A note on pure connection formalism for unimodular gravity and its possible generalisations

In this note, we consider the Henneaux-Teitelboim version of Unimodular Gravity (UG) and its deformations in the form of gauge theories with spontaneously broken diffeomorphism invariance. Actions defining such theories depends on the curvature of an $SO(3,\mathbb{C})$ gauge connection and the field strength of a (real) 3-form (or equivalently its dual vector density). We obtain the pure connection action of the theory from the corresponding Plebanski action by integrating out auxiliary fields. Then we show that the Henneaux-Teitelboim form of UG can be included in a wider class of theories which propagate two (complex) degrees of freedom.

The initial data problem for a traversable wormhole with interacting mouths

In this study, we consider the time-symmetric initial data problem for GR minimally coupled with a phantom scalar field and a Maxwell field. The main focus is on initial data sets describing two interacting mouths of the same traversable wormhole. These data sets are similar in many respects to the Misner initial data with two black holes.

On the cosmological solutions in Weyl geometry

We investigated the possibility of construction the homogeneous and isotropic cosmological solutions in Weyl geometry. We derived the self-consistency condition which ensures the conformal invariance of the complete set of equations of motion. There is the special gauge in choosing the conformal factor when the Weyl vector equals zero. In this gauge we found new vacuum cosmological solutions absent in General Relativity. Also, we found new solution in Weyl geometry for the radiation dominated universe with the cosmological term, corresponding to the constant curvature scalar in our special gauge. Possible relation of our results to the understanding both dark matter and dark energy is discussed.
