Riemann-Hilbert problems for a nonlocal reverse-spacetime Sasa-Satsuma hierarchy of a fifth-order equation and its soliton solutions

We aim to present and analyze a nonlinear nonlocal reverse-spacetime fifth-order scalar Sasa-Satsuma equation, based on a nonlocal $5 \times 5$ matrix AKNS spectral problem. Starting from a nonlocal matrix AKNS spectral problem, local and nonlocal symmetry relations are derived from a group of rotations. A kind of Riemann-Hilbert problem is formulated, which allows to generate soliton solutions by using vectors lying in the kernel of the matrix Jost solutions. When reflection coefficients are zeros, the jump matrix is the identity and the corresponding Riemann-Hilbert problem yields soliton solutions, whose explicit formulas enable us to explore their dynamics.

Riemann-Hilbert problems of a non-local reverse-time AKNS system of six-order and dynamical behaviours of $N$-soliton

In this paper, we are going to solve nonlinear nonlocal reverse-time six-component six-order AKNS system. We used reverse-time reduction to reduce the coupled system to an integrable six-order NLS-type equation. Starting from the spectral problem of the AKNS system, a Riemann-Hilbert problem will be formulated. This formulation allows to generate soliton solutions by using the vectors lying in the kernel of the matrix Jost solutions. When reflection coefficients are zeros, the jump matrix is identity and the corresponding Riemann-Hilbert problem yields soliton solutions, leading to explore their dynamics.

Integrable spinor/quaternion generalizations of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation

An integrable generalization of the NLS equation is presented, in which the dynamical complex variable $u(t,x)$ is replaced by a pair of dynamical complex variables $(u_1(t,x),u_2(t,x))$, and $i$ is replaced by a Pauli matrix $J$. Integrability is retained by the addition of a nonlocal term in the resulting 2-component system. A further integrable generalization is obtained which involves a dynamical scalar variable and an additional nonlocal term. For each system, a Lax pair and a bi-Hamiltonian formulation are derived from a zero-curvature framework that is based on symmetric Lie algebras and that uses Hasimoto variables. The systems are each shown to be equivalent to a bi-normal flow and a Schrodinger map equation, generalizing the well-known equivalence of the NLS equation to the bi-normal flow in $R^3$ and the Schrodinger map equation in $S^2$. Furthermore, both of the integrable systems describe spinor/quaternion NLS-type equations with the pair $(u_1(t,x),u_2(t,x))$ being viewed as a spinor variable or equivalently a quaternion variable.

Unitarily-invariant integrable systems and geometric curve flows in $SU(n+1)/U(n)$ and $SO(2n)/U(n)$

Bi-Hamiltonian hierarchies of soliton equations are derived from geometric non-stretching (inelastic) curve flows in the Hermitian symmetric spaces $SU(n+1)/U(n)$ and $SO(2n)/U(n)$. The derivation uses Hasimoto variables defined by a moving parallel frame along the curves. As main results, new integrable multi-component versions of the Sine-Gordon (SG) equation and the modified Korteveg-de Vries (mKdV) equation, as well as a novel nonlocal multi-component version of the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation are obtained, along with their bi-Hamiltonian structures and recursion operators. These integrable systems are unitarily invariant and correspond to geometric curve flows given by a non-stretching wave map and a mKdV analog of a non-stretching Schrödinger map in the case of the SG and mKdV systems, and a generalization of the vortex filament bi-normal equation in the case of the NLS systems.
