Uniform LAN property of locally stable Lévy process observed at high frequency

Suppose we have a high-frequency sample from the Lévy process of the form $X_t^θ=βt+γZ_t+U_t$, where $Z$ is a possibly asymmetric locally $α$-stable Lévy process, and $U$ is a nuisance Lévy process less active than $Z$. We prove the LAN property about the explicit parameter $θ=(β,γ)$ under very mild conditions without specific form of the Lévy measure of $Z$, thereby generalizing the LAN result of A\"ıt-Sahalia and Jacod (2007). In particular, it is clarified that a non-diagonal norming may be necessary in the truly asymmetric case. Due to the special nature of the local $α$-stable property, the asymptotic Fisher information matrix takes a clean-cut form.

Exact asymptotic for distribution densities of Levy functionals

A version of the saddle point method is developed, which allows one to describe exactly the asymptotic behavior of distribution densities of Levy driven stochastic integrals with deterministic kernels. Exact asymptotic behavior is established for (a) the transition probability density of a real-valued Levy process; (b) the transition probability density and the invariant distribution density of a Levy driven Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process; (c) the distribution density of the fractional Levy motion.

Absolute continuity and convergence in variation for distributions of functionals of Poisson point measure

General sufficient conditions are given for absolute continuity and convergence in variation of the distributions of the unctionals on a probability space, generated by a Poisson point measure. The phase space of the Poisson point measure is supposed to be of the form (0,\infty)\times U, and its intensity measure to be equal dtΠ(du). We introduce the family of time stretching transformations of the configurations of the point measure. The sufficient conditions for absolute continuity and convergence in variation are given in the terms of the time stretching transformations and the relative differential operators. These conditions are applied to solutions of SDE's driven by Poisson point measures, including an SDE's with non-constant jump rate.

Asymptotic and spectral properties of exponentially ϕ-ergodic Markov processes

New relations between ergodic rate, L_p convergence rates, and asymptotic behavior of tail probabilities for hitting times of a time homogeneous Markov process are established. For L_p convergence rates and related spectral and functional properties (spectral gap and Poincare inequality) sufficient conditions are given in the terms of an exponential ϕ-coupling. This provides sufficient conditions for L_p convergence rates in the terms of appropriate combination of `local mixing' and `recurrence' conditions on the initial process, typical in the ergodic theory of Markov processes. The range of application of the approach includes time-irreversible processes. In particular, sufficient conditions for spectral gap property for Levy driven Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process are established.

Malliavin calculus for difference approximations of multidimensional diffusions: truncated local limit theorem

For a difference approximations of multidimensional diffusion, the truncated local limit theorem is proved. Under very mild conditions on the distribution of the difference terms, this theorem provides that the transition probabilities of these approximations, after truncation of some asymptotically negligible terms, possess a densities that converge uniformly to the transition probability density for the limiting diffusion and satisfy a uniform diffusion-type estimates. The proof is based on the new version of the Malliavin calculus for the product of finite family of measures, that may contain non-trivial singular components. An applications for uniform estimates for mixing and convergence rates for difference approximations to SDE's and for convergence of difference approximations for local times of multidimensional diffusions are given.

Invariance principle for additive functionals of Markov chains

We consider a sequence of additive functionals {ϕ_n}, set on a sequence of Markov chains {X_n} that weakly converges to a Markov process X. We give sufficient condition for such a sequence to converge in distribution, formulated in terms of the characteristics of the additive functionals, and related to the Dynkin's theorem on the convergence of W-functionals. As an application of the main theorem, the general sufficient condition for convergence of additive functionals in terms of transition probabilities of the chains X_n is proved.

Difference approximation for local times of multidimensional diffusions

We consider sequences of additive functionals of difference approximations for uniformly non-degenerate multidimensional diffusions. The conditions are given, sufficient for such a sequence to converge weakly to a W-functional of the limiting process. The class of the W-functionals, that can be obtained as the limiting ones, is completely described in the terms of the associated W-measures, and coincides with the class of the functionals that are regular w.r.t. the phase variable.

Exponential ergodicity of the solutions to SDE's with a jump noise

The mild sufficient conditions for exponential ergodicity of a Markov process, defined as the solution to SDE with a jump noise, are given. These conditions include three principal claims: recurrence condition R, topological irreducibility condition S and non-degeneracy condition N, the latter formulated in the terms of a certain random subspace of \Re^m, associated with the initial equation. The examples are given, showing that, in general, none of three principal claims can be removed without losing ergodicity of the process. The key point in the approach, developed in the paper, is that the local Doeblin condition can be derived from N and S via the stratification method and criterium for the convergence in variations of the family of induced measures on \Re^m.

A limit theorem for diffusions on graphs with variable configuration

A limit theorem for a sequence of diffusion processes on graphs is proved in a case when vary both parameters of the processes (the drift and diffusion coefficients on every edge and the asymmetry coefficients in every vertex), and configuration of graphs, where the processes are set on. The explicit formulae for the parameters of asymmetry for the vertices of the limiting graph are given in the case, when, in the pre-limiting graphs, some groups of vertices form knots contracting into a points.
