Connecting Vector-like Muons, pNGB Dark Matter and Electroweak Phase Transition through Collider and Gravitational Wave

We study an extension of the Standard Model with two complex scalar singlets, $S_2$ and $S_3$, charged under $\mathbb{Z}_2$ and $\mathbb{Z}_3$, respectively, and a muon-philic vector-like lepton $\psi$ carrying the same $\mathbb{Z}_3$ charge as $S_3$. The pseudoscalar associated with the $\mathbb{Z}_2$ sector remains stable due to the CP symmetry of the potential and serves as the dark matter (DM) candidate, with its mass generated through the corresponding soft breaking of the global $U(1)$ symmetry. The vector-like muon couples to the $\mathbb{Z}_3$ scalar and renders the second pseudoscalar unstable, thereby realizing an effectively single-component pNGB DM scenario. The pNGB nature strongly suppresses the tree-level spin-independent direct-detection cross section, while viable parameter regions reproduce the observed relic abundance and satisfy LHC monojet constraints. We further compute the one-loop contribution to DM-nucleon scattering and find that the resulting cross section remains below current experimental limits while being potentially accessible to future direct-detection experiments. At a multi-TeV muon collider, scalar mediated $ t$-channel processes can significantly enhance vector-like-muon pair production. We perform a detailed multivariate analysis for a future muon collider at 3 TeV center-of-mass energy. We also identify viable benchmark points exhibiting strong first-order electroweak phase transitions (SFOEWPT) with successful bubble nucleation, which can generate potentially observable stochastic gravitational wave (GW) signals. These results highlight the complementarity of dark matter searches, muon-collider probes, and SFOEWPT, with the resulting GW signals providing an additional probe of the extended scalar sector.

Exploring $Z/\gamma$-mediated heavy FCNCs at the FCC-ee

The flavor structure of the Standard Model (SM) remains one of the most compelling questions in particle physics, with the third generation being particularly intriguing due to its significantly larger masses and comparatively less precisely measured properties. These features make third-generation flavor transitions particularly interesting in context of search for physics beyond the SM. In this work, we investigate flavor-violating transitions between the third and the first two generations, mediated by the neutral gauge bosons ($Z/\gamma$), within the framework of the SM Effective Field Theory (SMEFT), using dipole and Higgs-current operators. We determine the optimal sensitivities using the optimal observable technique (OOT) at different center-of-mass energies of the upcoming Future Circular Collider in the $e^+e^-$ mode (FCC-ee). We further derive complementary constraints on the relevant SMEFT operators from low-energy flavor-violating observables and heavy fermion decay channels. Our analysis also reveals characteristic interference patterns among the dipole contributions, which depend on the underlying flavor transition and exhibit distinct behavior between the $Z$ pole and higher-energy FCC-ee stages. The FCC-ee provides a complementary and direct probe of flavor-violating interactions at the electroweak scale, with the projections showing improved sensitivity for several interactions and comparable sensitivity to existing flavor constraints for several others. This highlights the importance of a systematic assessment across the different FCC-ee energy stages, which provides a comprehensive picture of its potential to explore flavor-violating phenomena and its complementarity with low-energy flavor experiments.

High energy probes of Higgs self-coupling via $W$ boson fusion at future lepton colliders

We investigate the sensitivity to the Higgs self-coupling through $W$ boson fusion di-Higgs production at CLIC with a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=3$ TeV. We study the interplay between the Higgs self-coupling modifier ($\kappa_{\lambda}$) and Higgs-gauge coupling modifiers ($\kappa_{V}$ and $\kappa_{2V}$) within the $\kappa$ framework. To enhance the separation between signal and background, we develop a graph neural network (GNN) based classifier that achieves a signal significance of $\mathscr{Z}\approx 20~\sigma$ at $5~\mathrm{ab}^{-1}$, substantially exceeding projected HL-LHC sensitivity. Our results demonstrate that high-energy lepton colliders, combined with graph-based machine learning, provide excellent sensitivity to the Higgs self-coupling and offer a powerful probe of new physics in the electroweak sector, disentangling linearly and non-linearly realized electroweak symmetry breaking.

