Effective Mass Dirac-Morse Problem with any kappa-value

The Dirac-Morse problem are investigated within the framework of an approximation to the term proportional to $1/r^2$ in the view of the position-dependent mass formalism. The energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions are obtained by using the parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method for any $κ$-value. It is also studied the approximate energy eigenvalues, and corresponding wave functions in the case of the constant-mass for pseudospin, and spin cases, respectively.

Approximate Pseudospin and Spin Solutions of the Dirac Equation for a Class of Exponential Potentials

Dirac equation is solved for some exponential potentials, hypergeometric-type potential, generalized Morse potential and Poschl-Teller potential with any spin-orbit quantum number $κ$ in the case of spin and pseudospin symmetry, respectively. We have approximated for non s-waves the centrifugal term by an exponential form. The energy eigenvalue equations, and the corresponding wave functions are obtained by using the generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method.

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Pseudospin Symmetric Dirac Equation for Exponential-type Potentials

The solvability of The Dirac equation is studied for the exponential-type potentials with the pseudospin symmetry by using the parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The energy eigenvalue equation, and the corresponding Dirac spinors for Morse, Hulthen, and q-deformed Rosen-Morse potentials are obtained within the framework of an approximation to the spin-orbit coupling term, so the solutions are given for any value of the spin-orbit quantum number $κ=0$, or $κ\neq 0$.

Exact Solutions of Effective Mass Dirac Equation with non-PT-Symmetric and non-Hermitian Exponential-type Potentials

By using two-component approach to the one-dimensional effective mass Dirac equation bound states are investigated under the effect of two new non-PT-symmetric, and non-Hermitian, exponential type potentials. It is observed that the Dirac equation can be mapped into a Schrödinger-like equation by rescaling one of the two Dirac wave functions in the case of the position dependent mass. The energy levels, and the corresponding Dirac eigenfunctions are found analytically.

Approximate l-State Solutions of the Klein-Gordon Equation for Modified Woods-Saxon Potential With Position Dependent Mass

The radial part of the Klein-Gordon equation for the generalized Woods-Saxon potential is solved by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method in the case of spatially dependent mass within the new approximation scheme to the centrifugal potential term. The energy eigenvalues and corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are computed. The solutions in the case of constant mass are also studied to check out the consistency of our new approximation scheme.

Approximate l-State Solutions of a Spin-0 Particle for Woods-Saxon Potential

The radial part of Klein-Gordon equation is solved for the Woods-Saxon potential within the framework of an approximation to the centrifugal barrier. The bound states and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions of the Woods-Saxon potential are computed by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The results are consistent with the ones obtained in the case of generalized Woods-Saxon potential. The solutions of the Schrödinger equation by using the same approximation are also studied as a special case, and obtained the consistent results with the ones obtained before.

Approximate Analytical Solutions of the Klein-Gordon Equation for Hulthen Potential with Position-Dependent Mass

The Klein-Gordon equation is solved approximately for the Hulthén potential for any angular momentum quantum number $\ell$ with the position-dependent mass. Solutions are obtained reducing the Klein-Gordon equation into a Schrödinger-like differential equation by using an appropriate coordinate transformation. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to get an energy eigenvalue and and the wave functions. It is found that the results in the case of constant mass are in good agreement with the ones obtained in the literature.

Quantum Mechanical Treatment of the Problem of Constraints in Nonextensive Formalism Revisited

The purity of Werner state in nonextensive formalism associated with two different constraints has been calculated in a previous paper by G. B. Bagci et al. [G. B. Bagci et al., Int. J. Mod. Phys. 20, 2085 (2006)]. Two different results have been obtained corresponding to ordinary probability and escort probability whereas the former has been shown to result in negative values thereby leading authors to deduce the advantage of escort probabilities over ordinary probabilities. However, this results have been only for a limited interval of q values which lie between 0 and 1. In this paper, we solve the same problem for all values of nonextensive index q by using a perturbative approach and show that the simultaneous use of both types of constraint is necessary in order to obtain the solution for whole spectrum of nonextensive index. In this sense, the existence of these different constraints in nonextensive formalism must not be seen as a deficiency in the formalism but rather must be welcomed as a means of providing solution for all values of parameter q.

On The Problem of Constraints In Nonextensive Formalism: A Quantum Mechanical Treatment

Relative entropy (divergence) of Bregman type recently proposed by T. D. Frank and Jan Naudts is considered and its quantum counterpart is used to calculate purity of the Werner state in nonextensive formalism. It has been observed that two different expressions arise due to two different forms of quantum divergences. It is then argued that the difference is due to the fact that the relative entropy of Bregman type is related to the first choice thermostatistics whereas the one of Csiszàr type is related to the third choice thermostatistics. The superiority of the third choice thermostatistics to the first choice thermostatistics has been deduced by noticing that the expression obtained by using the Bregman type leads to negative values for q$\in (0,1)$ and fidelity F smaller than 1 whereas the one obtained by using Csiszàr type is free from such anomalies. Moreover, it has been noted that these two measures show different qualitative behavior with respect to F. Contrary to the classical case, the violation of the positive definiteness of the relative entropy immediately results in a choice between the two constraints without any need of more abstract Shore-Johnson axioms. The possibility of writing a relative entropy of Bregman type compatible with the third choice has been investigated further. The answer turns out to be negative as far as the usual transformation from ordinary probabilities to the escort probabilities are considered.

The Forward-Backward Asymmetry in the $B \to π\ell^+\ell^-$ Decay

Using the most general effective Hamiltonian comprising scalar, vector and tensor type interactions, we have written the branching ratio, the forward-backward (FB) asymmetry and the normalized FB asymmetry as functions of the new Wilson coefficients. It is found that the branching ratio depends on all new coefficients, but the dependence of asymmetries on coefficients could be analyzed only for one Wilson coefficient.

The Hypervirial-Padé Summation Method Applied to the Anharmonic Oscillator

The energy eigenvalues of the anharmonic oscillator characterized by the cubic potential for various eigenstates are determined within the framework of the hypervirial-Padé summation method. For this purpose the E[3,3] and E[3,4] Padé approximants are formed to the energy perturbation series and given the energy eigenvalues up to fourth order in terms of the anharmonicity parameter $λ$.

The sensitivity of the zero position of the forward--backward asymmetry to new physics effects in the B -> K^\ast μ^+ μ^- decay

Starting with the most general effective Hamiltonian comprising scalar and vector operators beyond the standard model, we discuss the impact of various operators on the zero of the forward--backward asymmetry in the dileptonic B decay B -> K^\ast μ^+ μ^-. We find that, zero of the asymmetry is highly sensitive to the sign and size of the vector--vector operators and opposite chirality counterparts of the usual operators. The scalar--scalar four--fermion operators, on the other hand, have mild effect on the zero of the asymmetry. Our results are expected to be checked in the near future experiments.
