Irregular SLE(4) martingales and isomonodromic deformations

We consider non-Fuchsian monodromy preserving deformations on a Riemann sphere. The associated isomonodromic deformation parameters on this surface comprise the positions of the singularities, together with the Birkhoff (spectral) invariants owing to the presence of irregular singularities. Our first main result is the derivation of the Loewner evolution of these isomonodromic deformation parameters. Using this result, we construct martingale observables for Schramm-Loewner evolution (SLE(4)) processes in the presence of double poles. Geometrically, the expressions contain the pre-Schwarzian and Schwarzian of the Loewner evolution, arising from conformal covariance of the observable. Furthermore, we characterize these SLE(4) observables uniquely in terms of confluent BPZ equations of a CFT with central charge c=1.

Vector-valued Gaussian free field conditioned to avoid a ball: Entropic repulsion of the norm and Freezing of spins

We study the laws of the two-dimensional vector-valued Dirichlet Gaussian free field and its massive lattice counterpart, conditioned to avoid a ball at every site of a subdomain. We prove that, under this conditioning, the norm of the massless field exhibits entropic repulsion, while its angular components freeze at all mesoscopic scales. A key step in the analysis is showing that around any given point in the bulk of the range, the unconditioned field has no holes. In the massive case, the conditioned field behaves differently: its norm remains uniformly bounded as the system size grows, leading to the existence of infinite-volume Gibbs measures. Furthermore, in the scalar massive case, the system undergoes a phase transition in the size of the avoided interval: for small intervals, the system admits a unique infinite-volume limit, while for sufficiently large centered intervals, multiple such limits exist.

The Spherical model and the large-$N$ limit of the Spin $O(N)$ model via the Gaussian free field

We revisit the relation between the spherical model of Berlin-Kac and the spin $O(N)$ model in the limit $N \to \infty$, and explain how they are connected via the discrete Gaussian free field (GFF). Using probabilistic limit theorems and concentration of measure, we prove that the infinite-volume limit of the spherical model on a $d$-dimensional torus is a massive GFF in the high-temperature regime, a standard GFF at the critical temperature, and a standard GFF plus a Rademacher random constant in the low-temperature regime. The proof at the critical temperature appears to be new and relies on a fine analysis of the zero-average Green's function on the torus. We study the spin $O(N)$ model in the double limit of spin dimensionality and torus size. Sending $N \to \infty$ first, and then the torus size to infinity, we show that the different spin coordinates become i.i.d. fields, distributed as a massive GFF in the high-temperature regime, a standard GFF at the critical temperature, and a standard GFF plus a Gaussian random constant in the low-temperature regime. In particular, although the limiting free energies per site of the two models agree at all temperatures, their finite-dimensional laws still differ in terms of their zero modes in the low-temperature regime.

The exploration process of critical Boltzmann planar maps decorated by a triangular $O(n)$ loop model

In this paper we investigate pointed $(\mathbf{q}, g, n)$-Boltzmann loop-decorated maps with loops traversing only inner triangular faces. Using the peeling exploration of arXiv:1809.02012 modified to this setting we show that its law in the non-generic critical phase can be coded in terms of a random walk confined to the positive integers by a new specific boundary condition. Under a technical assumption that we believe to be true, combining this observation with explicit quantities for the peeling law we derive the large deviations property for the distribution of the so-called nesting statistic and show that the exploration process possesses exactly the same scaling limit as in the rigid loop model on bipartite maps that is a specific self-similar Markov process introduced in arXiv:1809.02012. Besides, we conclude the equivalence of the admissible weight sequences related by the so-called fixed point equation by proving the missing direction in the argument of arXiv:1202.5521.