Multiparameter Quantum Estimation and Degeneracy Structure in Three-Flavor Neutrino Oscillations

Achieving precision measurements of neutrino oscillation parameters and resolving parameter degeneracies remain central challenges in neutrino physics. This work presents a systematic investigation of three-flavor neutrino oscillations within the framework of quantum estimation theory using the quantum Fisher information matrix (QFIM). The behavior of all six independent elements of the QFIM associated with the parameters theta23, deltaCP, and Delta(m31)^2 is analyzed, and the impact of parameter correlations on the quantum Cram\'er-Rao bound is studied. Furthermore, we demonstrate that parameter degeneracies in neutrino oscillation probabilities do not necessarily imply indistinguishability of the underlying quantum states. By employing quantum fidelity and the QFIM, we show that degenerate parameter sets can exhibit distinct quantum-information characteristics that remain hidden at the probability level, revealing quantum-state differences between probability-degenerate solutions.

Probing anomalous quartic gauge couplings in same-sign $W$ boson scattering with polarization and spin correlation

The study of quartic couplings of electroweak gauge bosons not only provides a test of the Standard Model (SM) predictions, but also can look for signals of new physics beyond the SM. We present a comprehensive study of anomalous quartic gauge couplings in same-sign $W^\pm W^\pm$ production via vector boson scattering at the LHC. The analysis is carried out within the framework of the SM Effective Field Theory, exploiting polarization and spin-correlation effects encoded in angular asymmetries in addition to conventional kinematic observables. We demonstrate that spin-correlation asymmetries provide sensitivity to anomalous $WWWW$ interactions that is comparable to that obtained from the transverse mass distribution of the $WW$ system. By identifying a minimal set of the most sensitive asymmetries, we show that the dominant constraints on the Wilson coefficients can be captured with a reduced number of observables. A combined analysis of angular asymmetries and kinematic information leads to improved limits compared to either approach alone. The impact of unitarity considerations is also examined by imposing invariant-mass cut-offs on the $WW$ system, allowing us to determine unitarity-safe regions for the anomalous couplings.

Probing SMEFT Operators through $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ Production with Hyper-Graph Neural Networks at the LHC

We present a phenomenological study of $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$~TeV, using a Hyper-Graph Neural Network (H-GNN) to discriminate multilepton signal events from the dominant SM backgrounds, namely $t\bar{t}W$, $t\bar{t}Z$, $t\bar{t}H$, $t\bar{t}VV$, single-top associated production, and diboson and triboson processes. In the H-GNN architecture each event is represented as a hypergraph whose nodes correspond to reconstructed jets and leptons and whose hyperedges encode higher-order correlations among arbitrary subsets of these objects, allowing the network to learn the many-body kinematic structures that characterize the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ final state. Combining same-sign di-lepton, tri-lepton, and four-lepton channels following a CMS-like event selection, the H-GNN attains an area under the ROC curve of $0.951$ for the $t\bar{t}t\bar{t}$ signal and yields a statistical significance of $Z = 9.11$ at an integrated luminosity of $\mathcal{L} = 140~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, to be compared with $Z = 8.62$ for a SPANet baseline, $Z = 7.37$ for a Particle Transformer baseline, and $Z = 5.13$ obtained by the ATLAS analysis, evaluated under identical event selection. We exploit the improved signal extraction to derive one- and two-parameter $95\%$ confidence level limits on the Wilson coefficients of the dimension-six operators $\mathcal{O}_{\Phi u}$, $\mathcal{O}^{(1)}_{tt}$, $\mathcal{O}^{(1)}_{qq}$, $\mathcal{O}^{(1)}_{qt}$, and $\mathcal{O}^{(8)}_{qt}$, and we project the expected sensitivity at the HL-LHC integrated luminosities of $1000~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ and $3000~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ with $50\%$ uncertainty on the background estimation.

Quantumness of top quark pairs produced at LHC within SMEFT framework

Top and anti-top quark pair production at LHC provides a unique setting to probe non-classical correlations at the TeV scale. We study quantum information (QI) properties of the $t\bar{t}$ spin state in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV within the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT), focusing on dimension-6 operators that induce anomalous chromo- and weak dipole moments of the top quark within their current experimental bounds. The $t\bar{t}$ spin density matrix is reconstructed from the joint angular distribution of the final state charged leptons in the $k$-$r$-$n$ helicity basis. We analyze three complementary QI quantities: concurrence-based quantum entanglement (QE), geometric quantum discord (GQD), and the Bell parameter, across four $t\bar{t}$ invariant-mass bins. Within the Standard Model (SM), non-vanishing QE appears only near threshold ($m_{t\bar{t}}\lesssim 400$ GeV), while GQD remains nonzero across the full phase space, indicating persistent non-classical correlations even for separable states. Anomalous chromo-dipole interactions modify these observables primarily near threshold: $\hat{\mu}_t$ induces asymmetric shifts, whereas $\hat{d}_t$ produces a mild symmetric response without Bell inequality violation. Among weak dipole operators, the CP-even coupling $C_2^V$ generates the largest deformation of the QI observables, while $\Delta C_1^{A,V}$ leave them unchanged. These results demonstrate that QI observables derived from the $t\bar{t}$ spin density matrix provide a complementary probe of anomalous top-quark interactions with distinct sensitivity to CP-even and CP-odd operator structures.

