Elliptic solutions of the Toda lattice with constraint of type B and deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system

We study elliptic solutions of the recently introduced Toda lattice with the constraint of type B and derive equations of motion for their poles. The dynamics of poles is given by the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system. We find its commutation representation in the form of the Manakov triple and study properties of the spectral curve. By studying more general elliptic solutions (elliptic families), we also suggest an extension of the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system to a field theory.

On integrability of the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system

We find integrals of motion for the recently introduced deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider many-body system which is the dynamical system for poles of elliptic solutions to the Toda lattice with constraint of type B. Our method is based on the fact that equations of motion for this system coincide with those for pairs of Ruijsenaars-Schneider particles which stick together preserving a special fixed distance between the particles.

Time discretization of the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system

We obtain Bäcklund transformations and integrable time discretization of the recently introduced deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider many-body system which is the dynamical system for poles of elliptic solutions to the Toda lattice with constraint of type B. We also show that the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system in discrete time is the dynamical system for poles of elliptic solutions to the fully discrete Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation of type B. Besides, we suggest a field analogue of the deformed Ruijsenaars-Schneider system on a space-time lattice.

Monodromy free linear equations and many-body systems

We further develop the approach to many-body systems based on finding conditions of existence of meromorphic solutions to certain linear partial differential and difference equations which serve as auxiliary linear problems for nonlinear integrable equations such as KP, BKP, CKP and different versions of the Toda lattice. These conditions imply equations of the time evolution for poles of singular solutions to the nonlinear equations which are equations of motion for integrable many-body systems of Calogero-Moser and Ruijsenaars-Schneider type. A new many-body system is introduced, which governs dynamics of poles of elliptic solutions to the Toda lattice of type B.

Dyson diffusion on a curved contour

We define the Dyson diffusion process on a curved smooth closed contour in the plane and derive the Fokker-Planck equation for probability density. Its stationary solution is shown to be the Boltzmann weight for the logarithmic gas confined on the contour.

Toda lattice with constraint of type B

We introduce a new integrable hierarchy of nonlinear differential-difference equations which is a subhierarchy of the 2D Toda lattice defined by imposing a constraint to the Lax operators of the latter. The 2D Toda lattice with the constraint can be regarded as a discretization of the BKP hierarchy. We construct its algebraic-geometrical solutions in terms of Riemann and Prym theta-functions.

Scalar products of Bethe vectors in the 8-vertex model

We obtain a determinant representation of normalized scalar products of on-shell and off-shell Bethe vectors in the inhomogeneous 8-vertex model. We consider the case of rational anisotropy parameter and use the generalized algebraic Bethe ansatz approach. Our method is to obtain a system of linear equations for the scalar products, prove its solvability and solve it in terms of determinants of explicitly known matrices.

Dyson gas on a curved contour

We introduce and study a model of a logarithmic gas with inverse temperature $β$ on an arbitrary smooth closed contour in the plane. This model generalizes Dyson's gas (the $β$-ensemble) on the unit circle. We compute the non-vanishing terms of the large $N$ expansion of the free energy ($N$ is the number of particles) by iterating the "loop equation" that is the Ward identity with respect to reparametrizations and dilatation of the contour. We show that the main contribution to the free energy is expressed through the spectral determinant of the Neumann jump operator associated with the contour, or equivalently through the Fredholm determinant of the Neumann-Poincare (double layer) operator. This result connects the statistical mechanics of the Dyson gas to the spectral geometry of the interior and exterior domains of the supporting contour.

Elliptic families of solutions to constrained Toda hierarchy

We study elliptic families of solutions to the recently introduced constrained Toda hierarchy, i.e., solutions which are elliptic functions of some linear combination of the hierarchical times. Equations of motion for poles of such solutions are obtained.

Constrained Toda hierarchy and turning points of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider model

We introduce a new integrable hierarchy of nonlinear differential-difference equations which we call constrained Toda hierarchy (C-Toda). It can be regarded as a certain subhierarchy of the 2D Toda lattice obtained by imposing the constraint $\bar {\cal L}={\cal L}^†$ on the two Lax operators (in the symmetric gauge). We prove the existence of the tau-function of the C-Toda hierarchy and show that it is the square root of the 2D Toda lattice tau-function. In this and some other respects the C-Toda is a Toda analogue of the CKP hierarchy. It is also shown that zeros of the tau-function of elliptic solutions satisfy the dynamical equations of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider model restricted to turning points in the phase space. The spectral curve has holomorphic involution which interchange the marked points in which the Baker-Akhiezer function has essential singularities.

