Generators of Local Lorentz Transformation in ADM-Vielbein Formalism of Gravitational Relativity

General relativity contains 16 variables in the framework of ADM-Vielbein formalism which are 6 more than metric formalism. These variables emerge due to additional symmetry of Local Lorentz Transformations. In the framework of the Hamiltonian approach, it is expected to find first class constraints which generate this gauge symmetry. We introduce the complete form of such constraints and show that they exactly obey the algebra of the Lorentz group.

Constraint structure of the Generalized Proca model in the Lagrangian formalism

We present a new Lagrangian approach for the dynamical structure of the generalized Proca theory (GP). This approach includes the A-Z constraint structure of the model in the Lagrangian formalism and ends up with an accurate count of the number of degrees of freedom. We also give the complete Hamiltonian constraint structure of the model.

Hamiltonian Structure of Fierz-Pauli Gravitons, Partially Massless Fields and Gauge Symmetry

We study the constraint structure of Fierz -Pauli action in both flat and curved space in the framework of Hamiltonian formalism. We observe an abrupt change in the constraint algebra and the characteristics of the constraints when the mass term is turned off. As is well-known, for de Sitter background with a special tuning of the mass, we will have a gauge symmetry and one degree of freedom less. We will show how this abrupt change in the behavior of the system is reflected on the properties of the constraint algebra. We also obtain the generating functional of gauge transformations both for the massless and partially massless theories.

Hamiltonian formalism of the ghost free Tri(-Multi)gravity theory

We study the Hamiltonian structure of tri-gravity and four-gravity in the framework of ADM decomposition of the corresponding metrics. Hence we can deduce the general structure of the constraint system of multi-gravity. We will show it is possible and consistent to assume additional constraints which provide the needed first class constraints for generating diffeomorphism as well as enough second class constraints to omit the ghosts.

Gauge generator for bi-gravity and multi-gravity models

Following the Hamiltonian structure of bi-gravity and multi-gravity models in the full phase space, we have constructed the generating functional of diffeomorphism gauge symmetry. As is expected, this generator is constructed from the first class constraints of the system. We show that this gauge generator works well in giving the gauge transformations of the canonical variables.

Structure of Constrained Systems in Lagrangian Formalism and Degree of Freedom Count

A detailed program is proposed in the Lagrangian formalism to investigate the dynamical behavior of a theory with singular Lagrangian. This program goes on, at different levels, parallel to the Hamiltonian analysis. In particular, we introduce the notions of first class and second class Lagrangian constraints. We show each sequence of first class constraints leads to a Neother identity and consequently to a gauge transformation. We give a general formula for counting the dynamical variables in Lagrangian formalism. As the main advantage of Lagrangian approach, we show the whole procedure can also be performed covariantly. Several examples are given to make our Lagrangian approach clear.

Hamiltonian structure of bi-gravity, problem of ghost and bifurcation

We analyze the Hamiltonian structure of a general theory of bi-gravity where the interaction term is a scalar function of the form $ V(\mathcal{X}^{n}) $ where $ \mathcal{X} $ may be $\sqrt{g^{-1}f} $ or $ g^{-1}f $. We give necessary conditions for the interaction term of such a theory to be ghost free. We give a precise constraint analysis of the bi-gravity theory of Hassan- Rosen and show that the additional constraint which omit the ghost is just one possibility at the bifurcation point.

Dynamical Structure of the Fields in the Light Cone Coordinates

It is well-known that additional constraints emerge in light cone coordinates. We enumerate the number of physical modes in light cone coordinates and compare it with conventional coordinates. We show that the number of Schrodinger modes is divided by two in light cone coordinates. We study the effect of this reduction in the number ladder operators acting on physical states of a system. We analyse the scaler, spinor and vector field theories carefully to see the effect of changes in the dynamical structure of these theories from the view point of the reduction of Schrodinger modes in light-cone coordinates.

Entanglement entropy and complexity of singular subregions in deformed CFT

In the framework of the AdS/CFT correspondence, imposing a scalar field in the bulk space-time leads to deform the corresponding CFT in the boundary, which may produce corrections to entanglement entropy, as well as the so-called subregion complexity. We have computed such corrections for a set of singular subregions including kink, cones and creases in different dimensions. Our calculations shows new singular terms including universal logarithmic corrections for entanglement entropy and subregion complexity for some distinct values of conformal weight.

