On dual description of the deformed $O(N)$ sigma model

We study dual strong coupling description of integrability-preserving deformation of the $O(N)$ sigma model. Dual theory is described by a coupled theory of Dirac fermions with four-fermion interaction and bosonic fields with exponential interactions. We claim that both theories share the same integrable structure and coincide as quantum field theories. We construct a solution of Ricci flow equation which behaves in the UV as a free theory perturbed by graviton operators and show that it coincides with the metric of the $η-$deformed $O(N)$ sigma-model after $T-$duality transformation.

Integrability, Duality and Sigma Models

We introduce and study conformal field theories specified by $W-$algebras commuting with certain set of screening charges. These CFT's possess perturbations which define integrable QFT's. We establish that these QFT's have local and non-local Integrals of Motion and admit the perturbation theory in the weak coupling region. We construct factorized scattering theory which is consistent with non-local Integrals of Motion and perturbation theory. In the strong coupling limit the $S-$matrix of this QFT tends to the scattering matrix of the $O(N)$ sigma model. The perturbation theory, Bethe anzatz technique, renormalization group approach and methods of conformal field theory are applied to show, that the constructed QFT's are dual to integrable deformation of $O(N)$ sigma-models.

On spectrum of ILW hierarchy in conformal field theory II: coset CFT's

We study integrable structure of the coset conformal field theory and define the system of Integrals of Motion which depends on external parameters. This system can be viewed as a quantization of the ILW type hierarchy. We propose a set of Bethe anzatz equations for its spectrum.

On spectrum of ILW hierarchy in conformal field theory

We consider a system of Integrals of Motion in conformal field theory related to the gl(2) Intermediate Long Wave equation. It interpolates between the system studied by Bazhanov, Lukyanov and Zamolodchikov and the one studied by the author and collaborators. We find Bethe anzatz equations for the spectrum of this system and its gl(n) generalizations.

Instanton moduli spaces and bases in coset conformal field theory

Recently proposed relation between conformal field theories in two dimensions and supersymmetric gauge theories in four dimensions predicts the existence of the distinguished basis in the space of local fields in CFT. This basis has a number of remarkable properties, one of them is the complete factorization of the coefficients of the operator product expansion. We consider a particular case of the U(r) gauge theory on C^2/Z_p which corresponds to a certain coset conformal field theory and describe the properties of this basis. We argue that in the case p=2, r=2 there exist different bases. We give an explicit construction of one of them. For another basis we propose the formula for matrix elements.

Integrable structure, W-symmetry and AGT relation

In these notes we consider integrable structure of the conformal field theory with the algebra of symmetries $\mathcal{A}=W_{n}\otimes H$, where $W_{n}$ is $W-$algebra and $H$ is Heisenberg algebra. We found the system of commuting Integrals of Motion with relatively simple properties. In particular, this system has very simple spectrum and the matrix elements of special primary operators between its eigenstates have nice factorized form coinciding exactly with the contribution of the bifundamental multiplet to the Nekrasov partition function for U(n) gauge theories.

On combinatorial expansion of the conformal blocks arising from AGT conjecture

In their recent paper \cite{Alday:2009aq} Alday, Gaiotto and Tachikawa proposed a relation between $\mathcal{N}=2$ four-dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories and two-dimensional conformal field theories. As part of their conjecture they gave an explicit combinatorial formula for the expansion of the conformal blocks inspired from the exact form of instanton part of the Nekrasov partition function. In this paper we study the origin of such an expansion from a CFT point of view. We consider the algebra $\mathcal{A}=\text{\sf Vir}\otimes\mathcal{H}$ which is the tensor product of mutually commuting Virasoro and Heisenberg algebras and discover the special orthogonal basis of states in the highest weight representations of $\mathcal{A}$. The matrix elements of primary fields in this basis have a very simple factorized form and coincide with the function called $Z_{\text{\sf{bif}}}$ appearing in the instanton counting literature. Having such a simple basis, the problem of computation of the conformal blocks simplifies drastically and can be shown to lead to the expansion proposed in \cite{Alday:2009aq}. We found that this basis diagonalizes an infinite system of commuting Integrals of Motion related to Benjamin-Ono integrable hierarchy.

