The equation of the Kenyon-Smillie $(2,3,4)$-Teichmüller curve

We compute the algebraic equation of the universal family over the Kenyon-Smillie $(2,3,4)$-Teichmüller curve and give a nice geometric description of the torsion map. Moreover, we re-prove independently that the found algebraic equation describes a Teichmüller curve by computing the Picard-Fuchs equation associated to the absolute cohomology bundle.

Cutting out arithmetic Teichmueller curves in genus two via Theta functions

We compute the class of arithmetic genus two Teichmueller curves in the Picard group of pseudo-Hilbert modular surfaces, distinguished according to their torsion order and spin invariant. As an application, we compute the number of genus two square-tiled surfaces with these invariants. The main technical tool is the computation of divisor classes of Hilbert Jacobi forms on the universal abelian surface over the pseudo-Hilbert modular surface.

Lyapunov spectrum of ball quotients with applications to commensurability questions

We determine the Lyapunov spectrum of ball quotients arising from cyclic coverings. The computations are performed by rewriting the sum of Lyapunov exponents as ratios of intersection numbers and by the analysis of the period map near boundary divisors. As a corollary, we complete the classification of commensurability classes of all presently known non-arithmetic ball quotients.

A origami of genus 2 with a translation

We study an example of a Teichmueller curve in the moduli space of algebraic curves of genus 2 coming from an origami S. It is particular in that its points admit the Klein four group as a subgroup of the automorphism group. We give an explicit description of its points in terms of affine plane curves, we show that the Teichmueller curve is a nonsingular, affine curve of genus 0 and we determine the number of cusps in the boundary of the moduli space.
