$μ$LHC: Antimuon Ring and HL-LHC based $μ^+p$ Collider

Conceptual design and performance evaluation of HL-LHC based antimuon-proton collider ($μ$LHC) are presented. Leveraging the $μ$TRISTAN concept based on established J-PARC ultra-cold $μ^{+}$ beam technology, $μ$LHC will give the opportunity to achieve a 5.3 TeV center-of-mass energy, significantly surpassing EIC and LHeC. Two booster ring options for $μ^{+}$ acceleration, namely, a $μ$TRISTAN-based and a repurposed LHeC ERL-based systems, are explored. Achievable luminosities are predicted to exceed $10^{33} cm^{-2}s^{-1}$. The $μ$LHC offers substantially wider kinematic plane coverage, particularly in small-x and high-$Q^{2}$ regions, significantly contributing to QCD basics and Higgs boson properties. Its unique potential for BSM physics extends to muon-related phenomena like excited muons, color-octet muons, leptoquarks, and contact interactions. A possible detector concept is also outlined. Given the maturity of ultra-cold $μ^{+}$ beam technology, $μ$LHC is highly feasible for earlier realization than the muon collider, positioning it as a critical tool for the future of high energy physics.

Alternative scenarios for the LHC based electron-proton collider

Construction of the ERLC (twin LC) collider tangential to LHC will give opportunity to investigate ep collisions at essentially higher center-of-mass energies than ERL50 and LHC based ep collider. Luminosity estimations show that values well exceeding 10^{34} cm^{-2}s^{-1} can be achieved for ERLC and HL-LHC based ep colliders. Certainly, proposed ep colliders have great potential for clarifying QCD basics and new physics search in addition to providing precise PDFs for adequate interpretation of LHC experimental data. Another alternative to the ERL50 is to construct an e-ring with the same energy and length. In this case, 4.2x10^{33} cm^{-2}s^{-1} luminosity can be reached. The advantage of this option is that the μ-ring can be installed instead of the e-ring as a next stage, which will allow it to reach a much higher center of mass energy.

Microwave-induced nonequilibrium temperature in a suspended carbon nanotube

Antenna-coupled suspended single carbon nanotubes exposed to 108 GHz microwave radiation are shown to be selectively heated with respect to their metal contacts. This leads to an increase in the conductance as well as to the development of a power-dependent DC voltage. The increased conductance stems from the temperature dependence of tunneling into a one-dimensional electron system. The DC voltage is interpreted as a thermovoltage, due to the increased temperature of the electron liquid compared to the equilibrium temperature in the leads.

Wedderburn polynomials over division rings, II

A polynomial $f(t)$ in an Ore extension $K[t;S,D]$ over a division ring $K$ is a Wedderburn polynomial if $f(t)$ is monic and is the minimal polynomial of an algebraic subset of $K$. These polynomials have been studied in "Wedderburn polynomials over division rings,I (Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra, Vol. 186, (2004), 43-76). In this paper, we continue this study and give some applications to triangulation, diagonalization and eigenvalues of matrices over a division ring in the general setting of $(S,D)$-pseudo-linear transformations. In the last section we introduce and study the notion of $G$-algebraic sets which, in particular, permits generalization of Wedderburn's theorem relative to factorization of central polynomials.

Algebraic and F-Independent sets in 2-firs

Let $R$ denote a 2-fir. The notions of F-independence and algebraic subsets of R are defined. The decomposition of an algebraic subset into similarity classes gives a simple way of translating the F-independence in terms of dimension of some vector spaces. In particular to each element $a \in R$ is attached a certain algebraic set of atoms and the above decomposition gives a lower bound of the length of the atomic decompositions of $a$ in terms of dimensions of certain vector spaces. A notion of rank is introduced and fully reducible elements are studied in details.

1996 multisite photometric and spectral campaign on the lambda Boo star 29 Cyg

The preliminary results of a 1996 multisite campaign on the pulsating lambda Bootis star 29 Cyg are presented. This campaign, initiated by the Central Asian Network (CAN), allowed to collect data during 48 photometric and 2 spectroscopic nights at observatories of Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Hungary, Canada and USA. The multiplicity of excited modes is confirmed in both spectroscopy and photometry. The analysis of all 1995 and 1996 data, combined with new CAN observations made in July-October 1997, is under way.
