Free Bakry--\'{E}mery Calculus

We prove a free probabilistic Bakry--\'{E}mery criterion for logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and hypercontractivity. Our approach relies on a noncommutative version of the carr\'{e} du champ operator and its iteration, which we are able to define in the free probability setting. This allows us to formulate a positive curvature condition, which is shown to be sufficient for logarithmic Sobolev inequalities and hypercontractivity in this setting. In the setting of free Gibbs measures, we also show that this curvature condition can be expressed in terms of the positivity of the Hessian of the associated potential.

Noncommutative Regularity Structures

We extend the theory of regularity structures [Hai14] to allow processes belonging to locally $m$-convex topological algebras. This extension includes processes in the locally $C^{*}$-algebras of [CHP25] used to localise singular stochastic partial differential equations involving fermions, as well as processes in Banach algebras such as infinite-dimensional semicircular\circular Brownian motion, and more generally the $q$-Gaussians of [BS91, BKS97, Bo\.z99]. A new challenge we encounter in the $q$-Gaussian setting with $q \in (-1,1)$ are noncommutative renormalisation estimates where we must estimate operators in homogeneous $q$-Gaussian chaoses with arbitrary operator insertions. We introduce a new Banach algebra norm on $q$-Gaussian operators that allows us to control such insertions; we believe this construction could be of independent interest.

Non-Gaussianity of invariant measures to SPDEs in Da Prato-Debussche regime

We propose an elementary method to show non-Gaussianity of invariant measures of parabolic stochastic partial differential equations with polynomial non-linearities in the Da Prato--Debussche regime. The approach is essentially algebraic and involves using the generator equation of the SPDE at stationarity. Our results in particular cover the $\Phi^4_\delta$ measures in dimensions $\delta<\frac{14}{5}$, which includes cases where the invariant measure is singular with respect to the invariant measure of the linear solution.

Rough differential equations in the flow approach

We show how the flow approach of Duch, with elementary differentials as coordinates, can be used to prove well-posedness for rough stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motion with Hurst index $H > \frac{1}{4}$. A novelty appearing here is that we use coordinates for the flow that are indexed by trees rather than multi-indices.

Rough geometric integration

We introduce a notion of distributional $k$-forms on $d$-dimensional manifolds which can be integrated against suitably regular $k$-submanifolds. Our approach combines ideas from Whitney's geometric integration [Whi57] with those of sewing approaches to rough integration [Gub04, FdLP06].

A priori bounds for 2-d generalised Parabolic Anderson Model

We show a priori bounds for solutions to $(\partial_t - \Delta) u = \sigma (u) \xi$ in finite volume in the framework of Hairer's Regularity Structures [Invent Math 198:269--504, 2014]. We assume $\sigma \in C_b^2 (\mathbb{R})$ and that $\xi$ is of negative H\"older regularity of order $- 1 - \kappa$ where $\kappa < \bar{\kappa}$ for an explicit $\bar{\kappa}< 1/3$, and that it can be lifted to a model in the sense of Regularity Structures. Our main results guarantee non-explosion of the solution in finite time and a growth which is at most polynomial in $t > 0$. Our estimates imply global well-posedness for the 2-d generalised parabolic Anderson model on the torus, as well as for the parabolic quantisation of the Sine-Gordon Euclidean Quantum Field Theory (EQFT) on the torus in the regime $\beta^2 \in (4 \pi, (1 + \bar{\kappa}) 4 \pi)$. We also consider the parabolic quantisation of a massive Sine-Gordon EQFT and derive estimates that imply the existence of the measure for the same range of $\beta$. Finally, our estimates apply to It\^o SPDEs in the sense of Da Prato-Zabczyk [Stochastic Equations in Infinite Dimensions, Enc. Math. App., Cambridge Univ. Press, 1992] and imply existence of a stochastic flow beyond the trace-class regime.

A flow approach to the generalized KPZ equation

We show that the flow approach of Duch [Duc21] can be adapted to prove local well-posedness for the generalized Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation. The key step is to extend the flow approach so that it can accommodate semi-linear equations involving smooth, non-polynomial, functions of the solution - this is accomplished by introducing coordinates for the flow built out of elementary differentials.

A Stochastic Analysis Approach to Tensor Field Theories

We present two different arguments using stochastic analysis to construct super-renormalizable tensor field theories, namely the $\mathrm{T}^4_3$ and $\mathrm{T}^4_4$ models. The first approach is the construction of a Langevin dynamic combined with a PDE energy estimate while the second is an application of the variational approach of Barashkov and Gubinelli. By leveraging the melonic structure of divergences, regularising properties of non-local products, and controlling certain random operators, we demonstrate that for tensor field theories these arguments can be significantly simplified in comparison to what is required for $\Phi^4_d$ models.

