Performance of a SuperCDMS HVeV Detector with Sub-eV Energy Resolution and Single Charge-sensitivity

We present a detailed characterization of a new generation of athermal-phonon single-charge sensitive Si HVeV detectors, the best of which achieved 589~meV~$\pm$~5~meV baseline resolution. Our sub-eV energy resolution enables precise measurements of single-photon events and reveal consistent energy losses of 0.92~eV~$\pm$~0.02~eV per charge excitation across two facilities. We demonstrate that the noise for these detectors is well described using a standard Transition Edge Sensor noise model. We also measure a nominal phonon collection efficiency of 45\%~$\pm$~3\%~(stat.)~$\pm$~6\%~(syst.) in the best performing device, establishing these detectors as the most efficient athermal phonon detectors to date, limited only by intrinsic limitations of quasiparticle generation.

Noise Modeling and Calibration of a Two-Stage Cryogenic Charge Amplifier for the SPLENDOR Experiment

The SPLENDOR Collaboration studies novel narrow-gap semiconductors and engineered a substrate agnostic detector platform to achieve $\mathcal{O}$(meV) energy sensitivity designed for low mass dark matter searches. This was achieved using low-capacitance and low-noise commercial CryoHEMTs in a split-stage topology integrated throughout a dilution refrigerator. Designed with a source-follower HEMT at the base temperature stage and a voltage amplifier at 4\,K, this amplifier has input-limited voltage noise of 10 $\text{nV}/\sqrt{\text{Hz}}$ and current noise of 100 $\text{aA}/\sqrt{\text{Hz}}$ at 1kHz. In agreement with this noise level and a photon calibration, this amplifier has a $\text{19} \pm \text{4} $ electron resolution.

A Search for Low-mass Dark Matter via Bremsstrahlung Radiation and the Migdal Effect in SuperCDMS

In this paper, we present a re-analysis of SuperCDMS data using a profile likelihood approach to search for sub-GeV dark matter particles (DM) through two inelastic scattering channels: bremsstrahlung radiation and the Migdal effect. By considering possible inelastic scattering channels, experimental sensitivity can be extended to DM masses that would otherwise be undetectable through the DM-nucleon elastic scattering channel, given the energy threshold of current experiments. We exclude DM masses down to $220~\textrm{MeV}/c^2$ at $2.7 \times 10^{-30}~\textrm{cm}^2$ via the bremsstrahlung channel. The Migdal channel search excludes DM masses down to $30~\textrm{MeV}/c^2$ at $5.0 \times 10^{-30}~\textrm{cm}^2$.

Quadrature operator eigenstates and wavefunctions of $f$-deformed oscillators

This paper is dedicated to finding the quadrature operator eigenstates and wavefunctions of the most general $f$-deformed oscillators. A definition for quadrature operator for deformed algebra is derived to obtain the quadrature operator eigenstates. A new set of polynomials are obtained using this quadrature operator and these polynomials are used to find explicitly the wavefunctions of the deformed oscillators. We have plotted wavefunctions for three different types of deformations and compared it with the wavefunctions of the non-deformed oscillator. Our result will immensely help the research groups working in the quantum state reconstruction and quantum information theory of deformed states.

Coupled $\mathcal{N}$ = 2 supersymmetric quantum systems: symmetries and supervariable approach

We consider specific examples of $\mathcal{N}$ = 2 supersymmetric quantum mechanical models and list out all the novel symmetries. In each case, we show the existence of two sets of discrete symmetries that correspond to the Hodge duality operator of differential geometry. Thus, we are able to provide a proof of the conjecture which endorses the existence of more than one discrete symmetry transformation as the analogue of Hodge duality operation. Finally, we extend our analysis to a more general case and derive on-shell nilpotent symmetries within the framework of supervariable approach.

Revisiting Novel Symmetries in Coupled $\mathcal{N} = 2$ Supersymmetric Quantum Systems: Examples and Supervariable Approach

We revisit the novel symmetries in $\mathcal{N}$ = 2 supersymmetric (SUSY) quantum mechanical (QM) models by considering specific examples of coupled systems. Further, we extend our analysis to a general case and list out all the novel symmetries. In each case, we show the existence of two sets of discrete symmetries that correspond to the Hodge duality operator of differential geometry. Thus, we are able to provide a proof of the conjecture which points out the existence of more than one set of discrete symmetry transformations corresponding to the Hodge duality operator. Moreover, we derive on-shell nilpotent symmetries for a generalized superpotential within the framework of supervariable approach.

Dynamics of observables in a $q$-deformed harmonic oscillator

Chaos in classical systems has been studied in plenty over many years. Although the search for chaos in quantum systems has been an area of prominent research over the last few decades, the detailed analysis of many inherently chaotic quantum systems based on expectation values of dynamical variables has not been reported in the literature. In this paper, we extend the study of dynamical behaviour using expectation values of variables to a $q$-deformed harmonic oscillator. The system is found to be periodic, quasi-periodic or chaotic depending on the values of the deformation parameter $q$ and the deformed coherent amplitude $α_{q}$, thus enabling us to explicitly classify the chaotic nature of the system on the basis of these parameters. The chaotic properties of the system are clearly illustrated through recurrence plots, power spectra, first-return-time distributions and Lyapunov exponents of the time series obtained for the expectation values of the dynamic variables.
