One constant to rule them all

We study the coupling matrix of $\mathcal{N}=2$ $SU(N)$ gauge theories with $2N$ fundamental hypermultiplets in the special vacuum, where a residual $\mathbb{Z}_N$ symmetry restores nontrivial modular structure. Using symmetry and dimensional arguments, we construct its general form and identify $\lfloor N/2 \rfloor$ coupling constants in their most natural basis. We show that in the massless theory these couplings transform independently under $S$-duality and that the bare coupling is a modular function of any of them. One coupling constant, however, plays a distinguished role, emerging in the asymptotic regime and in instanton recursion relation. In the massive case, this structure is deformed but the distinguished coupling retains its privileged role.

Zamolodchikov recurrence relation and modular properties of effective coupling in $\mathcal{N}=2$ SQCD

In this work, we present a recurrence relation for the instanton partition function of the $\mathcal{N}=2$ SYM $SU(N)$ gauge theory with $2N$ fundamental multiplets. The main difficulty lies in determining the asymptotic behaviour of the partition function in the regime of large vacuum expectation values of the Higgs field. Using the saddle point method and the $qq$-characters technique, we demonstrate that, in this limit, the partition function is governed by the Quantum Seiberg-Witten curves, as in the Nekrasov-Shatashvili limit, up to a normalisation constant. With the asymptotic behaviour found, we are able to write the recurrence relation for the partition function and to find the effective infrared coupling constant. The resulting effective constant is an inverse of a modular function with respect to a certain triangle group, and the asymptotic itself is a product of modular functions and forms with respect to triangle groups.

Ultraviolet finite non-local Hamiltonian perturbation Quantum Field Theories and their weak adiabatic limit

The non-local quantum field theories attract interest in the mathematical and physical community as candidates for effective description of the reality taking into account the quantum gravity effects. The standard methods, developed for the conventional local quantum field theories, often are not applicable. In this paper the Hamiltonian approach, originally proposed for quantization of the non-local effective theory inspired by non-commutative geometry of the Doplicher-Fredenhagen-Roberts Quantum Spacetime, is generalized to a large class of ultraviolet finite non-local Hamiltonian perturbative Quantum Field Theories. General properties of such theories are discussed. The weak adiabatic limit existence is proved for the whole class of theories.

Recurrence relation for instanton partition function in SU(N) gauge theory

We study the equivariant instanton partition function in $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric theory on $\mathbb{C}^2$ with $SU(N)$ gauge group and find the generalisation of the Zamolodchikov recurrence relation. We consider the pure theory as well as theories with matter hypermultiplets in the adjoint and fundamental representations.