Quantum Fisher Information Revealing Parameter Sensitivity in Long-Baseline Neutrino Experiments

Determination of the leptonic CP-violating phase $\delta_{\rm CP}$, the atmospheric mixing angle $\theta_{23}$, and the mass-squared difference $\Delta m_{31}^2$ constitutes a primary objective of current and next-generation long-baseline neutrino experiments. We employ Quantum Fisher Information (QFI) to quantify the maximum information that the neutrino quantum state contains about these oscillation parameters, treating the neutrino as an evolving pure quantum state. Computing the QFI as a function of the baseline-to-energy ratio $L/E$ for benchmark parameter sets from NuFit-6.0, we find distinct sensitivity hierarchies and $L/E$-dependent structures. Specifically, $\delta_{\rm CP}$ and $\theta_{23}$ exhibit bimodal QFI profiles with peaks around $L/E \sim 500$ and $1500~\mathrm{km/GeV}$, reaching $F_Q(\delta_{\rm CP}) \sim 0.15$ and $F_Q(\theta_{23}) \sim 15$, respectively. In contrast, $F_Q(\Delta m_{31}^2)$ increases rapidly with $L/E$ over the range considered, reaching values of order $10^7$. This hierarchy indicates that, within the considered single-parameter framework, the neutrino state carries substantially greater intrinsic quantum sensitivity to $\Delta m_{31}^2$ than to $\theta_{23}$ or $\delta_{\rm CP}$. We further compare the QFI with the classical Fisher information (CFI) obtained from flavor-transition probabilities, showing how much of the available information can be extracted through this specific measurement. For a fixed DUNE baseline, matter effects substantially enhance the QFI for $\delta_{\rm CP}$ in the few-GeV region, while producing only minor modifications for $\theta_{23}$ and $\Delta m_{31}^2$. These results show that the information available for estimating the three oscillation parameters differs significantly, and that the flavor-probability measurement does not always extract all the information available in the quantum state.

Probing anomalous $W^-W^+\gamma/Z$ couplings in the SMEFT with $e^-e^+ \to W^-W^+ \to 4j/\ell^-\ell^+\slashed{E}$ channel

We investigate anomalous charged triple gauge boson couplings induced by $SU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y$ gauge-invariant dimension-6 operators in the HISZ basis through the processes $e^-e^+ \to 4j$ and $e^-e^+ \to \ell^-\ell^+ + \text{missing energy}$ at $\sqrt{s}=250\,$GeV with longitudinally polarized beams. The analysis includes three CP-even operators $(O_{WWW}, O_W, O_B)$ and two CP-odd operators $(\tilde O_{WWW}, \tilde O_W)$, which parameterize deviations in the $W^-W^+\gamma/Z$ vertex. All leading-order contributions are included, including interference between $W^-W^+$ production and non-resonant amplitudes. In the $e^-e^+ \to 4j$ channel, $W^-W^+$ candidates are selected using boosted decision trees. The $W$-boson charges are reconstructed using a jet-charge observable, and jet flavors from $W$ decays are identified with a dedicated classifier, enabling measurements of vector polarization and correlation asymmetries. In the $e^-e^+ \to \ell^-\ell^+ + \text{missing energy}$ channel, events are selected with cuts on lepton transverse momentum and dilepton mass, and the two neutrino momenta are reconstructed using neural-network regression. Combining total cross sections with spin asymmetries allows constraints on anomalous gauge couplings. The fully hadronic channel provides the strongest sensitivity to $O_B$ and $\tilde O_W$, while the semi-leptonic channel yields tighter limits on $O_{WWW}$, $O_W$, and $\tilde O_{WWW}$. The fully leptonic channel adds complementary sensitivity. Finally, we derive marginalized limits on all five operators using a Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis for several choices of systematic uncertainties and integrated luminosities.

