Deformed Clifford algebra and supersymmetric quantum mechanics on a phase space with applications in quantum optics

In order to realize supersymmetric quantum mechanics methods on a four dimensional classical phase-space, the complexified Clifford algebra of this space is extended by deforming it with the Moyal star-product in composing the components of Clifford forms. Two isospectral matrix Hamiltonians having a common bosonic part but different fermionic parts depending on four real-valued phase space functions are obtained. The Hamiltonians are doubly intertwined via matrix-valued functions which are divisors of zero in the resulting Moyal-Clifford algebra. Two illustrative examples corresponding to Jaynes-Cummings-type models of quantum optics are presented as special cases of the method. Their spectra, eigen-spinors and Wigner functions as well as their constants of motion are also obtained within the autonomous framework of deformation quantization.

Killing-Yano Forms of a Class of Spherically Symmetric Space-Times I: A Unified Generation of Killing Vector Fields

Killing-Yano one forms (duals of Killing vector fields) of a class of spherically symmetric space-times characterized by four functions are derived in a unified and exhaustive way. For well-known space-times such as those of Minkowski, Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordstrom, Robertson-Walker and several forms of de Sitter, these forms arise as special cases in a natural way. Besides its two well-known forms, four more forms of de Sitter space-time are also established with ten independent Killing vector fields for which four different time evolution regimes can explicitly be specified by the symmetry requirement. A family of space-times in which metric characterizing functions are of the general form and admitting six or seven independent Killing vector fields is presented.

Killing-Yano Forms of a Class of Spherically Symmetric Space-Times II: A Unified Generation of Higher Forms

Killing-Yano (KY) two and three forms of a class of spherically symmetric space-times that includes the well-known Minkowski, Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordstrom, Robertson-Walker and six different forms of de Sitter space-times as special cases are derived in a unified and exhaustive manner. It is directly proved that while the Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordstrom space-times do not accept any KY 3-form and they accept only one 2-form, the Robertson-Walker space-time admits four KY 2-forms and only one KY 3-form. Maximal number of KY-forms are obtained for Minkowski and all known forms of de Sitter space-times. Complete lists comprising explicit expressions of KY-forms are given.

Wigner functions, coherent states, one-dimensional marginal probabilities and uncertainty structures of Landau levels

Following an approach based on generating function method phase space characteristics of Landau system are studied in the autonomous framework of deformation quantization. Coherent state property of generating functions is established and marginal probability densities along canonical coordinate lines are derived. Well defined analogs of inner product, Cauchy-Bunyakowsy-Schwarz inequality and state functional have been defined in phase space and they have been used in analyzing the uncertainty structures. The general form of the uncertainty relation for two real-valued functions is derived and uncertainty products are computed in states described by Wigner functions. Minimum uncertainty state property of the standard coherent states is presented and uncertainty structures in the case of phase space generalized coherent states are analyzed.

Autonomous generation of all Wigner functions and marginal probability densities of Landau levels

Generation of Wigner functions of Landau levels and determination of their symmetries and generic properties are achieved in the autonomous framework of deformation quantization. Transformation properties of diagonal Wigner functions under space inversion, time reversal and parity transformations are specified and their invariance under a four-parameter subgroup of symplectic transformations are established. A generating function for all Wigner functions is developed and this has been identified as the phase-space coherent state for Landau levels. Integrated forms of generating function are used in generating explicit expressions of marginal probability densities on all possible two dimensional phase-space planes. Phase-space realization of unitary similarity and gauge transformations as well as some general implications for the Wigner function theory are presented.