Massive gravity, canonical structure and gauge symmetry

Performing Hamiltonian analysis of the massive gravity [9] in full phase space, we see that the theory is ghost free. We also see in a more clear way that this result is intrinsic of the interaction term and does not depend on the variables involved. Since no first class constraint emerges, the theory seems to lack gauge symmetry. We show that this is due to the presence of an auxiliary field, and the symmetry may be manifest in the Stuckelberg formulation. We give the generating functional of gauge transformation in this model.

Hamiltonian structure of three-dimensional gravity in Vielbein formalism

Considering Chern-Simons like gravity theories in three dimensions as first order systems, we analyze the Hamiltonian structure of three theories Topological massive gravity, New massive gravity, and Zwei-Dreibein Gravity. We show that these systems demonstrate a new feature of the constrained systems in which a new kind of constraints emerge due to factorization of determinant of the matrix of Poisson brackets of constraints. We find the desired number of degrees of freedom as well as the generating functional of local Lorentz transformations and diffeomorphism through canonical structure of the system. We also compare the Hamiltonian structure of linearized version of the considered models with the original ones.

New Bi-Gravities

We show that the problem of ghosts in critical gravity and its higher dimensional extensions can be resolved by giving dynamics to the symmetric rank two auxiliary field existing in the action of these theories. These New Bi-Gravities, at linear level around the AdS vacuum, are free of Boulware-Deser ghost, kinetic ghost and tachyonic instability within the particular range of parameters. Moreover, we show that the energy and entropy of AdS-Schwarzschild black hole solutions of these new models are positive in the same range of parameters. This may be the sign that these new models are also free of ghost instabilities at the non-linear level.

Holographic Subregion Complexity for Singular Surfaces

Recently holographic prescriptions are proposed to compute quantum complexity of a given state in the boundary theory. A specific proposal known as `holographic subregion complexity' is supposed to calculate the the complexity of a reduced density matrix corresponding to a static subregion. We study different families of singular subregions in the dual field theory and find the divergence structure and universal terms of holographic subregion complexity for these singular surfaces. We find that there are new universal terms, logarithmic in the UV cutoff, due to the singularities of a family of surfaces including a kink in (2+1)-dimension and cones in even dimensional field theories. We find examples of new divergent terms such as square logarithm and negative powers times the logarithm of the UV cut-off parameter.

New Bi-Gravity from New Massive Garvity

Using the action of three dimensional New Massive Gravity (NMG) we construct a new bi-gravity in three dimensions. This can be done by promoting the rank two auxiliary field appearing in the expression of NMG's action into a dynamical field. We show that small fluctuations around the AdS vacuum of the model are non-tachyonic and ghost free within certain range of the parameters of the model. We study central charges of the dual field theory and observe that in this range they are positive too. This suggests that the proposed model might be a consistent three dimensional bi-gravity.

A Generalized Model for the Classical Relativistic Spinning Particle

Following the Poincare algebra for a free spinning particle and using the Casimirs of the algebra in the Hamiltonian approach, we construct systematically a set of Lagrangians for the relativistic spinning particle which includes the Lagrangian given in the literature. Then we analyze the dynamics of this generalized system in the Lagrangian formulation and show that the equations of motion support an oscillatory solution corresponding to the spinning nature of the system. Next we analyze the canonical structure of the system and present the correct gauge suitable for the spinning motion of the system.

Holographic Renormalization of 3D Minimal Massive Gravity

We study holographic renormalization of 3D minimal massive gravity using the Chern-Simons-like formulation of the model. We explicitly present Gibbons- Hawking term as well as all counterterms needed to make the action finite in terms of dreibein and spin-connection. This can be used to find correlation functions of stress tensor of holographic dual field theory.

On 3D Minimal Massive Gravity

We study linearized equations of motion of the newly proposed three dimensional gravity, known as minimal massive gravity, using its metric formulation. We observe that the resultant linearized equations are exactly the same as that of TMG by making use of a redefinition of the parameters of the model. In particular the model admits logarithmic modes at the critical points. We also study several vacuum solutions of the model, specially at a certain limit where the contribution of Chern-Simons term vanishes.

Constraint structure and Hamiltonian treatment of Nappi-Witten model

We investigate the Hamiltonian analysis of Nappi-Witten model (WZW action based on non semi simple gauge group) and find a time dependent non-commutativity by canonical quantization. Our procedure is based on constraint analysis of the model in two parts. A first class analysis is used for gauge fixing the original model following by a second class analysis in which the boundary condition are treated as Dirac constraints. We find the reduced phase space by imposing our second class constraints on the variables in an extended Fourier space.
