Relation between the Berry phase in quantum hermitian and non-hermitian systems and the Hannay phase in the equivalent classical systems

The well-known geometric phase present in the quantum adiabatic evolution discovered by Berry many years ago has its analogue, the Hannay phase, in the classical domain. We calculate the Berry phase with examples for quantum hermitian and non-hermitian $PT$-symmetric Hamiltonians and compare with the Hannay phase in their classical equivalents. We use the analogy to propose resonant electric circuits which reproduce the theoretical solutions in simulated laboratory experiments.

Measuring the Hannay geomatric phase

An electric network whose dynamics is entirely equivalent to the Foucault pendulum is presented. This circuit allows one to measure in a simulation of the circuit, and eventually in a built circuit in the laboratory, the Hannay geometric phase. This phase corresponds, via the equivalence discussed in the text, exactly to the latitude effect on the rotation of the oscillation plane of the pendulum. The circuit includes a gyrator, that introduces a non-reciprocal character to the network.

The quantum CP-violating kaon system reproduced in the electronic laboratory (Homage to Nolberto Martinez)

The equivalence between the $\mathrm{Schr\ddot{o}dinger}$ dynamics of a quantum system with a finite number of basis states and a classical dynamics is realized in terms of electric networks. The isomorphism that connects in a univocal way both dynamical systems was applied to the case of neutral mesons, kaons in particular, and the class of electric networks univocally related to the quantum system was analyzed. Moreover, under $CPT$ invariance, the relevant $ε$ parameter that measures $CP$ violation in the kaon system is reinterpreted in terms of network parameters. All these results were explicitly shown by means of both a numerical simulation of the implied networks and by constructing the corresponding circuits.

Second Generation of 'Miranda Procedure' for CP Violation in Dalitz Studies of B (\& D \& τ) Decays

The `Miranda Procedure' proposed for analyzing Dalitz plots for CP asymmetries in charged B and D decays in a model-independent manner is extended and refined. The complexity of CKM CP phenomenology through order $λ^6$ is needed in searches for New Dynamics (ND). Detailed analyses of three-body final states other great advantages: (i) They give us more powerful tools for deciding whether an observed CP asymmetry rep- resents the manifestation of ND and its features. (ii) Many advantages can already be obtained by the `Miranda Procedure' without construction of a detailed Dalitz plot de- scription. (iii) One studies CP asymmetries independent of production asymmetries. We illustrate the power of a second generation Miranda Procedure with examples with time integrated rates for $B_d/\bar B_d$ decays to final states $K_Sπ+π-$ as trial runs with comments on $B^{\pm} \to K^{\pm}π^+π^-/K^{\pm}K^+K^-$.
