used to calculate fusion coefficients. However, we argue that the computation of the depth itself, in terms of which the constraints on tensor product coefficients is formulated, is problematic. Indeed, the elements of the basis of states convenient for calculating tensor product coefficients do not have a well-defined depth! We proceed by showing how one can calculate the depth in an `approximate' way and derive accurate lower bounds for the minimum level at which a coupling appears. It turns out that this method yields exact results for $\widehat{su}(3)$ and constitutes an efficient and simple algorithm for computing $\widehat{su}(3)$ fusion coefficients.