Probing CP-violating Higgs-Gauge couplings with Higgsstrahlung at $e^-e^+$ collider

We investigate the sensitivity of a future high-luminosity $e^-e^+$ collider operating at $\sqrt{s}=250~\text{GeV}$ to CP-violating and CP-conserving anomalous $hVV$ interactions via the Higgsstrahlung process. The effects of new physics are parameterized in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory~(SMEFT) framework through six dimension-6 operators modifying the $hVV$ vertices. Using polarized beams and exploiting polarization and spin correlation asymmetries reconstructed from Higgs decay products, we perform a comprehensive analysis across the three dominant decay modes, $h\to b\bar{b}$, $WW^\star$, and $ZZ^\star$. The $h\to WW^\star$ channel exhibits the highest sensitivity to $\mathcal{O}_{HW}$ and $\mathcal{O}_{H\widetilde{W}}$, while the $b\bar{b}$ mode constrains the remaining operators with high statistical precision. Sensitivity studies incorporating luminosity scaling and systematic uncertainties show that the projected bounds improve significantly with increasing integrated luminosity, but saturate once experimental systematics exceed the few-percent level. These results highlight the crucial role of spin-based observables and beam polarization in achieving sub-percent precision on SMEFT coefficients at future lepton colliders.

Bounds on SMEFT affecting multi gauge and Higgs-gauge couplings using two and three body spin correlations in $e^-e^+\to 3l2j\slashed{E}$ process

The upcoming electron-positron collider provides an ideal place to probe deviation from the Standard Model predictions with its clean environment, beam polarization and significant luminosity. We studied anomalous quartic gauge boson couplings~($VVW^-W^+, V\in\{\gamma,Z\}$), triple gauge couplings~($W^-W^+\gamma/Z)$, and Higgs-gauge couplings $(HVV, V\in\{W^\pm,Z,\gamma\}$) induced by $SU(2)_L \times U(1)_Y$ gauge invariant dimension-6 operators in $3l2j\slashed{E}$ final events with initial beam polarization. The phase space of two prominent amplitudes i.e, triple gauge boson production $(WWV)$ and vector boson scattering sub-processes, are selected with boosted decision trees. We employ the asymmetries related to polarization and spin correlation observables along with cross~section to constrain the anomalous couplings. The parity odd polarizations and spin correlations of jets from $W$ boson require flavor tagging which is done using artificial neural networks. We provide one parameter limits at $95\%$ confidence level combining cross~section and spin related observables. Finally, marginalized limits on all nine anomalous couplings are obtained with MCMC analysis. The limits are found to be insensitive to systematic errors and dominated by statistics. We find that the VBS-like events provides a tighter constraints to $c_W$ and $c_B$ Wilson coefficients (WCs) in comparison to limits from WWZ phase space. For the remaining $7$ WCs, WWZ contribute significantly to the overall limits.

Optimal estimation of Higgs-Gauge Boson couplings at the future $e^+e^-$ colliders

The proposed $e^+e^-$ collider offers an ideal environment for precise estimation of Higgs boson properties which are of utmost importance to validate the Standard Model of particle physics. We investigate $hVV$ couplings, where $V\in \{Z,\gamma\}$ with single Higgs production associated with $Z$ boson at the proposed $e^+e^-$ machine with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV, within the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) framework. We employ the recoil mass of the dilepton system, to select the signal phase space, i.e, $Zh \to l^+l^-b\Bar{b}$ events. The constraints on the Wilson coefficients (WCs) are obtained using the optimal observable technique (OOT). On comparison with the current experimental limits at $68\%$ CL with $138$ fb$^{-1}$ luminosity, our limits are tighter by a factor ranging from $1.5-10$ for CP even operators, while CP-odd WCs shows comparable limits.

Looking into the quantum entanglement in $H\to ZZ^\star$ at LHC within SMEFT framework

We study $H\to ZZ^\star$ production process in final four lepton states at $13$ TeV LHC in SMEFT framework. The anomalous $HZZ$ couplings are parameterized with dimension-6 $SU(2)_L\times U(1)_Y$ gauge invariant operators. We compute the eight polarizations of each $Z$ boson and $64$ spin-correlations as asymmetries in angular functions of final decayed leptons in the rest frame of the $Z$ boson. These asymmetries are further used to construct the joint density matrix (DM) for $ZZ^\star$ system. However, such DM suffers from negative probability and eigenvalues. To alleviate the negativity issues, we reconstruct the DM using asymmetries of symmetrized angular functions owing to the indistinguishability of two $Z$ bosons. The symmetrized DM is further employed to compute lower bound for concurrence as a witness of entanglement measurable at the collider experiments. The $ZZ^\star$ system is found to be in an entangled state for all values of the anomalous couplings. Notably, while the lower bound exhibits poorer sensitivity to anomalous couplings compared to asymmetries, it demonstrates distinct behavior for CP-even and odd couplings.

