In the paper we study the 2D div-curl problem in the exterior domain which models the flow with given vorticity, divergency, boundary condition at infinity, and Dirichlet condition on the solid surface. We will find the relations on vorticity and divergence for uniqueness solvability of the problem and deduce the explicit formula.
In the paper we study the impact of the boundary vorticity distribution on the dynamics of enstrophy for flows around streamlined body. A new energy identity is derived in the article, which includes the boundary values of the vortex function. For the Stokes system the dissipativity of enstrophy is proved. For the Navier-Stokes system a new equation of the enstrophy dynamics is obtained.
Most of the known Fourier transforms associated with the equations of mathematical physics have a trivial kernel, and an inversion formula as well as the Parseval equality are fulfilled. In other words, the system of the eigenfunctions involved in the definition of the integral transform is complete. Here we will study Fourier transform associated with the differential operator, which in addition to the continuous part of the spectrum that defines this transform, may contain a set of eigenfunctions. These functions become the elements of the kernel of Fourier transform.
In this article we derive the no-slip boundary condition for a non-stationary vorticity equation. This condition generates the affine invariant manifold and no-slip integral relations on vorticity can be transferred to a Robin-type boundary condition.
