Spin Particle with a Color Charge in a Color Field in Riemann-Cartan Space

On the basis of the method of Cartan exterior forms and extended Lie derivatives, a hydrodynamic equation of the Euler type that describes a perfect spin fluid with an intrinsic color charge in an external non-Abelian color field in Riemann-Cartan space is derived from the energy-momentum quasiconservation law. This equation is used to obtain a self-consistent set of equations of motion for a classical test particle with a spin and a color charge in a color field combined with a gravitational field characterized by curvature and torsion. The resulting equations generalize the Wong equation, which describes the motion of a particle with an isospin, and the Tamm-Good and Bargmann-Michel-Telegdi equations, which describe the evolution of a charged-particle spin in an electromagnetic field.

Perfect Spin Fluid with Intrinsic Color Charge

A variational theory of a perfect spin fluid with intrinsic non-Abelian color charge is constructed with allowance for spin-polarization chromomagnetic effects in Riemann-Cartan space with curvature and torsion. The spacelike nature of the spin is taken into account explicitly in this theory by including the Frenkel condition in the Lagrangian. The equations of motion, the laws that govern the evolutions of the spin and color-charge tensors, and the expression for the energy-momentum tensor for the fluid in question are obtained. In the limiting case, the theory goes over to the well-known theory of Weyssenhoff-Raabe perfect spin fluid.

A Model of Perfect Fluid with Spin and Non-Abelian Color Charge

We consider a hydrodynamic approach in which a quantum system of interacting quarks and gluons is approximated classically by representing it as a perfect fluid having intrinsic degrees of freedom. Every particle of such fluid is endowed with spin and non-Abelian color charge. The variational theory of such perfect spin fluid with color charge is constructed, the spin-polarization chromomagnetic effects in an external Yang-Mills field and in Riemann-Cartan space with curvature and torsion being taken into account.

Magnetic Oscillations in Dense Cold Quark Matter with Four-Fermion Interactions

The phase structures of Nambu-Jona-Lasinio models with one or two flavours have been investigated at non-zero values of $μ$ and $H$, where $H$ is an external magnetic field and $μ$ is the chemical potential. In the phase portraits of both models there arise infinitely many massless chirally symmetric phases, as well as massive ones with spontaneously broken chiral invariance, reflecting the existence of infinitely many Landau levels. Phase transitions of first and second orders and a lot of tricritical points have been shown to exist in phase diagrams. In the massless case, such a phase structure leads unavoidably to the standard van Alphen-de Haas magnetic oscillations of some thermodynamical quantities, including magnetization, pressure and particle density. In the massive case we have found an oscillating behaviour not only for thermodynamical quantities, but also for a dynamical quantity as the quark mass. Besides, in this case we have non-standard, i.e. non-periodic, magnetic oscillations, since the frequency of oscillations is an $H$-dependent quantity.

Algebraic approach to the spectral problem for the Schroedinger equation with power potentials

The method reducing the solution of the Schroedinger equation for several types of power potentials to the solution of the eigenvalue problem for the infinite system of algebraic equations is developed. The finite truncation of this system provides high accuracy results for low-lying levels. The proposed approach is appropriate both for analytic calculations and for numerical computations. This method allows also to determine the spectrum of the Schroedinger-like relativistic equations. The heavy quarkonium (charmonium and bottomonium) mass spectra for the Cornell potential and the sum of the Coulomb and oscillator potentials are calculated. The results are in good agreement with experimental data.