Superintegrable Systems, Multi-Hamiltonian Structures and Nambu Mechanics in an Arbitrary Dimension

A general algebraic condition for the functional independence of 2n-1 constants of motion of an n-dimensional maximal superintegrable Hamiltonian system has been proved for an arbitrary finite n. This makes it possible to construct, in a well-defined generic way, a normalized Nambu bracket which produces the correct Hamiltonian time evolution. Existence and explicit forms of pairwise compatible multi-Hamiltonian structures for any maximal superintegrable system have been established. The Calogero-Moser system, motion of a charged particle in a uniform perpendicular magnetic field and Smorodinsky-Winternitz potentials are considered as illustrative applications and their symmetry algebras as well as their Nambu formulations and alternative Poisson structures are presented.

Two families of superintegrable and isospectral potentials in two dimensions

As an extension of the intertwining operator idea, an algebraic method which provides a link between supersymmetric quantum mechanics and quantum (super)integrability is introduced. By realization of the method in two dimensions, two infinite families of superintegrable and isospectral stationary potentials are generated. The method makes it possible to perform Darboux transformations in such a way that, in addition to the isospectral property, they acquire the superintegrability preserving property. Symmetry generators are second and fourth order in derivatives and all potentials are isospectral with one of the Smorodinsky-Winternitz potentials. Explicit expressions of the potentials, their dynamical symmetry generators and the algebra they obey as well as their degenerate spectra and corresponding normalizable states are presented.

Intertwined isospectral potentials in an arbitrary dimension

The method of intertwining with n-dimensional (nD) linear intertwining operator L is used to construct nD isospectral, stationary potentials. It has been proven that differential part of L is a series in Euclidean algebra generators. Integrability conditions of the consistency equations are investigated and the general form of a class of potentials respecting all these conditions have been specified for each n=2,3,4,5. The most general forms of 2D and 3D isospectral potentials are considered in detail and construction of their hierarchies is exhibited. The followed approach provides coordinate systems which make it possible to perform separation of variables and to apply the known methods of supersymmetric quantum mechanics for 1D systems. It has been shown that in choice of coordinates and L there are a number of alternatives increasing with $n$ that enlarge the set of available potentials. Some salient features of higher dimensional extension as well as some applications of the results are presented.

Formulation of the Classical Mechanics in the Ring of Operators

By making use of the Weyl-Wigner-Groenewold-Moyal association rules, a commutative product and a new quantum bracket are constructed in the ring of operators \cal{F}(H). In this way, an isomorphism between Lie algebra of classical observables (with Poisson bracket) and the Lie algebra of quantum observables with this new bracket is established. By these observations, a formulation of the classical mechanics in \cal{F}(H} is obtained and is shown to be \hbar\to 0 limit of the Heisenberg picture formulation of the quantum mechanics.

Metaplectic Covariance of the Weyl-Wigner-Groenewold-Moyal Quantization and Beyond

The metaplectic covariance for all forms of the Weyl-Wigner-Groenewold-Moyal quantization is established with different realizations of the inhomogeneous symplectic algebra. Beyond that, in its most general form $W_{\infty}$ -covariance of this quantization scheme is investigated, and explicit expressions for the quantum-deformed Hamiltonian vector fields are presented. In a general basis the structure constants of the $W_{\infty}$-algebra are obtained and its subalgebras are analyzed.

W(infty)-Covariance of the Weyl-Wigner-Groenewold-Moyal Quantization

The differential structure of operator bases used in various forms of the Weyl-Wigner-Groenewold-Moyal (WWGM) quantization is analyzed and a derivative-based approach, alternative to the conventional integral-based one is developed. Thus the fundamental quantum relations follow in a simpler and unified manner. An explicit formula for the ordered products of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra is obtained. The W(infty) -covariance of the WWGM-quantization in its most general form is established. It is shown that the group action of W(infty) that is realized in the classical phase space induces on bases operators in the corresponding Hilbert space a similarity transformation generated by the corresponding quantum W(infty) which provides a projective representation of the former $W_{\infty}$. Explicit expressions for the algebra generators in the classical phase space and in the Hilbert space are given. It is made manifest that this W(infty)-covariance of the WWGM-quantization is a genuine property of the operator bases.
