Cosmological evolution of interacting dark energy in Lorentz violation

The cosmological evolution of an interacting scalar field model in which the scalar field interacts with dark matter, radiation, and baryon via Lorentz violation is investigated. We propose a model of interaction through the effective coupling $\barβ$. Using dynamical system analysis, we study the linear dynamics of an interacting model and show that the dynamics of critical points are completely controlled by two parameters. Some results can be mentioned as follows. Firstly, the sequence of radiation, the dark matter, and the scalar field dark energy exist and baryons are sub dominant. Secondly, the model also allows the possibility of having a universe in the phantom phase with constant potential. Thirdly, the effective gravitational constant varies with respect to time through $\barβ$. In particular, we consider a simple case where $\barβ$ has a quadratic form and has a good agreement with the modified $Λ$CDM and quintessence models. Finally, we also calculate the first post--Newtonian parameters for our model.

CP Violation in Seesaw Model

We study the structure of CP violating phases in the seesaw model. We find that the $3\times 6$ MNS matrix contains six independent phases, three of which are identified as a Dirac phase and two Majorana phases in the light neutrino sector while the remaining three arise from the mixing of the light neutrinos and heavy neutrinos. We show how to determine these phases from physical observables.

Neutrino mixing in Seesaw model

We study the neutrino mixing matrix (the MNS matrix) in the seesaw model. By assuming a large mass hierarchy for the heavy right-handed Majorana mass, we show that, in the diagonal Majorana base, the MNS matrix is determined by a unitary matrix, $S$, which transforms the neutrino Yukawa matrix, $y_ν$, into a triangular form, $y_{\triangle}$. The mixing matrix of light leptons is $V_{KM} S^{\prime *}$, where $V_{KM} \equiv {V_{Le}}^{\dagger} V_{L ν}$ %$V_{Le}$ and $V_{Lν}$ diagonalize %the Yukawa matrices of charged leptons, %$y_e y_e^{\dagger}$, and neutrinos, $y_ν y_ν^{\dagger}$, %respectively, and $S^{\prime *} \equiv {V_{Lν}}^{\dagger} S^*$. Large mixing may occur without fine tuning of the matrix elements of $y_{\triangle}$ even if the usual KM-like matrix $V_{KM}$ is given by $V_{KM} =1$. This large mixing naturally may satisfy the experimental lower bound of the mixing implied by the atmospheric neutrino oscillation.

Path-Integral Formulation of Casimir Effects in Supersymmetric Quantum Electrodynamics

The Casimir effect is an interesting phenomenon in the sense that it provides us with one of the primitive means of extracting the energy out of the vacuum. Since the original work of Casimir a number of works have appeared in extending the result to the case of more general topological and dynamical configurations of the boundary condition and to the circumstances at finite temperature and gravity. In the studies of the Casimir effects it is common to assume the free electromagnetic field in the bounded region. It may be interesting to extend our arguments for fields other than the electromagnetic field. The Casimir effect due to the free fermionic fields has been investigated by several authors and has been found to result in an attractive force under the suitable physical boundary conditions.