Elliptic solutions to matrix KP hierarchy and spin generalization of elliptic Calogero-Moser model

We consider solutions of the matrix KP hierarchy that are elliptic functions of the first hierarchical time $t_1=x$. It is known that poles $x_i$ and matrix residues at the poles $ρ_i^{αβ}=a_i^αb_i^β$ of such solutions as functions of the time $t_2$ move as particles of spin generalization of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model (elliptic Gibbons-Hermsen model). In this paper we establish the correspondence with the spin elliptic Calogero-Moser model for the whole matrix KP hierarchy. Namely, we show that the dynamics of poles and matrix residues of the solutions with respect to the $k$-th hierarchical time of the matrix KP hierarchy is Hamiltonian with the Hamiltonian $H_k$ obtained via an expansion of the spectral curve near the marked points. The Hamiltonians are identified with the Hamiltonians of the elliptic spin Calogero-Moser system with coordinates $x_i$ and spin degrees of freedom $a_i^α, \, b_i^β$.

Elliptic solutions to Toda lattice hierarchy and elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider model

We consider solutions of the 2D Toda lattice hierarchy which are elliptic functions of the zeroth time t_0=x. It is known that their poles as functions of t_1 move as particles of the elliptic Ruijsenaars-Schneider model. The goal of this paper is to extend this correspondence to the level of hierarchies. We show that the Hamiltonians which govern the dynamics of poles with respect to the m-th hierarchical times t_m and \bar t_m of the 2D Toda lattice hierarchy are obtained from expansion of the spectral curve for the Lax matrix of the Ruijsenaars-Schneider model at the marked points.

Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchies of types B and C

This is a short review of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchies of types B and C. The main objects are the $L$-operator, the wave operator, the auxiliary linear problems for the wave function, the bilinear identity for the wave function and the tau-function. All of them are discussed in the paper. The connections with the usual Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchy (of the type A) are clarified. Examples of soliton solutions and the dispersionless limit of the hierarchies are also considered.

Elliptic solutions to the KP hierarchy and elliptic Calogero-Moser model

We consider solutions of the KP hierarchy which are elliptic functions of $x=t_1$. It is known that their poles as functions of $t_2$ move as particles of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model. We extend this correspondence to the level of hierarchies and find the Hamiltonian $H_k$ of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model which governs the dynamics of poles with respect to the $k$-th hierarchical time. The Hamiltonians $H_k$ are obtained as coefficients of the expansion of the spectral curve near the marked point in which the Baker-Akhiezer function has essential singularity.

How Calogero-Moser particles can stick together

We show that the configuration in the phase space of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model when particles stick together in pairs is stable under the third Hamiltonian flow of the model. The equations of motion for the pairs coincide with the equations of motion for poles of elliptic solutions to the B-version of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation.

Loewner equations and reductions of dispersionless hierarchies

The equations of Loewner type can be derived in two very different contexts: one of them is complex analysis and the theory of parametric conformal maps and the other one is the theory of integrable systems. In this paper we compare the both approaches. After recalling the derivation of Löwner equations based on complex analysis we review one- and multi-variable reductions of dispersionless integrable hierarhies (dKP, dBKP, dToda, and dDKP). The one-vaiable reductions are described by solutions of different versions of Loewner equation: chordal (rational) for dKP, quadrant for dBKP, radial (trigonometric) for dToda and elliptic for DKP. We also discuss multi-variable reductions which are given by a system of Loewner equations supplemented by a system of partial differential equations of hydrodynamic type. The solvability of the hydrodynamic type system can be proved by means of the generalized hodograph method.

Kadomtsev-Petviashvili turning points and CKP hierarchy

A characterization of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchy of type C (CKP) in terms of the KP tau-function is given. Namely, we prove that the CKP hierarchy can be identified with the restriction of odd times flows of the KP hierarchy on the locus of turning points of the second flow. The notion of CKP tau-function is clarified and connected with the KP tau function. Algebraic-geometrical solutions and in particular elliptic solutions are discussed in detail. The new identity for theta-functions of curves with holomorphic involution having fixed points is obtained.

Quantum-classical correspondence for gl(1|1) supersymmetric Gaudin magnet with boundary

We extend duality between the quantum integrable Gaudin models with boundary and the classical Calogero-Moser systems associated with root systems of classical Lie algebras $B_N$, $C_N$, $D_N$ to the case of supersymmetric ${\rm gl}(m|n)$ Gaudin models with $m+n=2$. Namely, we show that the spectra of quantum Hamiltonians for all such magnets being identified with the classical particles velocities provide the zero level of the classical action variables.