Parafermionic polynomials, Selberg integrals and three-point correlation function in parafermionic Liouville field theory

In this paper we consider parafermionic Liouville field theory. We study integral representations of three-point correlation functions and develop a method allowing us to compute them exactly. In particular, we evaluate the generalization of Selberg integral obtained by insertion of parafermionic polynomial. Our result is justified by different approach based on dual representation of parafermionic Liouville field theory described by three-exponential model.

On AGT conjecture

In these notes we consider relation between conformal blocks and the Nekrasov partition function of certain $\mathcal{N}=2$ SYM theories proposed recently by Alday, Gaiotto and Tachikawa. We concentrate on $\mathcal{N}=2^{*}$ theory, which is the simplest example of AGT relation.

Differential equation for four-point correlation function in Liouville field theory and elliptic four-point conformal blocks

Liouville field theory on a sphere is considered. We explicitly derive a differential equation for four-point correlation functions with one degenerate field $V_{-\frac{mb}{2}}$. We introduce and study also a class of four-point conformal blocks which can be calculated exactly and represented by finite dimensional integrals of elliptic theta-functions for arbitrary intermediate dimension. We study also the bootstrap equations for these conformal blocks and derive integral representations for corresponding four-point correlation functions. A relation between the one-point correlation function of a primary field on a torus and a special four-point correlation function on a sphere is proposed.

Correlation functions in conformal Toda field theory II

This is the second part of the paper 0709.3806v2. Here we show that three-point correlation function with one semi-degenerate field in Toda field theory as well as four-point correlation function with one completely degenerate and one semi-degenerate field can be represented by the finite dimensional integrals.

Correlation functions in conformal Toda field theory I

Two-dimensional sl(n) quantum Toda field theory on a sphere is considered. This theory provides an important example of conformal field theory with higher spin symmetry. We derive the three-point correlation functions of the exponential fields if one of the three fields has a special form. In this case it is possible to write down and solve explicitly the differential equation for the four-point correlation function if the fourth field is completely degenerate. We give also expressions for the three-point correlation functions in the cases, when they can be expressed in terms of known functions. The semiclassical and minisuperspace approaches in the conformal Toda field theory are studied and the results coming from these approaches are compared with the proposed analytical expression for the three-point correlation function. We show, that in the framework of semiclassical and minisuperspace approaches general three-point correlation function can be reduced to the finite-dimensional integral.

On differential equation on four-point correlation function in the Conformal Toda Field Theory

The properties of completely degenerate fields in the Conformal Toda Field Theory are studied. It is shown that a generic four-point correlation function that contains only one such field does not satisfy ordinary differential equation in contrast to the Liouville Field Theory. Some additional assumptions for other fields are required. Under these assumptions we write such a differential equation and solve it explicitly. We use the fusion properties of the operator algebra to derive a special set of three-point correlation function. The result agrees with the semiclassical calculations.

On correlation functions in the perturbed minimal models M(2,2n+1)

Two-point correlation functions of spin operators in the minimal models ${\cal M}_{p,p'}$ perturbed by the field $Φ_{13}$ are studied in the framework of conformal perturbation theory. The first-order corrections for the structure functions are derived analytically in terms of gamma functions. Together with the exact vacuum expectation values of local operators, this gives the short-distance expansion of the correlation functions. The long-distance behaviors of these correlation functions in the case ${\cal M}_{2,2n+1}$ have been worked out using a form-factor bootstrap approach. The results of numerical calculations demonstrate that the short- and long-distance expansions match at the intermediate distances. Including the descendent operators in the OPE drastically improves the convergency region. The combination of the two methods thus describes the correlation functions at all length scales with good precision.
