Beyond Sphericity in a Semi-Magic Nucleus: Multiple-Shape Coexistence in $^{116}$Sn

The study of nuclear shape evolution and coexistence provides key insight into the nuclear interaction, particularly in semi-magic systems expected to be spherical. A high-precision Coulomb-excitation measurement of $^{116}$Sn yields a comprehensive set of electromagnetic matrix elements, enabling the determination of quadrupole moments of the $2_{1,2,3}^+$ states and intrinsic deformations of the $0_{1,2,3}^+$ states. The results provide an unambiguous and direct proof of the rare phenomenon of multiple-shape coexistence, revealing a weakly deformed ground state incompatible with the spherical shape.

Unbound states in $^{19}$O(d,p$\gamma$)$^{20}$O: tracing the $\nu$(d$_{3/2}$) orbital

The single-neutron transfer reaction $^{19}$O(d,p$\gamma$)$^{20}$O has been performed at GANIL, populating states up to and above the neutron separation energy. Bound states populated by s-wave and d-wave transfer have been observed with improved experimental angular distributions. Critically, several unbound states between 7.6 MeV and 9.8 MeV have been accessed for the first time through the 19O(d,p) channel, and isolated via particle-$\gamma$ spectroscopy.

Direct proton transfer on $^{46}$Ar supports the presence of a charge density bubble linked to a novel nuclear structure below $^{48}$Ca

The $^{46}$Ar($^3$He,d)$^{47}$K reaction was performed in inverse kinematics using a radioactive $^{46}$Ar beam produced by the SPIRAL1 facility at GANIL and a cryogenic $^{3}$He target. The AGATA-MUGAST-VAMOS setup allowed the coincident measurement of the $\gamma$ rays, deuterons and recoiling $^{47}$K isotopes produced by the reaction. The relative cross sections towards the proton-addition states in $^{47}$K point towards a depletion of the $\pi s_{1/2}$ shell. The experimental findings are in good agreement with ab initio calculations, which predict that $^{46}$Ar exhibits a charge density bubble associated with a pronounced proton closed-shell character.

AGATA DAQ-box: a unified data acquisition system for different experimental conditions

The AGATA tracking detector array represents a significant improvement over previous Compton suppressed arrays. The construction of AGATA led to numerous technological breakthroughs in order to meet the requirements and the challenges of building a mobile detector across Europe. This paper focuses on the design and implementation of the data acquisition system responsible of the readout and control of the germanium detectors of AGATA. Our system is highly versatile, capable of instrumenting AGATA and seamlessly adapting it to various configurations with a wide range of ancillary detectors and/or spectrometers. It consists of three main components: an autonomous and independent infrastructure, a dedicated application core ensuring overall consistency, and a high--performance software package providing a fully integrated data flow management including the setting-up, the supervision and the slow control of the instrument. In this paper, we present a comprehensive analysis of the system's design and performance, particularly under high-counting rate conditions.