Optimal sensitivity of anomalous charged triple gauge couplings through $W$ boson helicity at the $e^+e^-$ colliders

We study the estimation of anomalous charged triple gauge couplings (cTGCs) parameterized in a model-independent Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) framework via $WW$ production followed by semi-leptonic decay at the $e^+e^-$ colliders. The anomalous $(WWV~(V=\gamma,Z))$ couplings are given in terms of Wilson coefficients of three CP-conserving and two CP-violating dimension-6 operators in the HISZ basis. We adopt the optimal observable technique (OOT) to extract the sensitivity of these anomalous couplings and compare it with the latest experimental limits on anomalous couplings studied at the LHC. The limits on the anomalous couplings obtained via OOT are significantly tighter than the ones obtained using standard $\chi^2$ analysis. The impact of different helicity combinations of the $W$ boson pair in determining optimal sensitivity is analyzed. The constraints on CP-violating operators from the electron electric dipole moment (EDM) are also discussed.

Anomalous triple gauge couplings in $e^-e^+\to 4j$: Role of polarizations, spin correlations and interference

We investigate the anomalous charged triple gauge boson couplings generated via $SU(2)_l\times U(1)_Y$ gauge invariant dimension-6 operators with final state four jet events in an $e^-e^+$ Collider at $\sqrt{s}=250$~GeV. We consider all the leading order contributions including the contribution from the interference of $W^-W^+$ diagrams with other possible diagrams. The tagging of two $W$ bosons with a pair of jets is done using the jet charge, while the decay products of $W^\prime$s are tagged as \emph{up/down}-type using boosted decision trees to construct polarizations and spin correlations. Marginalized limits on five anomalous couplings are obtained by Markov Chain Monte Carlo analysis using polarizations, spin correlations, and cross~section. We found that the full-hadronic channel provides tighter limits on anomalous couplings than compared to the usually sought-after clean semi-leptonic channel, owing to the large contribution from interference.

On bipartite and tripartite entanglement at present and future particle colliders

Entanglement, rooted in the non-deterministic, non-local nature of quantum mechanics, serves as a fundamental correlation. High-energy particle colliders offer a unique platform for exploring entanglement in the relativistic regime. The recent observation of entanglement in $t\bar{t}$ production by ATLAS has sparked significant interest in investigating entanglement phenomena at colliders. While bipartite entanglement receives extensive attention, tripartite entanglement remains relatively uncharted. We investigate tripartite entanglement in $t\bar{t}Z$ production at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) within the Standard Model and with a dimension-$8$ effective operator. Additionally, we explore bipartite entanglement in $t\bar{t}$, $tW^-$, and di-boson production processes, namely $W^+W^-$, $ZZ$, and $W^+Z$, at the LHC and future $e^+e^-$ collider. We numerically compute various measures of entanglement through Monte Carlo events based on the spin density matrix, with its elements (polarization and spin correlation) obtained by analyzing the angular distribution of the final decayed leptons.

Sensitivity of polarizations and spin correlations of Z boson to anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings at lepton collider with polarized beams

We investigate the effects of anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings in $ZZ$ and $Z\gamma$ production processes, followed by the leptonic decay of the $Z$ boson, at a lepton collider with center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=250$~GeV and polarized beams. We use an effective Lagrangian formalism to parameterize the anomalous couplings in terms of dimension-8 operators $c_{\widetilde{B}W}$, $c_{BW}$, $c_{WW}$, and $c_{BB}$, and study the sensitivity of observables such as cross~section, polarization, and spin correlation as functions of these couplings. We perform a Bayesian statistical analysis using Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods to determine simultaneous limits on the anomalous couplings, taking into account various luminosities $\mathcal{L} \in \{0.1~\text{ab}^{-1}, 0.3~\text{ab}^{-1}, 1~\text{ab}^{-1}, 3~\text{ab}^{-1}, 10~\text{ab}^{-1}\}$ and systematic uncertainties. We find that polarization and spin correlation observables significantly enhance the sensitivity to anomalous couplings, providing stringent constraints on these couplings.

Probing top quark anomalous moments in $W$ boson associated single top quark production at the LHC using polarization and spin correlation

We study the $W$ boson associated single top quark production at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to probe anomalous chromo-magnetic and chromo-electric moments of the top quark with the help of polarization and spin correlation observables besides the cross-section in the leptonic final state. We reconstruct the two neutrinos in the final state using the $M_{T2}$ assisted on-shell (MAOS) reconstruction method to measure the polarization and spin correlation asymmetries of the top quark and the $W$ boson. We estimate the limits on the anomalous moments in a detector-level simulation considering possible backgrounds for a few sets of integrated luminosities and examined the effect of systematic uncertainties.
