Semantic Matching of Security Policies to Support Security Experts

Management of security policies has become increasingly difficult given the number of domains to manage, taken into consideration their extent and their complexity. Security experts has to deal with a variety of frameworks and specification languages used in different domains that may belong to any Cloud Computing or Distributed Systems. This wealth of frameworks and languages make the management task and the interpretation of the security policies so difficult. Each approach provides its own conflict management method or tool, the security expert will be forced to manage all these tools, which makes the field maintenance and time consuming expensive. In order to hide this complexity and to facilitate some security experts tasks and automate the others, we propose a security policies aligning based on ontologies process; this process enables to detect and resolve security policies conflicts and to support security experts in managing tasks.

Integration of SOA and Cloud Computing in RM-ODP

The objective of ODP is according to ITU-T Recommendation X.901 stated as follows: The objective of ODP standardization is the development of standards that allow the benefits of distributing information processing services to be realized in an environment of heterogeneous IT resources and multiple organizational domains. These standards address constraints on system specification and the provision of a system infrastructure that accommodate difficulties inherent in the design and programming of distributed systems. This objective seems to cover cloud computing systems. Therefore, we in this paper discuss the concepts of cloud, and discuss the use of RM-ODP for specifying the solution. We indicate that the current RM-ODP may be too abstract for the purpose, and indicate how to adapt RM-ODP to fit the purpose

Semantic integration process of business components to support information system designers

The present work is inscribed within the intersection of two scientific thematic: the engineering by reuse of components and ontologies alignment. The integration of Business Components (BC) is a research problem that has been identified in the field of engineering by reuse. Our proposal aims to provide assistance to designers of information systems in the integration phase. It is a process guided by domain ontology to provide semantic integration of BC. This process allows the detection and resolution of semantic conflicts naming type encountered in the process of integration of BC.

Semantic conflict resolution for integration of business components

Reusing and integrating Business Components in a new Information System requires detection and resolution of semantic conflicts. Moreover, most of integration and semantic conflict resolution systems rely on ontology alignment methods based on domain ontology. This work is positioned at the intersection of two research areas: Integration of reusable B C and alignment of ontologies for semantic conflict resolution. Our contribution concerns both the proposal of a BC integration solution based on ontologies alignment and a method for enriching the domain ontology used as a support for alignment

An Ontology-Based Method for Semantic Integration of Business Components

Building new business information systems from reusable components is today an approach widely adopted and used. Using this approach in analysis and design phases presents a great interest and requires the use of a particular class of components called Business Components (BC). Business Components are today developed by several manufacturers and are available in many repositories. However, reusing and integrating them in a new Information System requires detection and resolution of semantic conflicts. Moreover, most of integration and semantic conflict resolution systems rely on ontology alignment methods based on domain ontology. This work is positioned at the intersection of two research areas: Integration of reusable Business Components and alignment of ontologies for semantic conflict resolution. Our contribution concerns both the proposal of a BC integration solution based on ontologies alignment and a method for enriching the domain ontology used as a support for alignment.

Towards an architecture for semantic integration of business components

Today, reusable components are available in several repositorys. These are certainly conceived for re-use. However, this re-use is not immediate, it requires, in effect, to pass by some essential conceptual operations, among which in particular, research, integration, adaptation, and composition. We are interested in the present work to the problem of semantic integration of heterogeneous Business Components. This problem is often put in syntactical terms, while the real stake is of semantic order. Our contribution concerns an architecture proposal for Business components integration and a resolution method of semantic naming conflicts, met during the integration of Business Components

A model for semantic integration of business components
