Breakdown of the Equivalence between Energy Content and Weight in a Weak Gravitational Field for a Quantum Body

It is shown that weight operator of a composite quantum body in a weak external gravitational field in the post-Newtonian approximation of the General Relativity does not commute with its energy operator, taken in the absence of the field. Nevertheless, the weak equivalence between the expectations values of weight and energy is shown to survive at a macroscopic level for stationary quantum states for the simplest composite quantum body - a hydrogen atom. Breakdown of the weak equivalence between weight and energy at a microscopic level for stationary quantum states can be experimentally detected by studying unusual electromagnetic radiation, emitted by the atoms, supported and moved in the Earth gravitational field with constant velocity, using spacecraft or satellite. For superpositions of stationary quantum states, a breakdown of the above mentioned equivalence at a macroscopic level leads to time dependent oscillations of the expectation values of weight, where the equivalence restores after averaging over time procedure.

Ginzburg-Landau slopes of the anisotropic upper critical magnetic field and band parameters in the superconductor (TMTSF)2ClO4

We theoretically determine the Ginzburg-Landau slopes of the anisotropic upper critical magnetic field in a quasi-one-dimensional superconductor and correct the previous works on this issue. By using the experimentally measured values of the Ginzburg-Landau slopes in the superconductor (TMTSF)$_2$ClO$_4$, we determine band parameters of its electron spectrum. Our main result is that the so-called quantum dimensional crossover has to happen in this material in magnetic fields, $H = 3-8 \ T$, which are much lower than the previously assumed. We discuss how this fact influences metallic and superconducting properties of the (TMTSF)$_2$ClO$_4$.

Cooper Pairs with Broken Time-Reversal, Parity, and Spin-Rotational Symmetries in Singlet Type-II Superconductors

We show that singlet superconductivity in the Abrikosov vortex phase is absolutely unstable with respect to the appearance of a chiral triplet component of a superconducting order parameter. This chiral component, p_x + i p_y, breaks time-reversal, parity, and spin rotational symmetries of the internal order parameter, responsible for a relative motion of two electrons in the Cooper pair. We demonstrate that the symmetry breaking Pauli paramagnetic effects can be tuned by a magnetic field strength and direction and can be made of the order of unity in organic and high-temperature layered superconductors.