A Dynamical Yukawa$_{2}$ Model

We prove local (in space and time) well-posedness for a mildly regularised version of the stochastic quantisation of the Yukawa$_{2}$ Euclidean field theory with a self-interacting boson. Our regularised dynamic is still singular but avoids non-local divergences, allowing us to use a version of the Da Prato--Debussche argument. This model is a test case for a non-commutative probability framework for formulating the kind of singular SPDEs arising in the stochastic quantisation of field theories mixing both bosons and fermions.

Gauge field marginal of an Abelian Higgs model

We study the gauge field marginal of an Abelian Higgs model with Villain action defined on a 2D lattice in finite volume. Our first main result, which holds for gauge theories on arbitrary finite graphs and does not assume that the structure group is Abelian, is a loop expansion of the Radon--Nikodym derivative of the law of the gauge field marginal with respect to that of the pure gauge theory. This expansion is similar to the one of Seiler but holds in greater generality and uses a different graph theoretic approach. Furthermore, we show ultraviolet stability for the gauge field marginal of the model in a fixed gauge. More specifically, we show that moments of the H{\"o}lder--Besov-type norms introduced in arXiv:1808.09196 are bounded uniformly in the lattice spacing. This latter result relies on a quantitative diamagnetic inequality that in turn follows from the loop expansion and elementary properties of Gaussian random variables.

Stochastic quantisation of Yang-Mills-Higgs in 3D

We define a state space and a Markov process associated to the stochastic quantisation equation of Yang-Mills-Higgs (YMH) theories. The state space $\mathcal{S}$ is a nonlinear metric space of distributions, elements of which can be used as initial conditions for the (deterministic and stochastic) YMH flow with good continuity properties. Using gauge covariance of the deterministic YMH flow, we extend gauge equivalence $\sim$ to $\mathcal{S}$ and thus define a quotient space of "gauge orbits" $\mathfrak{O}$. We use the theory of regularity structures to prove local in time solutions to the renormalised stochastic YMH flow. Moreover, by leveraging symmetry arguments in the small noise limit, we show that there is a unique choice of renormalisation counterterms such that these solutions are gauge covariant in law. This allows us to define a canonical Markov process on $\mathfrak{O}$ (up to a potential finite time blow-up) associated to the stochastic YMH flow.

A priori bounds for rough differential equations with a non-linear damping term

We consider a rough differential equation with a non-linear damping drift term: \begin{align*} dY(t) = - |Y|^{m-1} Y(t) dt + \sigma(Y(t)) dX(t), \end{align*} where $X$ is a branched rough path of arbitrary regularity $\alpha >0$, $m>1$ and where $\sigma$ is smooth and satisfies an $m$ and $\alpha$-dependent growth property. We show a strong a priori bound for $Y$, which includes the "coming down from infinity" property, i.e. the bound on $Y(t)$ for a fixed $t>0$ holds uniformly over all choices of initial datum $Y(0)$. The method of proof builds on recent work by Chandra, Moinat and Weber on a priori bounds for the $\phi^4$ SPDE in arbitrary subcritical dimension. A key new ingredient is an extension of the algebraic framework which permits to derive an estimate on higher order conditions of a coherent controlled rough path in terms of the regularity condition at lowest level.

Phase transitions for $\phi^4_3$

We establish a surface order large deviation estimate for the magnetisation of low temperature $\phi^4_3$. As a byproduct, we obtain a decay of spectral gap for its Glauber dynamics given by the $\phi^4_3$ singular stochastic PDE. Our main technical contributions are contour bounds for $\phi^4_3$, which extends 2D results by Glimm, Jaffe, and Spencer (1975). We adapt an argument by Bodineau, Velenik, and Ioffe (2000) to use these contour bounds to study phase segregation. The main challenge to obtain the contour bounds is to handle the ultraviolet divergences of $\phi^4_3$ whilst preserving the structure of the low temperature potential. To do this, we build on the variational approach to ultraviolet stability for $\phi^4_3$ developed recently by Barashkov and Gubinelli (2019).

