Blackbody radiation in a nonextensive scenario

An exact analysis of the N-dimensional blackbody radiation process in a nonextensive à la Tsallis scenario is performed for values of the nonextensive's index in the range ($0<q<1$). The recently advanced ``Optimal Lagrange Multipliers" (OLM) technique has been employed. The results are consistent with those of the extensive, $q=1$ case. The generalization of the celebrated laws of Planck, Stefan-Boltzmann, and Wien are investigated. Thermodynamics' 0-th-Law in a nonextensive scenario

Tsallis' thermostatistics is by now recognized as a new paradigm for statistical mechanical considerations. However, it is still affected by a serious hindrance: the generalization of thermodynamics' zero-th law to a nonextensive scenario is plagued by difficulties. Here we show how to overcome this problem.

Equipartition and Virial theorems in a nonextensive optimal Lagrange multipliers scenario

We revisit some topics of classical thermostatistics from the perspective of the nonextensive optimal Lagrange multipliers (OLM), a recently introduced technique for dealing with the maximization of Tsallis' information measure. It is shown that Equipartition and Virial theorems can be reproduced by Tsallis' nonextensive formalism independently of the value of the nonextensivity index.

Ideal gas in nonextensive optimal Lagrange multipliers formalism

Based on the prescription termed the optimal Lagrange multipliers formalism for extremizing the Tsallis entropy indexed by q, it is shown that key aspects of the treatment of the ideal gas problem are identical in both the nonextensive and extensive cases.

Classical trajectories compatible with quantum mechanics

Consider any stationary Schroedinger wave equation (SWE) solution $psi (x)$ for a particle. The corresponding PDF on position QTR{em}{x} of the particle is QTR{em}{p}$_{X}(x)=|psi (x)|^{2}$. There is a classical trajectory QTR{em}{x(t)} for the particle that is consistent with this PDF. The trajectory is unique to within an additive constant corresponding to an initial condition QTR{em}{x(0).} However the value of QTR{em}{x(0)} cannot be known. As an example, a free particle in its ground state in a box of length QTR{em}{L} obeys a classical trajectory QTR{em}{x/L - (1/2}$pi)sin (2pi x/L)+t_{0}=t.$ The constant QTR{em}{t}$_{0}$ is an unknowable time displacement. Momentum values, however, cannot be determined by merely differentiating QTR{em}{d/dt} the trajectory QTR{em}{x(t)} and, instead, follow the usual quantification rules of Heisenberg's. This permits position and momentum to remain complementary variables. Our approach is fundamentally different from that of D. Bohm.

Early Universe Test of Nonextensive Statistics

Within an early Universe scenario, nonextensive thermostatistics (NET) is investigated on the basis of data concerning primordial Helium abundance. We obtain first order corrections to the energy densities and weak interactions rates, and use them to compute the deviation in the primordial Helium abundance. After compare with observational results, a severe bound is stablished.