Langevin dynamic for the 2D Yang-Mills measure

We define a natural state space and Markov process associated to the stochastic Yang-Mills heat flow in two dimensions. To accomplish this we first introduce a space of distributional connections for which holonomies along sufficiently regular curves (Wilson loop observables) and the action of an associated group of gauge transformations are both well-defined and satisfy good continuity properties. The desired state space is obtained as the corresponding space of orbits under this group action and is shown to be a Polish space when equipped with a natural Hausdorff metric. To construct the Markov process we show that the stochastic Yang-Mills heat flow takes values in our space of connections and use the "DeTurck trick" of introducing a time dependent gauge transformation to show invariance, in law, of the solution under gauge transformations. Our main tool for solving for the Yang-Mills heat flow is the theory of regularity structures and along the way we also develop a "basis-free" framework for applying the theory of regularity structures in the context of vector-valued noise - this provides a conceptual framework for interpreting several previous constructions and we expect this framework to be of independent interest.

A priori bounds for the $\Phi^4$ equation in the full sub-critical regime

We derive a priori bounds for the $\Phi^4$ equation in the full sub-critical regime using Hairer's theory of regularity structures. The equation is formally given by \begin{equation} \label{e}(\partial_t-\Delta)\phi = -\phi^3 + \infty \phi +\xi, \tag{$\star$} \end{equation} where the term $+\infty \phi$ represents infinite terms that have to be removed in a renormalisation procedure. We emulate fractional dimensions $d<4$ by adjusting the regularity of the noise term $\xi$, choosing $\xi \in C^{-3+\delta}$. Our main result states that if $\phi$ satisfies this equation on a space-time cylinder $P= (0,1) \times \{ |x| \leq 1 \}$, then away from the boundary $\partial P$ the solution $\phi$ can be bounded in terms of a finite number of explicit polynomial expressions in $\xi$, and this bound holds uniformly over all possible choices of boundary data for $\phi$. The derivation of this bound makes full use of the super-linear damping effect of the non-linear term $-\phi^3$. A key part of our analysis consists of an appropriate re-formulation of the theory of regularity structures in the specific context of \eqref{e}, which allows to couple the small scale control one obtains from this theory with a suitable large scale argument. Along the way we make several new observations and simplifications. Instead of a model $(\Pi_x)_x$ and the family of translation operators $(\Gamma_{x,y})_{x,y}$ we work with just a single object $(\mathbb{X}_{x, y})$ which acts on itself for translations, very much in the spirit of Gubinelli's theory of branched rough paths. Furthermore, we show that in the specific context of \eqref{e} the hierarchy of continuity conditions which constitute Hairer's definition of a \emph{modelled distribution} can be reduced to the single continuity condition on the "coefficient on the constant level".

Local solution to the multi-layer KPZ equation

In this article we prove local well-posedness of the system of equations $\partial_t h_{i}= \sum_{j=1}^{i}\partial_x^2 h_{i}+ (\partial_x h_{i})^2 + \xi $ on the circle where $1\leq i\leq N$ and $\xi$ is a space-time white noise. We attempt to generalize the renormalization procedure which gives the Hopf-Cole solution for the single layer equation and our $h_1$ (solution to the first layer) coincides with this solution. However, we observe that cancellation of logarithmic divergences that occurs at the first layer does not hold at higher layers and develop explicit combinatorial formulae for them.

The dynamical sine-Gordon model in the full subcritical regime

We prove that the dynamical sine-Gordon equation on the two dimensional torus introduced in [HS16] is locally well-posed for the entire subcritical regime. At first glance this equation is far out of the scope of the local existence theory available in the framework of regularity structures [Hai14, BHZ16, CH16, BCCH17] since it involves a non-polynomial nonlinearity and the solution is expected to be a distribution (without any additional small parameter as in [FG17, HX18]). In [HS16] this was overcome by a change of variable, but the new equation that arises has a multiplicative dependence on highly non-Gaussian noises which makes stochastic estimates highly non-trivial - as a result [HS16] was only able to treat part of the subcritical regime. Moreover, the cumulants of these noises fall out of the scope of the later work [CH16]. In this work we systematically leverage "charge" cancellations specific to this model and obtain stochastic estimates that allow us to cover the entire subcritical regime.

Renormalising SPDEs in regularity structures

The formalism recently introduced in arXiv:1610.08468 allows one to assign a regularity structure, as well as a corresponding "renormalisation group", to any subcritical system of semilinear stochastic PDEs. Under very mild additional assumptions, it was then shown in arXiv:1612.08138 that large classes of driving noises exhibiting the relevant small-scale behaviour can be lifted to such a regularity structure in a robust way, following a renormalisation procedure reminiscent of the BPHZ procedure arising in perturbative QFT. The present work completes this programme by constructing an action of the renormalisation group onto a suitable class of stochastic PDEs which is intertwined with its action on the corresponding space of models. This shows in particular that solutions constructed from the BPHZ lift of a smooth driving noise coincide with the classical solutions of a modified PDE. This yields a very general black box type local existence and stability theorem for a wide class of singular nonlinear SPDEs.
